This lady was harassing my mother in law to get spa upgrade but never discussed the prices. She talked her into adding stuff and was confused on price everything. I had a guy he was chill I can't recall his name he explained prices very good I just added a detox and all was good. I soaked my feet and got a pedicure. Overall he did decent job my toe nails were not even but I think he was new.

Let me start by saying that I have natural nails. I am an IT Program Manager and type a lot, so I…read moreprefer to keep them short. I get regular manicures, so no gel, acrylic, dip, etc. I also typically bring my own polishes with me. I've been in Tampa for a/b 2 1/2 years now, and before finding The Spa by Folashadé, I'd tried anywhere from 8 - 10 different places, and I was always disappointed in something. Whether it was the service, the wait, the quality of work, cleanliness or quality of the location, etc...it was always something. I almost gave up, but then I found HER! I'd asked in a Tampa Facebook group for suggestions, and Thank the Lord for the person who recommended The Spa by Folashadé! Trust me when I say that I am super picky a/b the quality of work, customer service, overall cleanliness, and the maintenance of the health of my nails. From day one, she has impressed me and has never disappointed. She listens to her clients and will pivot and make adjustments as necessary. She cleans and sanitizes thoroughly between clients, and I've never seen one spec of dust or any type of build up anywhere! Additionally, she doesn't usually do nail designs on natural nails, but I asked her to, and she used her creative skills to come up with something cute, even though it was out of her comfort zone. I can't stress enough how much those little things mean in a service oriented field. I've posted several pics, but they don't do justice at all b/c of lighting. I especially love the "experience" of The Spa by Folashadé. It is a true one on one, luxurious, "spa like" experience, so I am ok paying premium prices for that. Even the music she plays is a whole vibe! For as long as I reside in the Tampa Bay Area, I will never go anywhere else. U have to experience it for yourself, and you'll totally understand why!

The massage chairs were comfortable, and my technician was friendly. I brought my own polish, so I can't speak to their polish selection. Like most nail salons these days, they have different levels of pedicures, so for more money you can add more pampering, but I just went with the basic pedicure. I liked the young woman who did my pedicure, however, she nicked me pretty badly when she was cutting my big toe cuticle, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Accidents happen, I totally get that, but my big toe was sore all weekend, which was really a drag. That being said - I would definitely come back here because this first visit showed them to be a lot better option than many of the other nail salons in this part of town.

First time I went she got the color all wrong. She even admitted it but didn't offer to change it. I ended up coming back within their 3 day color changing policy to get to color changed. However I didn't stop there. 3 days later a nail broke. Had to return to get that fixed. I decided to give this place one more shot. What a mistake that was. Within 3 hours after getting my fill I had a nail break. Next morning I was washing dishes and another nail broke. Now I'm on day 3 of a fresh set of nails and I have a 3rd nail broken..... mind you this is builder gel. I paid $60 for the fill. Tipped $20. $80 total for me to have 3 broken nails within 3 days of getting them. I'm absolutely in shock. What a horrible experience.
