On my first visit I had my eyebrows cleaned up and had henna applied to darken the sparse areas. The henna lasted about five days for me. I'm certain it was to no fault of the artist but due to my acne medication that I apply daily. At the conclusion of the service I was offered aloe for my skin which was greatly. I have been coming here for years to get my eyebrows threaded. Ruby is the BEST and I dont trust anyone else with my brows. During my last visit, I noticed that she started doing facials and I knew that I had to get one. That day was today, and the facial was amazing!!! Definitely the best facial I have ever had. She wasnt rushed and was very thorough. She told me everything she put on my face before it was applied. It was well over an hour and my face still feels wonderful almost 7 hours after the fact. 2 stars for easy of appointment setting and check in process. Staff was friendly also. Daughter wanted her lashes tinted and lifted. Looked for places on Yelp and found this 4.8 star average establishment and reviews all looked great. Booked the appointment online and we got a text the day of with the check in link once we arrived. The place is clean and 3 couches available for seating. It's a salon so once you're up you go sit in a salon chair for them to complete the service you're there for. My daughter's service was in the back given it was the tinting and lift. Arrived and checked in. Quick to take my daughter back for her services. Took about an hour. Paid $90 for lash lift and tint. Daughter came out and when we got in the car shared her disappointment. Her lashes looked no different from when we arrived!! I've never had this service so not sure the expectations but I would think that you could tell a significant difference with a lift, no? I mean she will get more out of just using mascara which is much cheaper. I'm disappointed given her disappointment especially given I paid $90 plus tip! Frustrating. read more

Received a lash lift and tint service, result was excellent. My lashes were lifted and have lasted me 3 weeks so far. The only downside was that the employee left my service to tend to other customers, and went back and forth between me and 2 other women the entire time. I've been going to Ruby for over 5 years as she's was my favorite threader at the shop she used to work. I was sad to see that she was gone and was in despair until a week ago when I ride down Sheldon and saw the "Rubyz Threading Studio" sign! I had to be sure it was her so I came in this past Saturday. I'm so glad my favorite eyebrow threader has opened her own threading studio! Rubyz is a brand new shop taking the place of the old Jem's natural food store located in the greater Westchase/Citrus Park area. I can pop over after a trip to Costco. The shop is much larger than most threading studios, very clean, has modern furnishings and plenty of comfortable seating in the waiting area. Ruby is one of the best threaders I've been to. She listens to what you are looking for and is very precise. Every time someone else jacks up my eyebrows she does what she can to fix them and consults on how we can get them back to where I want I want them. She's also very caring and remembers her customers. She always asks how my job and kids are doing as well as any of health issues that we've discussed! She's a genuinely caring person and I trust her with my brows. Eyebrows are so important as they frame the face. I don't even want to go anywhere if my eyebrows are jacked. I have been going to the same woman for eyebrow threading for three years now (my longest relationship). To my dismay, about four months ago, she up and left. She quit, changed her number and headed to the west coast - a tale as old as time. Since then, I have been grieving the loss of this relationship while looking for a rebound. I had to move on. That's when I found Ruby's Yelp reviews. I figured that if anything, I can trust the squad of Yelpers to lead me in the right direction. What's the worst that could happen? She would remove my one and only redeeming quality from my face? I had to take a risk. Ruby's studio is clean and serene, you know what I mean? I walked in and sat in the comfortable waiting area until it was my turn. When I met Ruby, I knew I made the right choice. She had a very calming presence and was very soft spoken. She gently asked me what I wanted, and told me to have a seat. This was it. I couldn't turn back now. I've had my eyebrows threaded for three years, and the process was painful each time. Ruby must have the hands of an angel, because I felt no pain. Nothing. She was very thorough and took more time on me and my eyebrows than my other lady ever had! Got my eyebrows threaded here. I had to sign up for the waitlist as a walk in, but it was very easy. She asked if my name was Kenza as I came in, (and there is sanitizer at the door!) sat me down, took my temp and had not only a mask but a clear face shield. Definitely made me feel safe. She was very detailed, took her time and wasn't very painful. She made sure I loved my brows before I left, and she was very sweet and soothing. I've been here twice for a Brazilian wax. Now let me start off with their ways are a bit unconventional from the usual. Typically, hard wax is used for Brazilian but at Rubyz they use soft wax and small wax strips. And, they finish you off with threading. So I say this to inform consumers that it'll be a bit more painful than a standard Brazilian BUT I rated them 5 stars because they make sure every last bit of hair is up. Like...EVERY LAST HAIR. She is sooo thorough which I truly appreciate cuz I feel like the hard wax leaves behind some fuzz other places don't attempt to clean up so I'm never SUPER satisfied.
