An update. The outside drain started dripping again, so I called A/C Lady again. They came out the next day and started working on the drain. After about an hour, another tech arrived and they both worked another hour and a half. The drain was completely stopped up with a hard residue. Where it came from they didn't know but I saw the chunks that they broke loose in the drain. It's all good now. I tried to pay them at least for a service charge for today, but they explained it should have been 100% repaired the first time and thus no charge for today. It doesn't get any more honest than that!!!!! If you have an A/C or Heating issue give A/C Lady a call. You will not regret it. read more

Our AC unit is 16 years old. The outside unit started cutting out/ not running /not cooling, on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I looked on Yelp for AC people, felt good about AC Lady reviews and called. Peggy was super on the phone, said she could have a guy out Sat morning. I asked how much the service call would be, she said just their regular rate, I forgot what it was, but was very reasonable for next day on a holiday weekend. A guy came out, we had a leak in the coil, motor was going out. They filled it with Freon to get us through the weekend and gave us pricing on replacing the unit. Our AC stopped working yesterday at 4:30p. We had previously read a bunch of reviews on Angies List and saw AC Lady with one of the higgest ratings. Not only that, there were a lot of comments about her honesty and great prices. We called AC Lady at 4:45p and Mary took a message. Peggy, the owner of AC Lady, showed up at 5:30p. Said she was close by (Euless). She quickly analyzed our system and said it's likely one of four things with dirty filter being most likely. I change filters religiously! Yet, we were cleaning the garage a few weeks ago and brought a bunch of boxes in the house. I planned on changing the filter early but we weren't finished going through them yet. I'll be darned though, my fairly new filter was the dirtiest I'd seen. Peggy showed me the ice on the coils and advised that I change filters, leave system off for two hrs, confirm it all melted before turning back on, and see if that resolved. it. Told me to call her in the morning and report status. She refused money. Said it was nothing for her to check out. Well, it wasn't "nothing". She spent 30-40 min with us. Just amazing. It was this kind of thing I had read about on Angies List. I'm happy to report my AC is working again. And I learned something, too. I learned something about HVAC systems. We have since used them 2 more times. They keep helping us limp along until the time we will ha e to replace. They've given us estimates to replace which are extremely fair. I don't believe I have ever taken time to write a review, but have to today. I had taken my 80 year old mom to doctor this morning for out patient surgery, only to bring her home to rest with a thermostat that was reading almost 90 degrees! I called several companies and left messages.....still waiting to get a return call..... but luckily, I called the AC lady and she answered immediately! Within 20 minutes, Dillon was at my mom's house and fixed the problem . He went above and beyond, cleaned the unit, sprayed it out, replaced the capacitor and my sweet mom is cooling off as we speak! Dillon was such a pleasure to deal with. I cannot say enough! I was totally expecting to get price gouged for this late call on this HOT Texas day, but the charge was very reasonable and fair. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! When I initially called, Peggy gave me all kinds of free advice on how to troubleshoot our AC problem (not blowing cold air, crackling and popping noises when the air cut off, etc). While the advice helped, we decided to err on the side of caution and called the AC Lady for an in-person inspection. First, they confirmed the appointment early in the morning and gave me a 30 minute warning call to let me know they were on their way (how cool is that?). Second, Zack showed up and was as as courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough as you could hope for. He even discovered a HUGE mistake the last repairman made the previous summer that was actually causing the fan to run backwards (yeah... crazy, I know) and fixed that too! WOW! He gave me an honest estimate about how long our current AC would last and the overall repair cost was just over $100! If you are looking for an honest AC repair company- the AC Lady is for you. I want to give a five star review to the AC lady in Euless. I came home this evening to find my outside AC unit not running. I called Peggy and told her my AC was out so she got in her truck and drove down to my house. I live in Euless just down the street from her. She found the problem in just a few minutes and had it fixed in about 15 minutes. I now have cold air. The outside unit is running fine. You can't find service that good anywhere else. She replaced the big capacitor on the compressor and had it running again in not more than 15 minutes. It's a common part and she had a new one on her truck. If you want good service for a good price and if you want someone who has vast experience in the air conditioning repair business then you need to call the AC lady. I've used several different companies, even purchased a new unit from one company but it could never handle the high temps and lasted only 5 years. Called to get quote on replacement unit as mine was out of service, I explained what I thought was the problem she came over and tested the failed parts, turns out I need to have the fan replaced. Peggy went through the entire unit testing capacitors, looking at the wiring and on and on. I said that i would go ahead and replace unit instead of fixing it again. Wow, just wow! We called after 5pm yesterday as our compressor unit fan was not running and ergo the house was not cooling. Peggy answered the phone and promptly returned my call shortly after as promised. (She was busy with another client) She sent Michael out to diagnose (AGAIN AFTER 5PM) and he confirmed it was the fan but he did not have one on the truck. They returned early this AM and replaced the fan without issue. No charge for coming after 5 yesterday, no extra charge for coming two days in a row and absolute fair pricing!!! I never write reviews but this company is so deserving of an awesome review I felt I had to. Our AC stopped working yesterday so we called Peggy first thing this morning. Her son Zack was at our house by 9:30am even though they had a very busy day already. It took him no time to figure out the problem. The motor wasn't working outside. I thought the price was very reasonable to replace the motor. Turned out when he pulled the motor out it was not the motor at all, but just a burned wire. he replace the wire and put the motor back in and it worked like a charm. He saved us a ton of money and I was so impressed with his honesty. You just don't ever get service like that. Also he didn't try to push a new unit on us. He repaired what we had for now but if that old unit ever goes out I will be calling the AC lady to fix it. read more

Peggy has been to my house 3 times - once on a holiday in the summer and only charged me a trip charge to fix the problem, had her change out my duct work, and tonight. I had no heat and it was 7:30pm. She arrived (although she was not feeling well) and found that a breaker had been switched to off (I feel stupid). No charge! Can you believe that. I have never and will never use another company for heating and air ever! Our a/c stopped blowing cold last night and when I got up this morning I began the search for someone who would come out on a Sunday and not try to take advantage of a bad situation. After reading some reviews of other a/c companies which most of the reviews were about being ripped-off by trying to sell you on replacing the unit or some other expensive maintenance procedure, I called my mother and asked if she knew of anyone. She told me about the AC Lady. I called her this morning and though Sunday isn't a normal work day she came by a short time later. She found the problem quickly (a bad capacitor) and fixed it.
