We really appreciate the quick response we received working with Ashley and Ray. Both very hard…read moreworkers, honest and communicative. We bought this property not having any experience with living off a well system. Turns out our tank was not holding air and had a leak in the piping system to our house. Ashley got a service person out right away and scheduled us to re-pipe the main. Ray was a pleasure to work with and very hard worker considering the Valley Center summer heat! We will for sure keep their contact information on hand if we ever need them. Price was right on our budget (ie: I didn't have to do the work). Thank you Ashley and Ray for a great experience.

After reading these reviews, I felt reassured that Ben Fain was reliable and honest. Unfortunately,…read moreBen's conduct with me bore little resemblance to all his positive reviews. Here is what unfolded recently ... My vacation home is a 150 miles away from my main home and I am hardly ever there. So I had to trust Ben completely when he said that he had replaced the well pump motor and that the well was now in good working order. Ben was not happy when I asked if it was okay to pay him in several days giving me time to verify the wells status. His previous temporary fix a week earlier didn't work at all, so I was a bit reluctant to pay this time without checking it out. Despite my hesitancy, he demanded that I pay him immediately via a credit card. So I paid in full based on what I believed was his honorable reputation. The well did work for a couple of watering cycles, but 2-3 weeks later it failed once again. Ben went out to investigate and stated that it was a minor issue and that he would fix it in couple weeks. About 2.5 weeks later, with temps close to 100 degrees and a lot of dying plants, I called Ashley his assistant to convey some urgency. She assured me that he would be out in a few days to make the repairs. Needless to say, he never showed up, nor were any of my increasingly desperate calls to his office ever returned.

His communication was quick and clear from the start. Even though Yelp has its own messaging system, Nick made himself available by phone as well, which made communication much smoother and more efficient. He took the time to answer questions and kept everything straightforward and easy to understand. As a realtor with no prior experience handling septic systems, I truly appreciated his support and knowledge. He was patient, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. Professional, responsive, and reliable--I would definitely recommend Nick and CJ deBoer Engineering & Septic to anyone needing septic or engineering services.

The technicians were unable to finish the job on the scheduled date. They set a date they would come back to finish. That day came and no one showed up. No communication or notice. I had to call to find out what was going on. The office manager told me that they would not be coming that day to finish because they had scheduled another job for that day and that was taking priority. The earliest they could reschedule was another two days out. We never agreed to any change in schedule.Totally unacceptable! After the technician returned to finish, there was a small change in the scope of work that increased the price by around 10%. We agreed this was OK. We told the technician to have the invoice for the additional work emailed and we would pay it ASAP. We had already paid the original estimate for the whole job. The very next day we got a phone call from the office manager asking if we had received the invoice and had paid it. I replied we had not received it, send it again and we would pay it. The next day we get another phone call asking again about the invoice receipt and asking for payment. We replied we had received the invoice and it was scheduled to be paid by check immediately by our accounting dept. We were then told that this was not acceptable and that we were expected to pay upon demand. Considering the unprofessional treatment we had already experienced in having the job delayed, to be harrased for payment is absurd. We will never use this company again!
