It's a bit of a trek from where we leave. The location is in a large strip mall in the deep south. Parking was a little difficult as there are a lot of shops. We managed to find a spot by the bank across from the restaurant. This restaurant layout is quite small with a few tables. You order and then go to your seat. We ordered 2 OG Cheeseburgers, Bacon Double Cheeseburger, High Priest, 2 fries, and a strawberry milkshake. Everything was good. I thought the High Priest could have used more secret sauce. Fries were great. Family ate everything up. While the food was good I'm not sure if we'd be back as it's quite far from where we are and there are lots of burger places in between. But it was worth trying at least once.

Depending on the day you go if it's mid morning, it's quiet or mid afternoon it's peaceful. But there is a problem and I have to address it that when you order onion rings, they should be hot and ready to go, when I got my onion rings, I drove away. I had to drive back. I had to go in and tell them it would be nice to receive fresh hot onion rings. Why am I telling you how to do your job? You should know how to do your job. You don't hand out onion rings and assume that I'm gonna be OK with cold greasy onion rings. Let me teach you how it is when you go through the drive-through, you tell the person that's listening for your order. You need to tell her or him that you want a fresh hot hamburger and fresh hot fries or fresh hot onion rings whatever the case may be because if you don't say anything, you're gonna get a cold hamburger, cold fries or a cold order of onion rings had enough of this. I don't think the people working there would want to eat cold fries, cold onion rings and a cold hamburger then why would you serve that to your customers?!

I went here today for a quick bite, I have been here before in the past…read more The restaurant is in good, clean order, the staff were very helpful, and pleasant. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, and was asked if Mayo, Lettuce and tomato was OK? I asked for no tomato and that was what I received. Chicken was crisp and still juicy , the by. was soft and fresh, iceberg lettuce was a bit more on the whiter side than green but still crunchy. There was a right amount if Mayo for the sandwich. My only complaint, and I am finding that this is getting to be an everywhere problem. This was not a $12.56 chicken burger, if you're going to serve ANY type of topping on a sandwich at least have enough to cover the bun it is sitting on! If this is the typical serving size, this is an $8 burger, tops. The burgers are (starting) $1 more than the chicken offering, with fries you are going to be slightly south of $20 for a meal. It is good food, but the cost knocks a couple of stars off my review.

Alert! Delicious donuts coming your way!…read more Check out the likes of these babies. My lovely friend and coworker Angie at Black Dog Ranch (check out her account for adorable dog photos) has a beautiful ranch south of the city and she led me to these donuts that are the talk of Black Diamond. Naturally I had to get my hands on some. Rules for ordering your Westwood Donuts: 1 They change up their flavours every week, so if a round appeals to you, jump on it! 2 You have to place your order on Wednesday before they sell out. Don't press the snooze on this. 3 There's only a short window on Saturday for pick-up (12-3PM on Saturdays). Once you've completed the steps above, you're on your way to donut heaven. RATING: 9/10 - Westwood: Donuts The dough is everything you want it to be--soft, fluffy and fresh. It makes a great base for the various donut creations. I had the pleasure of trying these flavours: Chocolate Fudge Filled: With rich chocolate custard and coated in cinnamon sugar. You can't go wrong here. Banana Cream Pie: This tasted exactly like it sounds. Fragrant banana custard with whip and bananas on top. If you did a blind taste test, it would be hard to differentiate this from the real pie. Nerds Glaze: Imagine a blue raspberry starburst. This one was sweet, tropical and sour. Lemon Glaze: Pound cake in donut form. I adored the natural lemon flavour! The Banana Cream Pie stole my heart, but they were all worth writing home about. I can't wait to have an excuse to try these glorious donuts again and check out Westwood's food and patio. Black Diamond here I come!
