I really hate waiting on line for food, but these bagels are SO worth it. The line moves quickly, the staff is always smiling, and the reward of egg bagels for my husband, salt bagels for my daughter and oddly, asiago bagels for me - so so so so worth it! I've always been a salt bagel lover, but when they only had 2 left, I gave them for my daughter and tried the asiago. It was likely the best bagel I have ever tasted. Delicious FRESH bagels from our amazing local bagel shop!! The crab cream cheese is an absolute must try. I love supporting this family owned and run small business right in my neighborhood. Everyone there is so nice and the service is impeccable. The last time I took my niece and nephew there they even gave them free cookies :-) If the line looks long don't leave...they move quickly!! This place is one of the best bagel spots in OCMD. The line is out the door and moves quick. They were out of the crab cheese but the Lox cream cheese is just as good. My boyfriend and I came to Ocean Pines for a Valentine's day get away & we were very excited to find a breakfast sandwich place very close to our AirBnB. Perfect for a lazy, rainy Saturday. In terms of COVID, they've adjusted their seating area to create ample space between tables & placed a barrier of chairs around the registers/display cases to protect their workers. Workers are all wearing masks behind some plexiglass barriers too. The turkey sausage, egg, pepper jack cheese everything bagel sandwich was delicious. 10/10 would eat again. Would have liked some hot sauce to go with it but they did have ketchup. The blueberry bagel was very soft on the outside and had a good chew. Sun dried tomato was a bit hard at first (maybe a day old?) But when sliced and toasted with chive cream cheese it was pretty good. The small blueberry cheesecake was a perfect size for dessert but not too indulgent. Very creamy and plenty of blueberry compote on top, with very plumb blueberries. All in all, this place is a gem! read more

I've been staying in the Pines for years and have never made it to this bagel place. That will be changing. Despite a line out the door, we ordered in a quick manner. The service was great and speedy considering the amount of customers. The egg and cheese bagel was tasty and I found myself happily thinking back on it throughout the day. The cheese was sharp and melty over a nicely cooked egg. The bagel quality was nearly perfect (it could have stood to be proofed a little longer and then our finished sandwich was only barely toasted). Still, they win major points for putting everything seeds on both sides of the bagel. A great breakfast to start our day heading into OC. read more

I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on Everything and she had the onion bagel with cream cheese. The Everything truly had everything and was fully covered in it. Perfectly cooked Boar's Head thick bacon (and I'm a stickler for bacon), melted white american along with the egg, meshed together "to keep together" (not messy) a solid sandwich that just made me a very happy man. After hearing the guy in front of me order, I asked to add jalapeños. Clutch move! Do it. And her onion bagel was so well coated with big size chunks of toasty onions. There's so much flavor. Nevermind the previous negative review someone left about toasting the bagel. A legit bagel doesn't need toasting. The outside had the perfect crisp to it. And lastly, the service and atmosphere was fantastic. The girls were all hustling and very attentive. I believe her name is Peggy, at the counter? Super sweet. Made me feel at home. When I walk in a place as a first-timer and notice cheerful repeat customers conversing with the staff it tells me something. We recently moved to the area, originally from Montgomery County, and once having access to Bethesda Bagel, I am VERY glad to have found this place. I'll be back and am very excited to tell others! This is our FAVORITE breakfast sandwich place of all time! The fresh homemade bagels are amazing! My family loves the bagel breakfast sandwiches. My son, who orders bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagels every place he goes, will always compare to A Bagel &'s sandwich. He has yet to find another place that has one as tasty as here! Greatly needs work on customer service and their ordering service. Going into this building I was amazed by how many options they had. Once in you must go to the nice lady on the left and order what you want. Then after doing so you have to wait and proceed to the cashier and repeat your order. This wasn't the biggest deal but once I waited for my food there were so many issues that I began to see. While waiting there's not much organization to everything and everyone is scrambling to make your order. I finally receive part of my order and ask the lady behind the counter for the rest of my items I had purchased. She mentions how someone must have made a mistake and begins to gather my things. Right before she hands me my items she asks me if my bag, I was holding, held the bagels I had asked for while giving me a suspicious look. (Pretty much accusing for first not looking into a bag I was given. Secondly she looked as if I was trying to steal bagels from the place) honestly ruined the whole experience. Please reorganize your ordering station and ensure not to accuse someone of stealing when it was in fact the bagel shops error. read more

Hit up this bagel shop on our way into Assateague Island and it checked off all the boxes for what I look for in a quick pick- up breakfast spot. -In terms of COVID safety measures, they have sanitizer available, social distancing markers and clear visuals of where to order, pay and pick up your order. -Good variety of bagels to choose from. We got a plain for my toddler daughter, everything bagel and 7 grain (and made it sandwich style with bacon, sausage, egg and cheese). Everything was toasted just right, cooked well and neatly wrapped. -And customer service is friendly and quick!!! Without a doubt the bagels are amazing. A Bagel & is a staple in the Ocean Pines Community. The service could use some very easy tweeks to be able to keep up with the volume of customers. 1. Implement an ordering system. This is one of the reasons that there is a line out the door. 2. Train the staff on how to take an order and run the cash register. Lots of girls behind the counter that appear not to know what to do and there is a long line. 3. Invest in A Bagel and t-shirts. At least could tell who works there. Staff are wearing shirts from other restaurants. The counter staff lack training and the Fagers Island t- shirt makes her look like she went to the wrong place to work. Really want our local small businesses to be successful in Ocean Pines. Just a couple of improvements would make a big difference. read more

Wow, best breakfast sandwich ever. Sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Wow. This place is a MUST TRY. This place is like a well oiled machine. The ladies great you when you walk in and take your order. Then you see the staff of at least 10 people running around making food. My sandwich took less then 5 minutes on a Sunday morning. Nice and hot. The best part for me was the sausage patty. It was big enough to cover the entire bagel. I had sausage, egg and cheese on every single bite. I will give credit to the generous portion of everything spice on the everything bagels and the muffin was good but past that I would not return. Not worth the money. My friend who lives down here says it's her weekly breakfast spot and I understand why! Such a large selection of bagels with egg, salmon, meat, cream cheese flavors, etc. they also have good lunch options we didn't try. I got the Asiago bagel with chive cream cheese and it was the right amount of cream cheese that it wasn't overpowering. They have a "Make Your Own Ice Coffee Bar" which is nice and have lots of flavors--coconut, hazelnut, caramel, etc. We got hazelnut and it was a great choice. They have Boars deli for sandwiches, snacks, homemade pastries and desserts. Great inside seating and outdoor covered seating. Great spot! read more

While these are probably the best tasting bagels (particularly the everything bagel) near ocean City Maryland, unfortunately they have no clue how to toast a bagel. Today for breakfast my parents and I went here and ordered several bagels 3 of which were ordered well toasted. When they came out the bagels were soft and chewy with no crunch as you would expect from even a slightly toasted bagel yet alone a well toasted one. My mom took hers back up and asked for another one to be made and toasted correctly. The second attempt came out even less toasted then the first and the inside was so soft I could stab into with no pressure using a cheap plastic knife. So while for straight taste I wouldn't hesitate to go here, the fact that they can't toast a bagel drastically hurts their overall flavor and the experience. Until they can get these issues resolved maybe they need to focus a little more on the bagels and less on the "and". read more
