From 2003 until now, Five Guys has expanded to almost 1,500 locations spanning the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. All the locations sell burgers, which use fresh ground beef. We went to Five Guys on 130 Ave SE, Calgary. It was our first time having food at this location. We always had Five Guys in downtown Vancouver before. Environment Five Guys on 130 Ave SE is a medium size of the restaurant. This location has the same styles as other locations - many chairs and tables inside the restaurant. They were all clean and organize. Since we arrived restaurant in the late afternoon, the restaurant was not busy at all. We can sit wherever we want to sit. Service The same as other locations, customers ordered all the food in the front and then found the table. The cashier was nice and friendly. Food We have ordered regular fries, cheeseburger, cheese hotdog, and a milkshake. All the food were well cooked. They all came out the kitchen early. The burger was very juicy. There were lots of topping on hotdog. Both burger and hotdog were tasty, but the meat was a little bit salty. The fries were seasoned with a large portion. Fries were my favorite. Prices We spent around $30 for the meal. It was a little bit expensive.

What can I say, 5 Guys Burgers and Fries has proven that they can do an AWESOME burger and Fries…read more You have it your way and I have NEVER been disappointed with eating at various 5 Guys Burgers and Fries around Calgary. The Shawnessy location is where I have eaten the most in the last 3 years. Place your order, munch some free peanuts, (obviously anyone with a peanut allergy needs to be careful, since peanut material can / will be on your table). Stools and booths are clean, but a few times I have requested a staff member to clean a table before I and my family sat down. (Clean up of meal is the customer, so use your own discretion). The Fries are really, really good, the Cajun seasoning is my favourite, I usually order regular fries and ask for a Cajun Seasoning (most of the family don't like Cajun flavour). You get EXTRA fries in the bag, it's a 5 Guys thing they are known for. Though I am gonna be truthful here what you get now is a TAD bit less than you used to get...... Now, you can quickly hit $40 just for two people, Grilled Cheese and Hot Dogs & drinks could be cheaper. The quality and taste of the food make up for the price. Again, to be honest, a $11 burger from 5 Guys Burger and Fries WILL NOT fill me up, so is it worth it? I'd rather go there and get an order of fries for a cheaper price. Still, good burger.

I went here today for a quick bite, I have been here before in the past…read more The restaurant is in good, clean order, the staff were very helpful, and pleasant. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, and was asked if Mayo, Lettuce and tomato was OK? I asked for no tomato and that was what I received. Chicken was crisp and still juicy , the by. was soft and fresh, iceberg lettuce was a bit more on the whiter side than green but still crunchy. There was a right amount if Mayo for the sandwich. My only complaint, and I am finding that this is getting to be an everywhere problem. This was not a $12.56 chicken burger, if you're going to serve ANY type of topping on a sandwich at least have enough to cover the bun it is sitting on! If this is the typical serving size, this is an $8 burger, tops. The burgers are (starting) $1 more than the chicken offering, with fries you are going to be slightly south of $20 for a meal. It is good food, but the cost knocks a couple of stars off my review.

Today was a very special day in our lives: my family and I officially became Canadian citizens!…read more Right after the oath of citizenship ceremony, we decided to celebrate with lunch at the Chick-fil-A on Macleod Trail, SW Calgary. We placed our order for a group of 5: 3 chicken sandwich meals, a chicken nugget meal and a salad. At the til, we also mentioned that we had just become Canadian citizens (probably looking obvious in our matching white outfits and little Canadian flags). The manager Rob, gave us a big smile, congratulated us and told us our meal was on the house today! We were absolutely floored by the kindness. The food was fantastic (those chicken sandwiches live up to the hype!), the restaurant was clean, and every team member we interacted with was genuinely warm and welcoming. This was our very first Chick-fil-A experience ever, and thanks to Rob and the whole crew, it was nothing short of magical. We left feeling even more proud and excited to call Canada home. Thank you, Chick-fil-A Calgary Macleod Trail, for making our citizenship day even more memorable. We'll be back, very soon, and with even bigger appetites! New Canadians (and now lifelong fans)

I will say as a vegan/vegetarian, this place has a wonderful selection of plant-based options on their menu. I got the beyond chicken sandwich, and also tried their organic veggie burger. I do wish the cheese was melted and the bun was toasted a bit more, but overall both were pretty great. Their milkshakes were lovely and the sweet potato fries were crispy and had a one of a kind mayo dip that was very spicy and flavorful! Service was quick and the workers were friendly and helpful, it's nestled in the corner of Southland at a very secluded spot, which I personally liked and gave it a wonderful vibe. A barely luke warm burger on a not so fresh bun. Pretty uninspiring when you have come to expect much more from your favourite burger chain. Usually the beef patty is hot, somewhat juicy and as such, seemingly more flavourful. On the plus side, lots of crisp lettuce. I'll put this down to being an oversight, momentary eyes off the ball, quality wise. It can happen. I previously, about a year ago, posted a more glowing review. On this visit I used a coupon from an A&W mailer. Service was prompt, indifferent. We enjoyed the fries and root beer this time, I'm sure the burger will be better next time too.
