I usually don't write bad reviews but Powerhouse Plumbing did not do right by me. This was 3 years ago. They did install my water heater just fine. After less than 1 year the temperature regulator failed. It was under warranty, I went through the appropriate process myself and I got the replacement part. Then I called Powerhouse plumbing to come and replace it. They told me they couldn't because they don't work on gas lines. I needed to hire someone who does, they recommended someone. The cost was estimated around $400+. This was not ok with me. I had paid for the job to be done and due to a manufacturers flaw on a waterheater they had suggested I get, I now was supposed to pay more ! I was under warranty! And they wouldn't even do the work! In my mind that is not good business practice with a customer. I ended up hiring another plumber who charged less than half for labor and didn't have to do this big gas line work they had claimed was needed. So no, I would not recommend them. read more

I was replacing a rented Culligan whole house water softener and RO system under sink with a new system I purchased. I got quotes from at least 5 different plumbing companies for installation, some with quotes as high as $2500. Only two of the five bothered to come out to look at the system, Powerhouse Plumbing was one of those companies. I had sent photos of everything and explained what I wanted done. Christian gave me a quote online, and he came out the next day to physically look at everything himself, the new system was still on order so he wasn't able to see what it looked like other than online, and the old culligan system was still installed so he wasn't sure what they would take out in terms of pipes and fittings. We scheduled a date a few weeks out when the old system would be uninstalled by Culligan, and the new one could be installed. Christian communicated professionally and always kept me aware of schedules, he was on time, and always professional in his work. A lot of work had to be done to re-run some piping to include a pre-filter that came with the new system. Christian never charged me extra labor, only the parts, he stuck to his original quote even though a few things he had to go back to the supplier for additional parts that could not have been foreseen. It is hard to find a great, honest, reliable plumber and one that will give you an honest fair price for the work. Christian is just that! We will use him again at our home, and we plan to use him for our rental properties in the future! If you want it done right, and you want a fair price, don't look any further. Plumber (Christian) came out and assessed the situation and recommended replacing the valves as well as having a company come to mitigate the water damage. We called them to unplug a drain. Christian acted polite as he was training someone with him. He said he noticed a small drip and said we may have water damage or mold underneath the cabinet base. He called his water remediation friend who happened to be available at 11:15pm. He recommended having someone come and check it out and to notify our insurance company. We did that. 2 days later the base platform was cut out and No mold or water damage was present. A few days later it starts leaking where Christian "fixed" it. I texted him with a photo asking him to come back and fix it. He never responded to us. According to our insurance inspector, this has become a common plumbing chaser scam with water damage remediation companies. Almost 4 hours later they left. Believe!!! Christian initially took a lot of his own time researching and answering questions from me regarding various whole house water filtration systems. When I finally made a decision he set up installation the day after delivery. On the day of installation, he began the project which required shutting down the house water. He did not inform me that he was not able to come those days, and I had to contact him to figure out whether he was coming.
