He didn't race along, just went with the flow of traffic, felt nice and secure on I-94 & the Dan Ryan. Coming back from the trip, our train was 4 hours late arriving. William kept in communication with us via text, and was right there when our train finally got in. Price was considerably less than the other two limo companies that I got quotes from. Also, originally we were going to get picked up from Chicago Union Station, and we changed it to Homewood two days before before we left. There was no charge, and the person on the phone at Americar shuttle changed the reservation quickly, courteously, and no change in price. They seem very flexible and customer oriented.

I booked the limo bus for a 12 person wine tasting trip. Apparently there was a miscommunication…read morebetween the driver and the office about the time our trip ended. Prior to the trip I sent them our itinerary- with timing and our reservation time. We got on the bus after our third stop assuming we were going to the forth reservation, but the driver just started driving us back to our house without saying anything. I asked where we were going, he said the time is up so I'm taking you back- I told him that wasn't right, that I had discussed/emailed the plans with the office. His next response, was well this is what it says on my phone and I have another limo group I have to get to. He dropped us off and sped away. I also asked our driver to give us a heads up when we had about 10 minutes before we needed to leave. He never did this. And in fact when I rounded up our group to go to the second stop he was parked down in the parking area chatting with another driver. I've planned over 20 wine trips around the country, and I've never had a driver do these things. I called the office several times and was told a manager would contact me, of course they never did.

Shane took us to a wine trail in Geneva and he was so patient and accommodating. We had emailed other companies that offer tours but I found Shane to be the nicest person and also very prompt in his responses. The prices are also very reasonable. I know during this pandemic we are worried about sanitation and social distancing. Shane's transportation was very clean and Shane had a mask on the whole time. We also made sure we had our mask on throughout the ride and tour. Geneva is this small little town and there is so much to do there. Lots of shopping, restaurants, chocolate shops, and of course wine. Shane did all his research and it was nice because some of the tasting rooms and the winery were expecting us. It was a personal experience. We had so much fun, we both didn't want to leave. The weather was just perfect. I cant wait to plan our next private tour. Thank you Shane for everything. This will definitely go down in our books as one of the most memorable moments. You made our celebration one of the best. We will see you soon with our friends.

A group of us used this company for a concert last Saturday night and it was a nightmare!…read more I won't even get into the driver Sal's driving abilities (which were absolutely awful) or the dirty, smelly van...but let me tell you what happened with our pick up instead. We paid over $700 for a job and we did NOT get what we paid for. Once the concert was over, we had to wait for almost 1.5 hours for him to pick us up! This is unacceptable! First, we walked 2 times around the entire venue and parking lots searching for him, as he kept saying he was "dropping the pin with his location"...we never found him! We all tried calling him numerous times as well and all he could say was "I don't know where I am... or I don't know where you guys are!" Are you kidding me?? What kind of person that has absolutely no sense of direction becomes a driver? It was an awful end to a great night. AND to top it all off, I have gotten no response from the company except that they needed to talk to the driver first and they would get neck to me. NOPE!! Nothing! We went looking for Amy money back, I just wanted an explanation and an apology! Definitely will never use Avanti again (which is a shame because we used to use them years ago all of the time) and we will spread the word of our horrible experience! I felt apprehensive reaching out to them to book transportation for a bachelorette party, given the heavily mixed reviews I saw on their (now removed) Google business listing - including several saying that this company no call/no-showed. Since they were the only affordable option, I held my breath, reached out to them, and hoped we wouldn't be added to the mounting stack of flake-out stories about this company around the web. Welp, guess what happened to us. Even though Carrie confirmed our ride the morning of, she reached out and asked if she could push pickup time back by 15 minutes, which gave me a bad feeling, but she promised someone would show up at our original time. Pickup time rolled around, and there was no van to be seen. I called and texted with no answer. 15 minutes later, they still hadn't shown up so we completely had to rearrange our ride situation for 9 people and find alternative transportation...and ended up being late to our event. Did they call or text us? No. I did a lot of mental gymnastics to convince myself it would be okay to book this service -- that as long as I checked in a few times the week-of and got confirmation from them (which we did), we'd be the exception to what seems to be the rule of this company completely ghosting its customers. We were not, and you won't be either. Listen to your gut and listen to the reviews. Don't bother with these people or risk the embarrassment of having to rally your group of friends to quickly find other transportation. The negative things you're reading about them online are true and you can never tell when they will or won't answer their phone. The positive reviews are honestly probably fake -- It's not that hard to set up a new Gmail account. My guess is they prioritize longer-distance, higher-dollar winery trips and will abandon customers who have pre-arranged shorter-distance rides with them if they find a better offer. Michigan City and New Buffalo have Uber service. Use that, instead.
