We first heard about A/C Lady on the Nextdoor website, and with summer right around the corner, we decided it was the perfect time to have our A/C system checked to make sure it was ready for the Texas heat. On April 7, 2026, we scheduled an appointment and spoke with Melissa, the receptionist and appointment coordinator. She was incredibly sweet and polite, and set us up with a service window between 1 PM and 3 PM with their top technician, Nathan. Right on time, Nathan arrived at our home. He was friendly, professional, and had a warm, welcoming demeanor. He worked quickly yet thoroughly, answered all of our questions patiently, and carefully explained his findings after completing the inspection. He confirmed the A/C was working well but noted it had lost about a pound of R22 refrigerant, which has been discontinued. He explained that the unit would eventually need to be replaced and walked us through all of our options without any sales pressure. The inspection lasted about an hour and a half, and his attention to detail was impressive. After discussing the pros and cons, we decided to move forward with replacing the unit. We coordinated with Michael and scheduled installation for Monday, April 13, 2026, at 9 AM. Today was installation day, and A/C Lady sent their elite installation team--Edgar, David, Daniel, and Juan. These four worked like a team twice their size. They were fast, efficient, organized, and operated like a well-oiled machine. Each person knew their role and executed it flawlessly. Shortly after the installation was complete, Michael stopped by to personally inspect the work, which we really appreciated. We are extremely impressed with A/C Lady. Good overall experience. Parts were deverted to wrong address so had to wait several extra days. Good thing we have 3 acs or we'd been in trouble. Worked out though. Excellent AC and Heating company. I switched to them about 1 year ago and I've been extremely happy with them since then. Just today I used them since one of my heat pump units stopped and with the summer approaching, I needed a repair. They were able to give me an appointment really quickly and Sam the technician came out and was able to diagnose the problem. . It was not an easy fix but he went over and beyond expectations to repair the unit and the charge was extremely low, compared to other companies. Like many in the review section, I decided to give A/C Lady a try based on the stellar reviews I read. Am glad to report they did not disappoint. I reached our to them to get a third opinion. The first A/C company I tried stated I needed to replace the entire unit, the second A/C company I tried stated they had trouble finding the right parts after chasing them for weeks. When Mike from A/C Lady came by, he diagnosed the issue, found the part within half an hour, and had the unit fixed within the next hour at a very reasonable price. I can't believe what a great experience this was--I was experiencing an issue and another company came out and gave me a quote to replace a motor but also saying my other unit was close to going out and should be replaced. I called the A/C Lady and left a message asking if they could give me a second opinion. Peggy called me back within an hour and said they would be happy to help. She has her tech Daniel out the next morning. He took his time and patiently explained things to me--showing me the tools with the measurements and demonstrating what he was seeing up in the attic. I didn't need a new system (shocker) or a new motor. He added coolant and changed the filter. Literally thousands saved. He said they don't charge for second opinions (which is amazing!). I have had the AC Lady out for a few seasonal checks and when my system stopped working I called on them again due to my previous experience. They are known for being professional, accurate and fairly priced. They lived up to all of that and more on my install project. They attempted a lower level repair first in the hopes it would fix the problem. When it didn't they applied the total cost of that repair to a new system. I just love running into people who do business with integrity. I was completely surprised when I got a call back close to immediately. I was told the service tech could come out the next day AM. I jumped on it. My husband and I were recently without AC after our thermostat lost power. We initially attempted to go through our home warranty company for a repair because HVAC systems were covered - this was a huge mistake. The home warranty company sent three different contractors over the course of 6 weeks and each time diagnosed the AC with a different issue, eventually claiming we need an entirely new furnace which would be an out of pocket cost of nearly $2,000 despite our coverage.
