Their crew arrived promptly every morning between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. They were professional, courteous, and paid close attention to every detail. Considering the amount of work involved, I was impressed that they completed the entire project in just 2 1/2 days. Their pricing was very competitive, and the quality of their workmanship exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Universal Painting & Coatings. I paid $5,300 to have my 830-square-foot condo painted, and the crew left paint splatters and spots…read morethroughout the property, including on the floors and countertops. I later hired a professional deep cleaner who confirmed that the paint was everywhere and said she could not get it off. When I asked the painter to return and clean up what his crew had left behind, he refused, blamed the problem on the condo being dirty before they arrived, and handed me a razor blade so I could scrape it off myself and quickly left--not even an apology. The crew initially had my permission to use the air conditioner. However, once my HOA notified me that it was leaking into my downstairs neighbor's unit, she asked the crew to turn it off. They reportedly refused to listen to her and would not help her contact me, potentially allowing further water damage to occur. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of cleanup and accountability afterward was unacceptable. I was left with the distinct impression that because my condo was only 830 square feet--and therefore not one of their larger, more profitable jobs--my concerns were not worth their time once they had been paid. After spending $5,300, I should not have been left hiring another professional to clean up their paint or scraping my own floors and countertops with a razor blade. I would not hire this company again.

We called and he came out right away. He was very knowledgeable, asked appropriate questions regarding what we wanted done. He gave us a bid that included some options including some repair to damaged wood, and painting the whole exterior. His price was great. One thing that impressed me was with the bid was a copy of his liability insurance! He is a licensed contractor. They were very accommodating working around our schedule as we had some plans that prevented us from starting right away. The communication was wonderful. Confirming the start date, the names of the workers coming when they would arrive etc. The workers were professional. They took care to mask off windows, used tarps or plastic to protect surfaces, and used a blower to clean off little flakes of paint off the roof. This is a family business that takes pride in their work and as a customer we benefited from this. The house looks great and I didn't have to climb on any ladder! Thank you.

Many of our neighbors have even said it's the most beautiful in the association after Humble Painting completed the job. My wife and I reached out to several painting contractors, but even before receiving all the estimates or completing our interviews, we had a strong sense that we wanted to work with Ricardo Sotelo Humble, the owner of Humble Painting. His company had painted a neighbor's home across the street, so we had already seen firsthand the quality of their work. Ricardo was incredibly easygoing, offered thoughtful and creative ideas, and even provided a visual preview of what our home could look like using the colors scheme we were considering; something we hadn't expected but truly appreciated. From the very beginning, we felt confident that he knew his craft and wasn't simply trying to sell us something. His team was professional, detail oriented, and maintained a clean workspace throughout the project. The crew showed up on time each day and completed the work on schedule. The final result exceeded our expectations. It truly feels like a work of art. While every experience may vary, if ours is any indication, you'll be in great hands. We highly recommend Humble Painting. They have absolutely earned our 5-star rating. Thank you, Ricardo and team! Mike and Dareen W.
