I came in with my fiancé at around 7:30pm on Friday night and Valeriaa was an absolute horror to order from. She told me they don't have Root Beer at A&W and told me i need diet, then when I placed my order for the float she discharged me and gave me two, when i asked to fix it she argued and slammed her hands on the receipt and said "LOOK." I asked for refund as nothing had been made yet, and she refused. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused. I then asked again for a refund and she disappeared and came back with more attitude, so I asked her why she was being so particularly rude to me then she handed me a wad of change and refused to let me order the correct drink. She also messed up my fiance's drink and gave him Pepsi when he paid extra for a lemonade. Came here at 10:30 am on a weekday and wanted a single cheeseburger meal and requested lettuce and onions during my order. Upon sitting down the party was just warm with no lettuce or tomato. MOD had stepped away and worker stated it doesn't come with the extras but I mentioned I ordered it that way when the Manager took my order. i was the only one in the restaurant and hence it was not busy. Their drive through is always as slow as molasses and their food is generally sub par. The only thing worth going for here is the root beer float which is always 5 stars. Been here several times, my wife likes the Coney Dog and I wanted a Root beer Float, we were in the middle of a heat wave. Went through the drive-thru, ordered the Coney Dog combo. I asked for an upgrade to large cheese curds and a large root beer float. My wife smacked me kindly to say "no onions." I did whilst I rubbed my shoulder. Got to the drive thru window, a nice older lady smiled our way and handed me the drink, I smiled back and accepted the drink. I noticed it didn't have the usual lid for a float. Opened it and no ice cream. I called out "Ma'am, I ordered a root beer float." A younger lady wearing the headset, the order taker, said "No, you ordered regular root beer," she seemed upset about something. I calmly said "large root beer float, why would I upgrade to regular root beer..." She said "...float is $2 more." I said "here's my card" and handed her the regular root beer. She walked away with the drink and I smiled at the older lady who I think didn't understood what transpired. I then noticed the headset lady coming out of a room inside the store...I thought to myself "did she just come out of the restroom." A few seconds later I saw her by the ice cream dispenser and dispensed ice cream into a large cup, presumably my float. She walked over the window and handed me the drink and my card. Quick and convenient drive through option considering the current COVID situation. I was craving a root beer float so instead of making my own at home, I dropped by here. I thought one could never mess up a root beer float, but I was wrong. The root beer to ice cream ratio was unfavorable. The ice cream filled about 75% of the cup, leaving not enough room for root beer. I was very thirsty at the time, so this was pretty upsetting. Be sure to ask for less ice cream if you're feeling extra thirsty. Or if you're more of an ice cream person, this is your place to get your moneys worth! read more

There was food scraps, crumbs, garbage, smears, and more everywhere, on both floors and tables. This particular A&W is by the far the worst. In overall speed and service. I went here on my lunch break from the new job as I had a hunger for A&W. There was only one person behind the counter. She was the cashier one moment and the next moment she was putting the food either on a tray (those who choose to eat there) or in a paper bag (to go customers). That was not the only thing wrong with this particular location. There were only a few employees back there besides the cashier. And they were all too slow. It's called fast food. Why take upwards of 10 minutes or more to prepare the food and get it out to the customer? Don't you care about the speed and service? Don't you care about the customer? Nostalgic root beer and oh so yummy papa burger. Not to many around and I grew up on their root beer. Growing up, it was walking distance, so I'd buy that frosty sweet root beer in gallon jugs and put in our freezer before dinner. So when I saw one....just had to pull into the drive thru and ponder at menu. Got the papa burger combo and it brought me to my school days. Burger was delicious, fries were perfect but the aroma, feel and taste of my root beer was what I yearned for that minute. It's been a while since I've been to this location. I stopped coming after they discontinued the papa burger deal and was excited to hear that it is back once again. I came in today expecting to get the usual only to handed my bag at the driver through and was bid farewell without my rootbeer. I had to remind the employee of the drink after showing my receipt. To make matters worst I was only given 1 despite getting the combo. I didn't really think much at the time given that the place was busy and they seem to be in a hurry to move people along. After arriving home I open the bag to discover that there was no extra fries nor a second burger. I was highly disappointed given how I used to come here on a weekly basis for their promo. It's been quite some time since I last had A&W. I decided to just stop by for the hell of it and try their Papa Burger and their Mini Corn Dogs. Well, the Papa Burger was okay. It was your standard classic double cheeseburger with the works. Not much to else to say about it. The Mini Corn Dogs though, well, they were just awesome! Why haven't I known about these before?? They're perfectly fried with a crispy batter and have that state fair taste to them when you dunk them in mustard and ketchup. And you can't leave A&W without having their in-house brewed Root Beer. This is not the same bottled and canned A&W Root Beer you get at the store. This Root Beer is creamier and not as carbonated so it has a smoother taste. I probably won't visit A&W so often as I'd like to. But if there was ever a reason for me to go back to A&W, it'll definitely be for their Root Beer and their Mini Corn Dogs!! read more

This review is based mostly on the A&W part of the location Cashier Marty...you would think a requirement to be a cashier is to learn and know how to do basic math right? Not at this location, I was overcharged by this guy and either he was trying to make up for an error he made maybe undercharging a previous customer, but he should NOT be dealing with other peoples money. They also screw up my order all the time and they really do take forever to get your food together. Also... a few months back my fiance was on a low carb diet and I was reading online you can get skinless, breadless chicken breasts from KFC and it's only got like 1 carb in it. So (and we went inside for this one because... well... you've met drive-thru workers) and here's how it went down: Me: "I want 6 skinless, breadless breasts." Girl: *looks at me like I'm speaking alien and gets the manager* Me: "I want 6 skinless, breadless breasts. It said on your website you had them?" Him: "Oh... we only have that for sandwiches..." Me: "Well... can we get the sandwiches sans bread/condiments?" Him: "Okay... yeah...for $3.45 each." (or some other ridiculous price for 1 piece of chicken) Me: "Sure, we'll get 6" (whatever, we wanted chicken and I figured I'd pack it for the next few days in his lunch) Him: "Oh... umm... we only have 2" Me: "Nevermind." *Proceeds to go to Carl's Jr for low carb burgers* This KFC/A&W is just really, really awkward on so many levels. Let me start with the fact that I think it's completely unfair to rate or review "fast food" as it's ... fast food. However, I think that I would be doing the Yelp community a disservice if I didn't review A&W. I've been driving by the KFC/A&W combo joint for well over a year or more, with less than a minimal desire to check them out. I don't eat fast food very often for several reasons, but the biggest is that it's not particularly healthy and generally doesn't taste good. Well this A&W sure lived up to every negative expectation that I had, and a whole lot more. I'd been craving a good burger for a while, and figured what the hell, here's an A&W. Over the years, many of my friends have raved about how great the old A&W drive-in restaurants used to be, and that it was an experience not to be missed. So with that in mind, I decided to give it a go... This was hands down the worst burger that I've every had. It had absolutely no flavor, what so ever. Moreover, it was more than obvious to me that the burger had been sitting around for sometime, and had just been micorwaved, as the bottom was blazing hot and the top was quite cold. Let's not even talk about how bad the faux fries were ...disgusting! Normally, A&W root beer is high on my list as being a good root beer, right up there with Barq's & Mug. Not even the root beer here tasted good. It has a very strange (not in a good way) after taste that litterally reminded me of root, as in tree root! Don't waste your time or money on this place! Despite this place having KFC I wasn't interested in having it at the time.We where just passing by and I had a certain crave at the time. I looked at the menu and thought to myself and decided on the Papa Burger w/cheese.It came with fries,but I decided to pass on the float and just got the root beer soda. The Papa Burger came with 2 juicy beef patties,cheese,tomato,onion and that special "papa sauce".The buns were nice and crispy also.The burger overall wasn't overcooked and tasted just fine.The fries were ok,nothing overall outstanding but edible. Artiving 15 minutes before closing, you can see them inside, counting change, wiping down, making themselves a snack, but they have closed the store to the public. I went in on the day of the special, buy 1 Papa burger combo and get 1 free. I expected the free one as advertised but did not get it. The line was long and I didn't want to make a scene or create drama for the staff. I let it go and wrote to the corporate office and got completely dissed by them. Maybe it's a good thing because the burger was completely dried out with a stale bun. The fries were about half done and very greasy. I will not go back for more punishment and crappy food.
