The Mozza burger was good despite it being late at night. perfect temperature and not old or sitting on a warming shelf. Service was kinda slow and the order taker was not very friendly. I am not a vegan, but I wanted to try A&W's beyond meat burger with a lettuce wrap. The burger itself was absolutely delicious and juicy. It tasted like a regular burger. They did add tad too much lettuce for my liking, but that was an easy fix. The service was friendly, just really slow. There was no one really monitoring the front counter. They were more focused on the drive-thru. I got my meal to go, but the inside of the restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. read more

A single.order..egg muffin and hashbrowns.. took 20 minutes with only 1 other order...I took my order home ( 5 minutes away) and of course it was wrong ( sausage instead of bacon). I took it back and they said we make you another..it was my original sandwhich with the sausage off and 2 mini bacon strips put on so the sandwhich was cold...I was handed my bag with " u should che k your order when you get it".. I said THATS YOUR @#$#@ JOB NOT MINE. This A&W ruined my out of town Hamilton Experience. I was visiting from London it was a stormy drive, I purchased food and as if there was a time limit for parking. The attendant said no limit the parking lot was empty also FYI. I left my car to run errands and came back to a ticket on my windshield. Parking enforcement officer assured me it was the A&W Attendant that call and complained. I been trying to contact the store manager about the grotesque display of authority this lack of customer service, assured I would never purchase from this location in future. This A&W is decent. The chain is a bit more expensive than its most comparable rival Wendy's. What I liked... 1. Friendly staff. 2. Quick service. 3. Hot food. What I didn't.. 1. Ever since they started becoming more healthy there taste has dropped. The burgers are dry and bland, the only flavor comes from there seasoning witch they seem to never use enough. There fries are bad, poutine is unaturally unhealthy in term of sodium content and the fries in them never seem to be fully cooked. They focus to much on beyond meat witch is just as bad for you as normal fast food burgers if not worse for you, just because it is not meat, doesnt mean it is good for you. read more

We like having breakfast at A&W, but this place was horrible, Dirtiest A&W that I've ever been.

My experience at this restaurant has been with the burgers and fries through the drive-thru. The food is consistently good and the fries are nicely done. They wait until the oil is hot before cooking the fries, meaning they are not soggy. I often order a lettuce wrap in lieu of bread. The lettuce is fresh and plentiful for the wrap. read more

I usually like the A&W restaurants. Good Burgers! But this particular location at 194 King W. is very unusual for an A&W. It's dingy, unclean, and unfriendly. I've been to this location only a few times over the years, to redeem my coupons. Each time I've gone in, the staff is VERY unlively (deadpan), rude and unfriendly (in all fairness, the customers seem to be lowlife in this bad location. This can demoralize anyone over time). Every time they've prepared a.meal, it's undercooked and cold. The tables have been unclean EVERYTIME (!). I find this hard to believe its a coincidence. I've stopped mentioning it to the staff because it does no good (I shouldn't have to). And is it me, or are the prices HIGHER in this location? Almost $5 for small onion rings?!.. I don't think so! Again.. This is a VERY unusual situation for an A&W restaurant! All the other ones I've been to in malls or stand-alone restaurants are usually bright, clean, and cheery! A&W should send an inspector to see what's going on here, or consider relocating this A&W to another area in the downtown-- because this place: the staff, the restaurant, and the patrons are rotten and lousy. read more
