A general contractor that I hired to remodel my house hired these guys. I'm not sure what they told them but Terry must have thought he could use my house for training purposes. Where do I start... the edge around the entire counter was never shaped or chiseled in anyway and you can see the line where the two slabs were glued together. They did happen to shave down the back slab against the window but they cut too far into the sides and left big visible lines into the two surrounding pieces; it looks like two strips of masking tape that doesn't go away. Further, when the existing tile was pulled, either Stoneworks or the general contractor installed a new piece of wood the granite would sit on. This eventually sank and now there is a gap between the slab the sink sits in and the slab that sits up a little higher behind the sink. Also, no one ever asked me if I wanted the sink to be on top of the granite or underneath it. Even though Terry was being paid by the contractor, I was the one paying the contractor; ultimately he should have been talking to me, the homeowner, especially if he expects to guarantee his work. read more
