My lovely friend and coworker Angie at Black Dog Ranch (check out her account for adorable dog photos) has a beautiful ranch south of the city and she led me to these donuts that are the talk of Black Diamond. Naturally I had to get my hands on some. Rules for ordering your Westwood Donuts: 1 They change up their flavours every week, so if a round appeals to you, jump on it! 2 You have to place your order on Wednesday before they sell out. Don't press the snooze on this. 3 There's only a short window on Saturday for pick-up (12-3PM on Saturdays). Once you've completed the steps above, you're on your way to donut heaven. RATING: 9/10 - Westwood: Donuts The dough is everything you want it to be--soft, fluffy and fresh. It makes a great base for the various donut creations. I had the pleasure of trying these flavours: Chocolate Fudge Filled: With rich chocolate custard and coated in cinnamon sugar. You can't go wrong here. Banana Cream Pie: This tasted exactly like it sounds. Fragrant banana custard with whip and bananas on top. If you did a blind taste test, it would be hard to differentiate this from the real pie. Nerds Glaze: Imagine a blue raspberry starburst. This one was sweet, tropical and sour. Lemon Glaze: Pound cake in donut form. I adored the natural lemon flavour! The Banana Cream Pie stole my heart, but they were all worth writing home about. I can't wait to have an excuse to try these glorious donuts again and check out Westwood's food and patio. Black Diamond here I come!

I had come to Big T's to get fried green tomatoes but this Big T's did not have them. So I ordered some ribs and asked for their signature bourbon sauce. They had their signature sauce in bottles but did not use it in the store. This was not normal and seemed a bit lazy to me. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and really wanted to make me happy which I appreciated. When I got the ribs they were moist and they gave me lots of extra sauce on the side. I appreciate giving me the extra sauce as I wanted it very saucy but BBQ tastes different cooked and raw. I wish they had cooked the extra sauce with the ribs. The Big T's across from the stadium has way more options but the last times that I ate there was quite dry. This Big T's is more moist but missing a lot of the menu. The choice is yours.

Food portions are huge as I had half rack of St Louis Style Ribs with original bbq sauce. Fried green tomatoes ok as was fries. Ribs were decent but I personal enjoy bbq sauce that has more juice than this one which taste more dry than I like. Pricing was very good and will give this place one more shot with the kids next time. Overall great value but no so sure about being a regular customer.

Hands-down best sandwich I've had in a long time. Had the Who Knew? with the daily special soup (mushroom barley). Only disappointment was my drink. Ordered a sangria lemonade but they were out, so asked for raspberry lemonade instead. It tasted more cherry and was heavy on the syrup. Daughter had the Close Cut with a Rick's salad for the side (small upcharge). The salad alone was hearty enough for a meal. Sandwich was good, but she said next time she'd order something she couldn't make at home. Decor is fun--and probably would have more meaning for us if we had seen The Last of Us. Definitely recommend a stop--but not if you're in a rush. Enjoy and savor!
