oh my gosh!!! I absolutely love that I found this place and it's so close to my home in Highlands Ranch! I now have standing appointments once a month for both of my dogs, Sometimes I cannot get there right away after they're finished and they keep them and take such good care, Thank you so much for caring about my animals. I called because the website said your accepting new clients. That's not true. What are people with new puppies supposed to do if no place is accepting new clients? I would suggest you update your website to be honest.**update-per the business response, I was told on the phone that they are not taking new clients. That was it. Nothing about the summer per the website. Add a date if that's important but your staff should tell new clients that they can make appointments for after June 20th. That's the way you get new loyal customers. read more

These folks are the best. Hailee is a rescue and as such I had no idea about whether she had regular grooming before I got her. Mark has been patient with her and sensitive to her likes and dislikes. He remembers from month to month what to do, but always asks if there needs to be a change. The front desk folks are always friendly and easy to work with. They send you a text message about 2 days before your appointment, which is a great reminder. She always comes out looking and smelling like a million bucks. read more

Honestly... this place is the BEST!! My shih-tzu is 8 years old now and she has been groomed at a variety of places. I have never seen a place so clean and the service so exceptional for our little Bella Joy!! They know how to treat our little fur baby and I can't wait to go back! read more

A Clip Above did an amazing job with our large golden doodle pup!! He had some matting behind his ears and legs and they were able to get them out without cutting his hair too short. very dissapointed in my experience sad to say. I have scheduled with mark in the past and always had a great experience. I called a week in advanced and I was told mark is taking a break from grooming right now so I opted to schedule with another groomer so moved my schedule around and got off work early to get my dog groomed. they were having plumbing issues and called me last minute to cancel, which is life but annoying. well I dropped my dog off the next day for grooming with angela (who has 15 years experience) at 8am today and was told my appt was at 10 and would take 3-4 hours. well I get a call at 10 and was told she was ready and I was surprised she was done so early. I went and picked my dog up and she looked terrible. her hair cut was choppy, uneven, and some spots were missed. I asked for her to pretty much be redone and tidy her up (lisa did a much better job with what she had). I was surprised that the original groomer never came out and talked to me and figured out what was wrong and how to fix it. I work in the animal industry and refer about 5 clients a week to a clip above along with social media referral but after my experience today and now that mark doesnt work there I will be referring my clients elsewhere unfortunately. I just didn't feel a crappy/uneven trim on my golden was worth $85 especially someone who has 15 years experience. People at my work even asked what happened to my dog because the trim was that bad. Im so dissapointed because this was my go to grooming. read more

They did a great job with my newly adopted pupper, Ryder. They were pretty booked but even found a way to squeeze us in since she just left the humane society. She looks so fresh and clean and they really gave her an A+ experience. The bandana is a very cute touch. Ryder is a very happy girl and we will definitely be returning! read more

My baby - Rocket loves, loves, loves his groomer - Shae! It is always so nice to find some one that loves my dog as much as I do. Shae always does a great job. She will cut his hair any way I want, happy to make adjustments and to offer suggestions. No one will touch Rocket's hair again, ever. We are so lucky to have found her. Shae, we appreciate all your hard work. Thank you. Love, Rocket, Stephen and Irene Cross read more

The best of the best! Every single groomer we've worked with is amazing. They love animals and it shows. Our doodle always comes back looking beautiful, and loves her time there. Our sweet Westie, Zoey, received the royal treatment at her latest grooming at A Clip Above. Our groomer, Declan, took Zoey from a royal mess to looking like the queen that she thinks she is. Declan considered Zoey's age and achy body with frequent breaks, gentle touch, and knowing when our little girl needed a rest. Declan demonstrates a true love and understanding of the temperament of dogs. Her grooming skills are excellent. Declan gives her doggie clients tons of love and patience, and true knowledge of breed-specific grooming. Truthfully, we tried other groomers, but came back to A Clip Above, because they are just so good. read more

I spoke with Lisa about grooming our little 6 month old maltese puppy. Lisa was so caring on the phone with me and assured me the best care will be given to our fur baby. The reviews for A Clip Above have been excellent, I've researched this company well and feel very comfortable taking our bundle of love to them for her grooming needs and I'm so delighted we have Lisa doing the grooming. read more

When it comes to trying a new place or service I rely heavily on reviews and referrals. Finding the right groomer was no different. We've been to the big box pet store groomers and smaller family owned groomers (With mixed reviews) and unfortunately had really uncomfortable or straight up BAD experiences with all of them.... Until we found A Clip Above. We've been going for several months now and have worked with 3 different groomers there.... and all of them have done a great job with our girl Juno. They are all very friendly, patient, talented and most importantly have a genuine love for animals, which is key in this business and in earning the trust of any pet parent. We hope to be long time customers and I've happily recommended them to others who've also reported great experiences. Thanks to Kate, Erin and Willow who are all so excellent at what they do! And all the other groomers there that we've yet to work with.... we'll see you at our next appointment! read more

I'm a first-time dog owner, and this was my first time taking my dog to be groomed. The ladies at A Cut Above, were warm and welcoming. They explained what my dog Dan needed as far as regular maintenance without making me feel stupid (thank you!!!). They called when they were 15 min from being ready (such a great little added perk), and Dan looked ADORABLE and very pleased with his puppy cut and handsome handkerchief! The staff said he had behaved very well...honestly it was like picking up my son from his first day at preschool - exciting and silly and fun! Thanks to the amazing staff for making the experience from start to finish a delight - Dan will be back monthly for his "day at the spa!!" read more

First visit and I can tell my dogs were treated well. They are so fluffy and happy!!! Place was super clean, friendly and I felt comfort table talking to the groomer about my wants and concerns. Prices are competitive. I would rather pay a little more to know my babies are getting the care they need and not treated like an inconvenience. We will continue use them. I am finally relieved to find a groomers that loves dogs and takes pride in what they do. read more

The very best groomers for our Bernadoodle. They came highly recommended by several friends and we have not been disappointed. Tam always listens to what we would like and follows through. Entire staff is very friendly. We wouldn't take our guy any place else. read more

This is my favorite dog grooming salon. I have been going to this salon for at least 12 years and every groomer i have had was excellent. This last groomer, Mark, would come out to my car and help carry my elderly dog in so i did not have to fuss with the ramp. And he is the only male groomer that my female dog will let near her. That really says it all. When she is in his arms, she quits shaking. She has total trust in him. And he is a phenomenal groomer. He has a gift for dog grooming and bonding with dogs. read more

Since moving to the area we have brought our dogs here 3 times. The hair cuts are good but they are always missing the other services. For example, they didn't clean out my dogs glands... my dog was acting funny and wasn't being active, took him to vet and his glands were packed even though was just at groomers the week prior. Currently my dog is limping around, upon checking him.. his nails are so long it hurts to walk on that foot which means they didn't trim his nails the last time we brought him in and they also didn't clean out his ears. read more

NOT GOOD - I really do not recommend taking your pup to A Clip Above. Find a different groomer! Although the grooming service itself is good, the general salon operation is terrible. I recently took my two small pups in for grooming and was told it would be 2-3 hours for their service being that they'd be done at the same time by different groomers. Great, I thought! Seems about normal for two dogs. After FIVE hours and still no call with the 20 minute warning to head on over to pick them up, I called the salon countless times (went to their voicemail). I stopped in and was told they were "just finishing up." I waited in my car out front while they "finished up" ... still no call after 45 minutes waiting in 90 degree heat in my car. I went in to check on their status to make sure everything was okay and was told oh, sorry, "my fault" by the gal at the front. "The dogs have been ready and there was a mix-up not calling you, according to our clip board system here." I asked to speak to the Manager (Tam) who couldn't care less about the whole afternoon debacle. I received a mixed up, false story from her about how the day unfolded; the timeline didn't make any sense why it would take so long for my dogs to get groomed (5 hours!). Long story short, my dogs were in kennels practically all day with no communication to me from the salon. I even spoke to a fellow customer in the lobby while waiting who shared that "this happens all the time" with his dog at A Clip Above. A Clip Above is very strict about customers showing up on time with a strict cancellation policy requiring a $25/dog deposit, yet it's not a two-way street with their operation's timeliness with their customers. I don't usually write these types of reviews because I'm fairly easy-going, but this experience and the Manager's dishonest story of the timeline left me no choice but to find a new groomer and warn all future customers to beware of A Clip Above's shady operation. It's not a place I would trust leaving my dog ... read more
