So, I decided to rent from Enterprise on Long Island in Medford, NY. I have been renting since the beginning of 2024, I have only rent 3 different vehicles and have taken care of them, no accidents/damages. I paid in full all my reservations every 4 weeks and renewed. I had pneumonia and a stomach virus for 12 days. I hadn't updated my reservations for a 8 days but also they had my $300 deposit on file. When my family got over this sickness, I immediately called to update my payment. I was told I was reported to risk Management? A "manager" called me named Mattie Smith (sounds like a fabricated name) told me return the car and we appreciate your business and put me on the do not rent list. They expect me also pay extra monies toward this rental. I will not and won't. I will also be reporting to this BBB, never received a deposit back even though I was told I was receiving one, then when you ask the branch they said they added to my reservation. I also kept up with oil changes, brakes and tire care for there cars. This is not professional and sounds and looks like people abusing there power. How can a million dollar company how incompetent and unprofessional managers allowing such nonsense happen? I recommend not renting from Enterprise in Medford, NY. Agent gave me the choice of cars and assigned me a very low mileage clean car I was thankful for. When I returned the car the other Agent was just as helpful. Great people were working here when I rented and returned. --- Had a problem using the Toll Device on the car--took that up with corporate and they refunded me one service charge. The device is supposed to charge you only one service charge in a 24 hour period--not a calendar day but the software was charging me a service charge for each day and not waiting 24 hours to charge. Careful driving over NYC Bridges and Tunnels with the device--For example--The Whitestone Bridge does not recognize it and will charge you the same much higher price as if you did not have a device. NYC has all these tricks to get more money out of you. Every-time I drive in NYC they find a way to charge me more money for something.

One major problem... there was no vehicle for me and the staff blamed me for not calling to confirm... REALLY?!?!? There was a phone call to me, which I returned TWICE. One time I left a message confirming the vehicle and the other time the voicemail was full. The day after my calls, I received the second of two emails with confirmation numbers on them. I arrived as planned and NO VEHICLE. The staff was not only rude, but did nothing to apologize or try to get me another vehicle with someone else. They blamed me for not confirming the vehicle. I finally left after pleading my case for 15 minutes. I played the voicemail I received and showed them the two calls. I returned to them I can see they were getting aggravated with me once I told them it's all on tape. They were directed to stop talking by one of the workers behind the desk. In short, I was told that two email confirmations with confirmation numbers doesn't mean anything because it didn't come from a phone call. HELLO?!?!?! THIS IS 2025! Unbelievable. And yes, I waited two days to write this review so I could digest what actually happened. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
