Vermont winters can be grey, dark and cold at times but it's super cozy shops like this that will sparkle your life right back up. Walking in you get hit with a wave of fragrant incense, and welcomed by Buddha statues and large amethyst crystals. Wind Chimes and light catchers crystals are hanging from the ceiling. You'll find everything from incense (sticks, palo santo, incense cones, resins, sage, sweetgrass), to healing crystals (on strings, tumbled stones, geodes, pyramids), to books and CDs. They also have singing bowls, candles, jewelry, and some beads for those crafty and looking to make their own jewelry or other project. In the back section of the store where the books and CDs are is where they have private card readings. (One day I'll get to a one!) I ended up getting a strand of labradorite beads right before they closed, so I'm looking forward to the next visit when I have more time!

The place was actually bigger inside than I had thought so. On the right side from the entrance, is where all the cute knickknacks are found--toys, mugs, cards, stuffed animals and birds, children's books, posters, and the like. On the left side is where a lot of more fragile merchandise is found-- glass orbs, ceramic ware, pottery, sun catchers, Vermont products and souvenirs, etc. At the back part is a whole clothing section where you can find souvenir shirts and sweaters, a wall of Crocs, and a variety of Minnetonka moccasins. And of course, green frog toys in all forms are also sold here. Stuff sold here can be found elsewhere I'm sure. But, this makes for a good stop in case you are lacking time to shop around and are already headed out for the ferry.

It's very pleasant to stroll along Church Street, especially in the summertime and there are plenty of benches where you can sit and people watch. Church Street Marketplace has a mixture of chain and local stores. You can find everything from used books, to outdoor gear to name brand clothing. My favorite stores at Golden Hour where you can find lots of cute gifts, Smugglers Notch Distillery where you can sample delicious vodka, gin, bourbon, and maple liqueur, and Flora & Fauna - a second floor store filled with curiosities and oddities. Unfortunately, The 10,000 Villages store that I always enjoyed visiting, the Sox Market, and the Earthbound Store that I always found beautiful clothing in have all closed. There's also a great Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop on Church Street, several restaurants in a range of price levels, and some very comfortable cafes. Definitely a place you will want to spend some time visiting when you are in Burlington.

It appeared decently safe, though there were some homeless people around the marketplace. The street parkings need to be paid with ParkMobile app during the posted hours. There are several hotels only few minutes walk from this place. There's also a parking lot nearby that offers 2 hours of free parking.

In the summer, they give free hayrides during the Clinton County Fair. Mary the horse is very sweet and the cows and goats will also say hello! In the fall you can pick gorgeous sunflowers and take pictures in the fields. During Halloweekend you can go through the corn mazes and pick out your favorite pumpkin. This place is perfect for families too, the children can visit the petting zoo where the pigs, donkeys, goats roam free in the fences. You can actually walk into their gates and play with them. We loved meeting the baby goat, Loco and her mother Coco! The pigs love their belly rubs and will fall over when scratching them! It's very cute. Many of the things to do here are free so great value! They sell local apples, gifts and fun things in their gift shop too. Supporting the local farms in town is great for the community here. This is one of my favorite local farms to visit in town!
