Nonetheless, I appreciated the freshness and moist texture of the breast meat. It almost taste as if they brine the meat before cooking it, except there was no saltiness. In contrast, however, the breading was a little too salty. Still, it was tasty, but not as herbaceous as KFC chicken. But the consistent portion size, flavor, and freshness, beats KFC. No complaints really, my wife and I both enjoyed our meal at the chicken shack, or I should say, from the chicken shack!

I just paid them a visit a week ago on a day the smoke was awful, and they still had a full parking lot! I had called in my order ahead of time for takeout and it didn't take more than 2 minutes to be served. I gave them my name and they went inside to get the 5 pieces of chicken and large Mountain Dew I'd ordered. It was around $22 plus a tip which in this economy isn't half bad! The chicken is plenty moist and thick, the batter lends its own flavor and texture, and once you add a little salt to the chicken it's a wonderful case of beauty in simplicity! I also love how you can choose all white cutlets, all dark cutlets, or a mix of the two (I always pick this option.) Even though I love the thigh strips, I do feel the need to break them up with the breast meat, it would be too much otherwise. Their house made tartar is top of the line as well! This is a place that's seen a lot of ownership changes, so congratulations to the current family for making their own mark on this iconic place, while also respecting the legacy :). I will be back!

We have eaten at Taco Time for upwards of 30 years and have taken notice when changes in the menu…read morewere made, the most positive change being the new taco sauce they began offering around 2022. But generally, the quality has digressed over time. Today was noteworthy-- the Chicken Chili Soup I ordered today amounted to chicken broth only with black beans and corn. There wasn't any chicken and the container was only half full. It was as if they forgot to include some of the ingredients. And the Chicken Soft Tacos lacked spice. With the advent of so many more new Mexican restaurants here in Wenatchee, Taco Time needs to stay in the race. They can't just play the "fresh ingredients" card any longer--they need to control quality better. 3-Stars says Taco Time is average, no longer something special.
