    I came this facility once before. The first time first service is the second time the lady he gave me thread burn. Called Ruby to express my disappointment, I was disregarded no offer of any kind to fix this situation.

    2 stars for easy of appointment setting and check in process. Staff was friendly also. Daughter wanted her lashes tinted and lifted. Looked for places on Yelp and found this 4.8 star average establishment and reviews all looked great. Booked the appointment online and we got a text the day of with the check in link once we arrived. The place is clean and 3 couches available for seating. It's a salon so once you're up you go sit in a salon chair for them to complete the service you're there for. My daughter's service was in the back given it was the tinting and lift. Arrived and checked in. Quick to take my daughter back for her services. Took about an hour. Paid $90 for lash lift and tint. Daughter came out and when we got in the car shared her disappointment. Her lashes looked no different from when we arrived!! I've never had this service so not sure the expectations but I would think that you could tell a significant difference with a lift, no? I mean she will get more out of just using mascara which is much cheaper. I'm disappointed given her disappointment especially given I paid $90 plus tip! Frustrating.

    Needed a new eyebrow threader as my old one closed. Found Rubyz on Google and so glad I did!! Made an appointment online and walked right into a chair. Ruby was amazing! She was very gentle and precise- spending time on my brows to make sure every hair was perfect. The salon smells clean and fresh and the background music was so relaxing. Thank you Ruby - I wi be back with friends!

    Ruby does AMAZING work. I used to come here all the time but now it seems as though the secrets out because they are ALWAYS packed now. Which is a good thing, I'm so happy this business is thriving and I try to get in whenever I can. Try to make an appt if you can or join the waitlist online because the line can get pretty hectic.

    I've been going to Ruby for over 5 years as she's was my favorite threader at the shop she used to work. I was sad to see that she was gone and was in despair until a week ago when I ride down Sheldon and saw the "Rubyz Threading Studio" sign! I had to be sure it was her so I came in this past Saturday. I'm so glad my favorite eyebrow threader has opened her own threading studio! Rubyz is a brand new shop taking the place of the old Jem's natural food store located in the greater Westchase/Citrus Park area. I can pop over after a trip to Costco. The shop is much larger than most threading studios, very clean, has modern furnishings and plenty of comfortable seating in the waiting area. Ruby is one of the best threaders I've been to. She listens to what you are looking for and is very precise. Every time someone else jacks up my eyebrows she does what she can to fix them and consults on how we can get them back to where I want I want them. She's also very caring and remembers her customers. She always asks how my job and kids are doing as well as any of health issues that we've discussed! She's a genuinely caring person and I trust her with my brows. Eyebrows are so important as they frame the face. I don't even want to go anywhere if my eyebrows are jacked. I'd rather have good eyebrows than makeup. Ruby always gets the job done perfectly and I highly recommend her.

I figured I'd call back the following day and speak with the manager, Jen, as it wasn't anything urgent. I called first thing in the morning and Jen answered. Question number one was about the waitlist. I submitted a request to be put on a waitlist through their website on 4/23/2026 for a two-hour massage on 4/25/2026 but, apparently, it wasn't showing up on their end (maybe an issue with their website?). When she was about to add me to the waitlist, she told me they had a 90-minute opening. I went ahead and accepted that. On to issue number two regarding the Refer a Friend offering on their website. This is where the unprofessionalism and disrespectfulness began. I have never been to Essentials, so my wife was going to refer me to take advantage of their offering (it's only a $5 credit to each of us). Unfortunately, their website refused to allow her to login (another reason to question whether there's an issue with their website - you'll understand more in a minute). I began trying to ask Jen if she was aware of any issues with their website sending password resets to Gmail accounts. However, as I was saying "are you aware of any issues..." she immediately cut me off, seemingly made an assumption of what I was about to ask, and began telling me they weren't having any website issues. Once she finished speaking, I explained I wasn't asking if their website was having issues, that I was actually trying to ask if she was aware of any issues with password resets going specifically to Gmail accounts (maybe it's a Google thing - in which case we could offer to use a different email provider to complete the process). She said she wasn't aware of any issues like that. Then, I began telling her I believe my wife had a profile for their website but we weren't able to login to it and the password reset requests were not coming to my wife's email (nor were they showing up in the spam folder - here's where I'm really beginning to question issues with their website). Once again, as soon as the word "wife" came out of my mouth, she was quick to cut me off and make an assumption, again. She began telling me that my wife wouldn't be able to refer me since she had never been there before. My wife had been there before. I believe she may have been confused because of the profile issue on their website (maybe thinking my wife was trying to create a profile as a first-time customer), which is ok. Some confusion like that isn't a big deal. What's not ok is the constant assumptions and cutting people off. I think somewhere in there she cut me off one more time, too. After she cut me off the last time, I let her finish talking and asked her to cancel my appointment for the following day, that she'd cut me off numerous times and that I'd pass on their service. She had the audacity to respond by saying she wouldn't want my service if I was going to talk to her like that anyway. I had to check my calendar to see if it was still 4/1 because that was hilarious. I don't know if it was coffee or what (it was about 9:15 AM), but she just needed to slow down, take a breath, and let the customer finish speaking. It would've made the conversation go so much smoother and she wouldn't have come off so rude and disrespectful.

Since we were 11 a.m. I had a busy morning and rushed out without coffee. I asked if they had coffee and they do, but it's powder from a package. Therefore, it is already sweetened with creamer and sugar. It was a little too sweet for me, so next time I know I need to bring my coffee. I really enjoy the decor of the place, it has a lot of glitter (which I love) and tons of greys and blue. They really like this dog training show and play it on the TV. It's a random thing to notice, but I miss when they played the home improvement shows. However, since I was there with my sister we were busy chatting instead. Their no frills pedicure (which is still great) is $33, which I think is a great deal. I feel like my feet were pampered and I have a new color that stays on pretty long. Overall I really like this place and I'll keep coming back for pedicures. If you have an appointment they are pretty on the ball about making sure they see you on time.

When I arrived, there was only one other client in the place. The salon is bright, clean, and cheery, with gorgeous chandeliers throughout. One side is the nail salon, and the other side is the spa side. Partitions were set up at each nail station to separate client from technician, and everyone wore a mask. Hannah got right to work and she did an excellent job. She was very friendly and chatty, which I appreciate since essentially getting your nails done is boring. When I didn't love the color I chose, she quickly came up with suggestions, and my color was swapped in no time. I love that they use sealed, sterilized implements, so I didn't have to worry about the instruments being clean and safe. The only negative about this salon is that it is much more expensive than I'm used to paying. A gel manicure, with tip, and with specialty chrome accent nails that cost extra, is usually around $36-$38 at my regular place. The cost here, with tip, doing the same exact thing, was $59, though fortunately the first visit was $10 off with Yelp Check in. So - did I feel that it was a $20 better manicure than I usually get? Nope, not really, although I did enjoy myself, and I'm happy with how my nails came out.

There was no option anywhere in the booking system to apply a gift card as a payment method, and there was also no comments section to explain the situation. I assumed it wouldn't be an issue and that the payment could simply be adjusted on the day of the appointment. Two hours before my scheduled massage I was asked if I could reschedule. I was happy to accommodate and didn't mind the change. On the day of the appointment, my therapist was friendly. However, during my prenatal massage she provided a lot of unsolicited advice throughout the session, which made it difficult to fully relax at a time in pregnancy when relaxation is especially important. Still, I was willing to overlook that part of the experience. The real issue happened at checkout. I was told I could not use my gift card for the service because the appointment had been marked as "prepaid." When I explained that their online booking system doesn't provide any option to apply a gift card, there was no willingness to adjust the payment or offer any kind of accommodation. Situations like this raise concerns about poor booking systems, lack of customer flexibility, and business practices that ultimately leave customers stuck with gift cards they cannot use as expected. Customer service and long-term client relationships don't seem to be a priority here. Unfortunately, this experience ensured that I won't be returning and the gift card meant to bring in a new customer ended up doing the opposite.

This is completely different from what was advertised. When I pointed this out (in front of two other clients), there was no apology or explanation offered. This feels like false advertising / clickbait, and it was very disappointing -- especially from a brand with multiple offices. Patients should be able to trust the information in brochures and online promotions, not find out that "prices are decided in-office." I left without booking because I did not feel respected or treated honestly. I hope Arviv takes this feedback seriously and practices transparent, consistent pricing going forward.
