3.5 Stars. This place has a lot of pros: Clean, large, bright. I went on a Friday afternoon, and someone could give me a pedicure right away. The massage chairs were comfortable, and my technician was friendly. I brought my own polish, so I can't speak to their polish selection. Like most nail salons these days, they have different levels of pedicures, so for more money you can add more pampering, but I just went with the basic pedicure. I liked the young woman who did my pedicure, however, she nicked me pretty badly when she was cutting my big toe cuticle, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Accidents happen, I totally get that, but my big toe was sore all weekend, which was really a drag. That being said - I would definitely come back here because this first visit showed them to be a lot better option than many of the other nail salons in this part of town. read more

I am a licensed nail technician and I work in this plaza as well I went down to this salon to get my nails soaked off simply because it takes me too long to do them myself Started off fine , the staff was friendly throughout my experience however i couldn't help to notice many things while I was sitting there that were unsanitary they used already used drill bits and files on me and clients around me , and they did not know how to do a proper soak off at all I tried recommending to scrape the acrylic off my nail but they did not do so , I left with acrylic still all over my nails worst soak off I have ever gotten. read more

I decided to check out Solar Nails & Spa instead of going to my normal nail salon since it was closer and I needed some relaxation. I was taken for a gel pedicure right away by the owner. She did a mediocre job on my pedicure as she struggled to file my nails evenly, because she was talking on her Bluetooth the entire time. This experience was not relaxing and very annoying. Heads up the colors are not labeled correctly! read more

10/10 ALWAYS! I forgot to ask for his name, but the younger guy with a tattoo on his forearm has done my nails the past 2 times and they always turn out perfect. Solar nails is the only place I go to now because no other place does nails as amazingly as they do! Please don't waste your time trying the other nail salons in the temple terrace/ Tampa area because solar is the best of the best!! read more

No stars is what I wanted to put, but you had to choose a star. This wouldn't be an issue, but they weren't that friendly but that's OK. However, the manicure came out looking OK. But, by the time I left my fingers were killing me. They had to remove gel from MY fingernails, not fake nails. She kept slipping and cutting the sides of my nails and the cuticles. I actually had to pull my hand away a few times. WTH!!! I said no manicure thank goodness. But a few times she was supposedly trying to get some hanging skin off and actually took more skin off. I didn't notice until we were into it, that I do not think they sanitize their utensils (but I could be wrong). However, at the end of the manicure she stuck the utensils back into the little package they came out of and put them in her desk. That afternoon I could barely use my fingers to touch or pickup anything because they were so sore. Every one of my nails were swollen around the nail bed and my thumb has chunks missing under and around the nail. Than night I soaked them in warm salt water and an old antibiotic that I emptied into the water. I did that for three days now. They are very dry but feel much better, NOT better. If I had done nothing they might have gotten infected. Needless to say, I will not go back there and I will NOT tell anyone to go there Solar Nails 14455 N. I have been going to this nail salon for about 2 years now, and I am a sucker for some nail art. Let me tell y'all something... no matter what design I come in there wanting to get on my nails, the nail techs at Solar Nail always deliver! I haven't been let down yet, which is why I keep coming back! Aside from the talented nail techs and great service they provide the salon is beautiful, it always smells great in there and it's kept very clean. My go to place in the Tampa area.. they are always welcoming and show personal care for their returning customers. Family owned and you feel the passion and quality through the work and scheduling. Never really a wait time and usually will take a "last" minute appointment/walk-in. The pedicure chairs are new and very clean along with the rest of the salon. They do use pedi covers and clean directly after every customer. I was convinced to use the dip gel that offers 8-13 different minerals and vitamins, that actually promotes healthy nails without stripping anything harmful away from your rest period between nails. Prices are always reasonable. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area for a great pampering session. read more

The best nail salon I've ever been to! Service was amazing. Everyone was nice and accommodating. Thai did my pedicure and it was amazing. He paid attention to detail, listened to what I wanted and made good conversation. He even recommended a great Vietnamese restaurant which was great! Tina did my manicure, pictured, and it was the best I've had. She was also attentive and paid great attention to detail. I had broken two nails previously and she added two tips and made sure they were thing and natural looking. This nail place was everything I ever wanted and I'll never go anywhere else! read more

I came into this nail spa one evening and requested a pedicure and manicure. When I first walked in I noticed how sanitary and clean the establishment was. It was a big salon it had pretty chandeliers threw out into separate sides one half of the room was for pedicures and the other half manicure tables. They also have private rooms toward the back for waxing services. Im so glad a friend had recommended I come here and try this and I'm so glad I listened. I opted for the International Pedicure for $55, and yes definitely a pricer one but so worth it. First thing each basin is lined with a plastic liner for hygiene purposes then the water is brought to the right temperature. This experience included a excellent leg and foot massage, hot stone, hot towel wrap, scrub, paraffin booties, etc. I truly enjoyed my time here and made the most of it by adding a gel manicure to my services. While I was in the massage chair I was offered wine in which I declined and choose a bottled water instead. I highly recommend the experience to anyone looking to just relax and unwind while giving themselves a little pamper time. read more

Tina does a really beautiful job! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did it perfectly! Totally trust her to do any design I find on Pinterest. The place is extremely clean, with nice ventilation and is relaxing. That take their time with each client and don't make you feel rushed at all. I've been going to Pink and White Nail Salon since I got here. Had a great Nail Tech named Peter, however after he left, the Salon never took care of me the right way. I was on my way to Pink and White Nails, but I wanted to find somewhere new and get it done the right way. I looked on Yelp and found this place. As soon as I walked in, the place was absolutely gorgeous! I was immediately brought to the owner, Don, who is a very nice individual. He did an awesome job on my nails and was very courteous. I wanted to get my eyebrows done, and I was afraid that they were going to be too busy. However they took me right away and did an awesome job as well. Well, I must say, that I was with my nail tech in New York for over 25 years. Then thinking I had the awesome nail tech Peter, I was absolutely wrong. Now I've got a new place, a new nail tech, and a place I can relax! If you're looking for a new place to go to, this is it! They treat you so well and do such a good job they have now have a client for life. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even if it's far away, it's worth the drive! read more

I have been going to Solar for a while and my gel and acrylic usually lasts about 5 weeks. Typically its a 5 star place. I went in 2 weeks ago and the place looked different (remodel) and I did not recognize any of the staff. I decided to go ahead with my normal. Last week, my nail color started peeling and now they are lifting. I noticed while they were doing them, it was not a similar process and it was super rushed. I am not sure if the salon changed owners/ management. I really hope they haven't. I want to go back and see if it was just 1 bad experience. Does anyone know if they changed and if so, did they move to a different spot? Thank you read more

My sister and I have been coming here for about a year now consistently every 2-3 weeks and Thai, Tina, and the rest of their team do an amazing job every time. The staff is very friendly and will always remember returning customers and make the experience homey and relaxing. I get SNS dip every time I go and my nails always look clean and classy and hold up until they grow out. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the Carrollwood area! The best pedicures! I love how they're are so many selections for pedicures. The Indonesian is my favorite which includes a coconut milk bath and paraffin wax for only $35! You can't find that price anywhere else in Tampa. The lemon drop is also amazing when I have a little more time to relax. The dip pedicures are also top knotch. Valerie did my dip powder manicure and it was disaster. Almost $60 dollar manicure with tip and the nails were uneven, she cut too short and the shape was all over the place. Save your money go to k nails down the street where it's cheaper and they do a better job. I want my money back! read more

This place is awesome. They have a bunch of different pedicure options, may I recommend "The Margarita." (Let's just say, in addition hot stones, wax and peppermint mint masque - 12 minute massage!) The nail options are just as great, may I recommend checking out the ombre colors. The eyebrow waxing is a must as well. If you don't go for the actual services, at least go meet the staff: most amazing people you'll meet. read more

I went a couple weeks ago to get dip nails and a pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure was very nice and did a good job. The woman who did my nails, on the other hand, was not. First, she chopped my nails with the drill that they use for smoothing out acrylics (even though I said I only wanted them filed a bit). She didn't even speak to me until she cut my cuticle with the same drill. Said it was because my old polish was lifting. The next two times she cut my cuticles, she said it was because my skin is too thin? I get my nails done like clockwork every two weeks, and my "thin skin" has never been issue. She finished off the appointment by interrogating me about where I usually get my nails done and trying to have me bring my mom next time I get my nails done there. Yeah, no thanks. read more

My daughter had a appointment Saturday at 4pm with Tina the owner. We waited 45 minutes for her. Her brother prepped her nails to take off gel polish. Than Tina came back and asked my daughter if she could take a gentleman for his nails. She reluctantly said ok We looked over and she was at the pedicure station This was totally unprofessional. Never again. I called the salon to ask about a particular service and made sure to clarify what I was asking for to avoid confusion. They said they offered it, I get there and they start a completely different process. The person I spoke to over the phone comes over and says they actually don't offer what I asked for. So, I pretty much settle for the service I didn't want but even then, the person assigned to me aggressively filed and pushed into my nail bed to the point I kept pulling my hand back. The polish job is crappy; you can see spots where less polish was applied. The shaping of the nails is the worst; I stopped him twice to tell him how to shape my nails based on a picture HE SHOWED ME. read more

On my first visit I had my eyebrows cleaned up and had henna applied to darken the sparse areas. The henna lasted about five days for me. I'm certain it was to no fault of the artist but due to my acne medication that I apply daily. At the conclusion of the service I was offered aloe for my skin which was greatly. They also have an online system which allows you to schedule and appointment to minimize wait times. The vibe at the salon is quiet and clean.

During my last visit, I noticed that she started doing facials and I knew that I had to get one. That day was today, and the facial was amazing!!! Definitely the best facial I have ever had. She wasnt rushed and was very thorough. She told me everything she put on my face before it was applied. It was well over an hour and my face still feels wonderful almost 7 hours after the fact. This will be my new go to for facials for sure!

Her location is very tricky to find - and google maps lead me astray. I actually had to call her to find the place. You have to turn into the Arbors at Carrollwood development (look for the flags at the entrance), circle a roundabout, and then her location is in the shops area, next to a laundromat. It is not marked very well, so look for the hanging sign. Her shop is just one room, so I waited outside while she finished with her current client. I love that she was exactly on time, even though she had back-to-back appointments. Ashley was awesome! Friendly, cheerful, and chatty, she made my waxing time fly by, with a minimal amount of pain. Her shop was bright and clean, and appeared to be very sanitary. The experience was just so perfect, I have already scheduled my next appointment in 4 weeks.

What I enjoy more was that she asked if she could do a few more things to clean up my eyebrows. To me that's important to make them look extra nice. I'm having a wedding soon so this was a big deal for me to look my BEST For our special day! She also have cute eyelash brushes to take as a gift with other items for purchase. Cute shop! Very personal able for her client and comfortable ! I will most definitely return to Ashley as a customer for life! Keep up the good work!

I then grew them out, went for my second time and the owners right hand lady was in there and she did a great job and then I went today and there were two ladies I've never seen before, and the lady completely butchered my eyebrows one is thinner than the other one is shorter than the other, and she tried to say at the end of when I got out of the chair that one of my eyebrows was thinner than the other, which that's not the case one of my eyebrows is longer than the other, but you can barely tell and the owner would always just leaves a little bit of extra hair on the end. I'm so upset my birthday is next week. My eyebrows looks terrible.
