Our van broke down on a recent trip to Michigan. After stuggling with AAA in the late evening we…read moreknew we had to figure something out or we would be sleeping in a van on the side of the road. I called Acab and they were able to pick up my family and take to a motel. Then later after AAA did not respond when they were supposed again- 12:15 AM, the cab co was able to come pick me up and take to the motel. The owner/driver was able to find one of the local constables and we relayed to them that our van was broke down and we would be taking care of it tomorrow and to not have us towed. They also gave me quick run down of the city and where the fine eating establishment were. They know the area well. Big thanks to them.

I booked the limo bus for a 12 person wine tasting trip. Apparently there was a miscommunication…read morebetween the driver and the office about the time our trip ended. Prior to the trip I sent them our itinerary- with timing and our reservation time. We got on the bus after our third stop assuming we were going to the forth reservation, but the driver just started driving us back to our house without saying anything. I asked where we were going, he said the time is up so I'm taking you back- I told him that wasn't right, that I had discussed/emailed the plans with the office. His next response, was well this is what it says on my phone and I have another limo group I have to get to. He dropped us off and sped away. I also asked our driver to give us a heads up when we had about 10 minutes before we needed to leave. He never did this. And in fact when I rounded up our group to go to the second stop he was parked down in the parking area chatting with another driver. I've planned over 20 wine trips around the country, and I've never had a driver do these things. I called the office several times and was told a manager would contact me, of course they never did.

The bus…read morewas clean, had a great stereo system that we could hook our phones up to and play whatever music we wanted to hear. Mike, our driver was very polite and accommodating to our group. We made it to all of our reservations early. Brad, was very helpful and did a great job dealing with my indecisiveness on which vehicle our group would be taking for the evening. I will certainly use this company every time I plan to get my group of friends together for a night out.

We were in South Bend about a month and a half ago to attend the Notre Dame vs. Louisville game. My…read morecousin in a Louisville grad, and he thought it would be neat to see his Alma mater at one of the most sacred grounds for college football. We flew into Chicago, grabbed about 12 of his buddies, and made the drive up to our hotel in South Bend, which was a few miles from the stadium. We didn't know how big of a deal parking for the game was going to be around the stadium, or how bad the traffic was going to be after the game, and since there was 12 of us, we decided to get a bit crazy, and rent a party bus to take us to the game, and then hopefully get us out of there afterwards. Afterwards, we had dinner reservations at the Lasalle Grill, therefore we had to get there quickly afterwards. We dialed up Michiana Party Bus, and they had a great special going on, therefore we booked their service. Their service was great from start to finish, with the booking going very smoothly, and the ride was great. We got a tour of South Bend, stopped at Fiddler's Heath for a Guinness or two, then went to Notre Dame Stadium. The game ended in a a Louisville win, which my cousin loved, and off we went to our dinner reservations. We made dinner right at the time of our reso, which was great. I would recommend Michiana Party Bus to anyone who is in the Elkhart or South Bend area!

My driver hit a dog during my ride, and while I'm not sure of the outcome, it appeared to be a…read moreserious (potentially fatal) injury. I was also concerned that the driver was frequently distracted by his phone-making calls and texts, as well as scrolling-for much of the drive. It was a very disheartening experience, and I believe it could have been avoided if the driver had been more attentive. Based on this experience, I won't be using South Bend Taxi again. EDIT: I've read the owner's response and would like to clarify a few points. The accident occurred on an empty street around 5:30 AM with no traffic, and I was the one who contacted the police. We resumed our trip after the officer arrived and the police report was completed, as the officer said that an insurance claim couldn't be filed if the driver left prior to completion. I can't say I noticed if the neighborhood was "sketchy" as the response claims, but I'm also not certain I see how it's related to the incident. While I've had several successful rides with this company in the past, I've consistently observed drivers using their phones directly in hand, not via Bluetooth. Regarding reimbursement, I had not been informed of any prior to reading this reply; the owner simply asked me to reach out, and when I called, I received no response. Unfortunately, the company's reply seems to misrepresent the situation at certain points. I'll add a star to my rating because I appreciate the positive experiences I've had previously and can confirm that I've had good customer service in the past, but I remain concerned about the recurring inattentiveness I've witnessed while riding with this company
