Went there when I was a teenager. Moved away for nearly 20 yrs. Then came back and it's just as good as I remember

Haven't been here for six months but wanted some good burgers & chili fries so we stopped here today despite the rain. Ordered 3 Papa burgers no cheese extra sauce, 2 chili fries no cheese & 2 root beers to go. When we got home our burgers were thrown together & barely had any lettuce but had pickles & a dab of papa sauce. The fries were loaded with cheese, guess the girl taking our order didn't understand we wanted No Cheese. We were very disappointed with our meal especially the fries because we could only eat the bottom without cheese. Our root beers were delicious & the restaurant was very clean. Do not waste your money on their food even though they have wonderful root beer. We won't be back! read more

This restaurant complex has a new owner who has cut back on sizes of ice cream, onion rings and some other things. Today. For example, I've got onion rings, seven onion rings at $3.79 which equals approximately $0.54 per onion ring. What a rip-off. The service was very good but the staff is only working with what they've been told. read more

Love this place always go out of my way to stop here. Great customer service food is always fresh and hot. Only worth the hour. Drive can't say enough good brings back good memories as a child. read more

Nice clean throwback A&W root beer shop. Interior is nice and clean with friendly staff and a lot of retro trying to go around. There is a game room for the kiddos along with a pizza restaurant and Chicago Fresh Sliced Subs restaurant. Nice little hidden spot just off the main road. read more

A&W has been a staple in this town for so many years. I remember coming in for a Root Beer Freeze as a kid and sliding away from my parents to play air hockey. The Burgers have great flavor, cheese curds are a deep fried heart attack! Yum! You won't regret a visit to this place! read more

I got takeout from here because I won a band competition at band camp ( Camp Whitewood). I got chicken tenders and the ranch was delightful and the fries were so good. So inevitably I thought the chicken would be just as good and it was honestly a disappointment. read more

I'm giving this place three stars for quick and friendly service. I'm being a bit generous here because I had a hair in my burger which made me loose my appetite. The Burger and fries were a bit too salty for my taste, over all before the hair was spotted it wasn't decent. The other people in our party said it was good but salty as well. It seems like a nice place to take your family too instead of a Burger King, it was reasonably priced we had three combo meals and a hotdog for just under $20. read more

Nothing impressive about this place at all. It seems like they know they are the only fast food place in a little town. This location serves great soft serve ice cream and the food is decent at best. I would compare the place to a Burger King, really nothing special here. Usually the place is pretty messy and there's only 1-3 employees max running the location. The prices are kind of on the high side as well. It's about 3.50 for cheese curds, 7.75 for a tender combo, and about 7.30 for a sandwich combo. All in all pretty pricey for a place that is comparable to a McDonald's. read more

Okay there are so many things wrong with this location, me and my wife ordered the mozzarella burger they never said it was a pizza burger, I.e. Little bit of grated cheese with marinara sauce. My wife ordered the combo , burger. Fries and root beer , my wife doesn't like fries so she substituted cheese curds. Now the burger was 3.89 the combo upgrade was 3.69 and the cheese curd substitution was 1.89! That makes her combo meal cost a total of $9.47 . Along with a twenty minute wait for food and they forgot the fries that came with my BBQ bacon burger I had to have my wife go ask for them since i am handicapped.this was my first trip to an a&w since the 70's and thus was very disappointing for fast food price wise and quality wise very very bad experience. read more

While my husband loves true root beer floats this place was a total miss! I ordered carry out and while the one float was good the other was frozen solid and not fresh root beer (think stale pop but with ice cream stuff that had a layer of ice frozen on it) - all of the burgers (4) between us and the kids had no flavor or taste at all! A regular hamburger a regular cheeseburger - awful...a melt burger salty and with canned mushrooms - the spicy burger the hubby got was a greasy mess. Will not be back. Gave it two stars as the staff was very nice - not their fault that the food is subpar and frozen. read more

My family and I went to this establishment to dine out with 3 burgers and a jug of root beer after we where done eating we noticed that the jug smelled like sulfer afterwards we had a horrible stomach ache all I'm saying is please cheoyour filters before you make the root beer but besides that the atmosphere and the food is amazing there's so many varieties to choose from there's a pizza place next door that's connected to a&w very cool place read more

In addition to a wide variety of tasty food options, there is a small game room attached to the dining area: air hockey, pacman, two driving games, a Terminator shooter game, a cowboy game and a machine to retrieve stuffed animals. The two times I've frequented to business, I have had a blast with my date. It's a drive from our place of residence so we make the trek for the food and post meal fun. The serving staff work quickly during peak times; typically 7-8:30pm. The food is always fresh and well put together; not just sloppily thrown on the serving tray. They are also very pleasant. During peak times, the turnover is rapid so don't expect to get a "clean" table unless the previous patrons wiped up after themselves. We had a few crumbs on our table. No big deal. One really can't go wrong with the food options. There are plenty. This last time I went, I tried the soft serve cone twist: vanilla and root beer. It blew my tastebuds. It was fantastic. Whatever is in the Papa Sauce...loved it. There is parking, but again watch the peak times. The game room is a fun place. It can get crowded during peak times. The air hockey table makes for a fun end to our date. We typically get a competitive game going that draws quite a bit of onlookers. Great place and worth the 30-45minute drive for us. read more

Slow, slower & slowest! 16 minutes for a burger, a chicken sandwich, small cheese curd, and onion ring. That's only from the time I put in my order. Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. So slow to make orders. They must have had to kill the cow and chicken. read more

this place makes me want to throw up. my chicken was absolutely horrible and tasted so freaking bad. i asked for it to be crispy and it was so nasty and soggy i will never ever be returning back to this restaurant and don't recommend this to anyone. it is way to over priced for the food to be so disgusting. even after the food tasting like butt my friends milkshake had a whole rock in it. i didn't know we made the milkshakes our on the gravel parking lot but i could be wrong. last i knew food should be made in a kitchen. read more

Food are delicious!! Better than Five Guys restaurants. My wife loves your root beer tap. I enjoyed my hamburger very much and there are many variety of meals to choose. Good food, but the atmosphere is really the highlight of this place. It's like traveling back in time to the 1950's; complete with juke box and I love lucy on TV. They serve root beer floats in frosted mugs, and there is a pizza joint attached if you don't want burgers and fries. I haven't tried the pizza so I can't comment on that. read more

My husband and I were out for a drive and decided to stop for a light lunch. I went in to get our food since my husband, a heart patient, is wary of going inside because of COVID-19. I went in with my mask on, but no other customers had masks. The place was too small for social distancing since there were a few people in line and several waiting for food. There were tables marked "closed", but if these were removed or moved somewhere else it would improve the waiting area. Beverages were self-service, and in order to get root beer, you had to pull on a tap. No hand sanitizer was seen-- how many others used the tap since it was cleaned? There were also dispensers with handles for use for condiments -- allowed with COVID rules? I didn't think I would be afraid of getting COVID in a fast-food place, but I was and still am! Finally, when we got our hot dogs, they were barely warm. We will not return to this restaurant! read more

I went on a Friday night and it was very busy. There was a line out the door but fortunately the line moved quick and we were waited on in no time. My friend decided to get a sub from the sub shop she thought it was delicious, it was comparable to jersey mikes. I chose the chicken strips and they were fresh, good quality chicken. Did not seem frozen. My only complaint is that it was a little busier than I would like it to be, but overall I enjoyed my meal. read more
