This company lies about interest rates they change them whenever they want . They refused original documentation. I bought a car from here and on my way home the check engine light came on and I found out the transmission needed repairs along with the engine . They charged me to fix this even though I was under warranty . They refuse to speak in person and avoid communication. They lie about the "aag capitol bank" saying it's a real bank but there's only one person to communicate with and refuse to provide contracts . DO NOT TRIST THESE PEOPLE . There are plenty of car dealerships that are honest and will provide documentation and follow up with good customer service . They give different amounts owed and when asked why the amount has changed they lie and make up some excuse . I've owned several cars and this has been my worst experience . Save yourself the headache and find another dealer Services Transmission, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission repair read more

George replaced my brakes once and assisted in selling my Acura after the car's transmission broke. I would certainly recommend George's services and will be using him for my new car. Straight forward, honest, and helpful. Thanks! read more

I was very pleased to find Charlie of A&G auto. Unfortunately, It is very difficult for women to find trustworthy auto mechanics. Luckily, Charlie and his team are honest, polite, patient, and work with integrity and I am extremely grateful for that. I will definitely be going back if/when I have any further car servicing needs and feel confident sending friends/family. read more

I've had two cars serviced by Charlie's shop over the past several years. Before that, I brought my cars to several other shops in LA, hoping for service that was reliable, affordable, and honest - all of them didn't meet the high standard that Charlie has set. He's a friendly and communicative person with very fair prices, and he's never tried to sell me on anything I didn't need. This is the place to go if you need your car handled in a professional and timely manner. Thanks for all your help, Charlie! read more

I'm not sure where to start but wow... Charlie and his guys did a phenomenal job on my Acura! It turned out to be a blessing to have them work on my car. They really went above and beyond! I was so excited to get my car back looking good as new! They matched my paint to a perfect 10/10! I'm really greatful for their hard work. I HIGHLY recommend anyone with any car issue to contact A&G auto and you will be as happy as can be with their work! Thank you guys so much. read more

George is a Very Humble Knowledgeable Legit person. From the moment we arrived until we were able to pick up the vehicle, the communication was well. He repaired the issues and for a good price (unlike other mechanic places where they charge WAY TOO MUCH). Def will continue going back here for anything needed to our vehicles. *Elle and WC read more

In my experience these guys are honest and not looking to up-sell you. The first time I went, they underbid the next-highest body shop by about a thousand dollars. My next visit they reattached both my front and back bumpers for like sixty bucks, whereas other places would definitely have tried to convince me to replace them both. Highly recommended! read more

Buying a car here was our biggest mistake!!! We bought a 2007 Lexus IS 250 here last October who was supposed to be in quote " Looks and drives great. In excellent condition. Everything works as it should." First of all I pay my taxes straight to the dealer who seem to not have reported it to the DMV because they didn't let me register the car days later without paying sales taxes a second time. Took me 3 weeks and many texts and phone calls to get my double payed sales taxes back. 3.5 weeks after buying that car that was supposedly in EXCELLENT condition 3 different engine lights came on one of them was the catalytic converter having to be replaced!!! Kidding me much thanks a lot! Ok ever since the car was 5 times only for codes alone in the shop and also the brakes were down to 2mm!!!!! when we bought it and that replacement isn't even counted in the 5 times we took the car to the shop. Save yourself the trouble don't buy here! We really tried to look past it but the breaking point is reached!!!! read more

The servicemen were super helpful when I came limping in fresh off of the freeway with nooooooo spare tire. I mean really? I pride myself on being prepared for anything. Sheesh. They told me exactly what went wrong as if I wasn't kicking my self already, and they checked all of my other tires to make sure I wouldn't fall in hand to the same fate the following day. They were literally done in 15 mins. I happened to walk to the corner and grab a couple tacos. When I was finished my car was waiting at the gate. I'm super pleased. read more

Charlie is great. Went in for a check up on my car, knowing I would potentially need to overhaul some things (breaks, belts etc) and couldn't be happier with the service. Charlie takes his time and is thorough (though by no means slow). He explains every issue in a way that is clear, and lays out the potential costs in a way that makes you understand exactly what you're getting for everything you're paying. His pricing is more than fair. When I picked up my car he showed me the parts that were exchanged and explained what it was that made them faulty. This was especially helpful and just a much more personal experience at the mechanic than I'm used to. I certainly know that I'll be going back to A&G Auto for any future issues. read more

Charlie has been working on a few cars of mine and friends as well over the years. He's friendly, very good at troubleshooting and really is fair with his prices. Thanks to places like these, I'm always rest assured my car is up to speed. A+ read more

After calling numerous auto shops to see if they do after market modifications on BMW'S all said no except for this place. I had ordered an angel eye kit for my BMW and they did an absolutely great job .Not only was the owner friendly but he was very welcoming. The staff here are all professional and the mechanic who worked on my car was a genius. I definitely recommend this auto shop. I really appreciate the business. Satisfied customer! read more

My check engine light came on my 2008 Mazda3 about a week ago, I was pretty surprised and equally confused because I take exceptional care of my car and it is still relatively new. Every mechanic that I spoke with was going to charge me $100 just to figure out the problem, A&G quoted a lot less when I called so that is why I went. I was really nervous when I first pulled up, I am new to Los Angeles, and had never been to that part of town. Mike, one of the mechanics at A&G walked up to my car and showed me where to park and listened to what the problem with my car was. He remembered that I called earlier and was really attentive to the history of my car. He showed me the computer when he plugged it in, and told me that it was probably just the gas cap, he reset the light, and told me to drive around, if the light comes on, come back and then they will work on it, if it doesn't, then have a good day. He didn't charge me like anyone else would have! My check engine light isn't on so way to go for being an honest and friendly mechanic! I will definitely go here for all of my car repair. read more

I must say living in LA it's so HARD to find an HONEST auto shop especially when I drive a BMW. But A & G Auto has been very professional, timely, honest with the price and most of all genuine human beings. I got my brakes & a new tire for such a GREAT deal. Thank you A & G auto. I recommend them 100%. read more

I had a great experience with A&G Auto. Their customer service is on point. They were so helpful with my transmission failure and even took in my car to diagnose it during their closed hours. I can't thank them enough for getting speedy quotes for parts and for just being helpful, trustworthy and awesome. Thanks guys :) One happy customer read more

Charlie was very friendly and knowledgeable. the service was quick and the pricing was very fair. The waiting area was clean, and on a side note, so was the bathroom! How many auto shop bathrooms have you been to that looked like mechanics used them as well? read more

Charlie was so kind and helpful when he installed a hitch on my car. I had been thinking about bolting on the hitch myself to save money, but eventually I decided to take it to a professional mechanic and I'm so glad I did. Charlie put the hitch on my car very quickly and even helped assemble my hitch-mount bike rack. He took extra time to mount the rack to my car and explain how he had assembled it and how it worked. Truly above and beyond service! The hitch and bike rack have been perfect and I'm so grateful I found A & G Auto. read more

Awesome service that was quick and simple. If I have any auto needs I will come back for sure

I went to A&G Auto in February for a full tune-up. There wasn't anything specifically "wrong" with my car, it's just older and has a lot of miles (it's a 2001 Subaru Forester). After I dropped it off, they called and told me my driver's side axle needed to be replaced. I don't know much about cars, but I figured since they had high reviews I could trust their judgement. Everything ended up costing $805.99 (an amount that I was NOT prepared to pay). Cut to me a few months later, stranded at a gas station waiting for a tow truck. My car had been making a little noise when I was turning, but it didn't seem serious and I don't have a lot of money for mechanics. Then one night I turned my car on and it sounded and felt like I was dragging something underneath it and if I tried to turn it made this horrible grinding/screeching noise. It didn't sound or feel safe to drive. Turns out whoever replaced my axle didn't tighten it all the way, causing all the parts to rub together and damage to my front wheel bearing, front hub, hub seal, and front rotor (I took it to Legit Automotive, recommended to me by Caliber Collision). It cost me $564.33 to fix. I went back to A&G with both receipts and all of the damaged parts to try to get some sort of compensation. I wasn't really expecting anything, and as I knew, the man working there was rude and condescending. He told me that the parts only had a three month warranty and there was nothing he could do because I didn't call him. (I didn't call them because they already screwed me once--they're going to do it again) Long story short, they took advantage of me because I look like a young girl who doesn't know anything about cars and I ended up spending an unnecessary $1,370.32 on a car that is worth probably around $3,000 total. Bad service, bad people. read more

can't tell you how pleased I am with Charlie and this shop. Needed a new 12 volt battery installed and registered in my BMW i3 and they completed the job in a snap. Professional and great job. Very very nice guy to deal with. Do yourself a favor and get your car stuff done here. read more

Great service! Within 30 seconds of meeting Charlie I felt at ease and was happy that my car was in his hands. Easy, kind and quick. I'll definitely be returning to him in the future. Thank you! read more

I took both of my cars to this place because it was recommended by a friend. At first I thought it was great until my car brakes started squealing--only one month after I had gotten both front and rear brakes replaced. When I took the car back, one of the mechanics told me that the brake rotars need to be fixed--why the heck did he not tell me that when he replaced both brake pads a month ago??? Another time, I had the transmission fluid flushed. It cost $130 at A&G but my husband took his car to Jiffy Lube and got the same job done for $99. read more

Charlie is awesome. I take my car here for all repairs. Always get a great job done for a fair price.

Charlie has taken consistent good care of my vehicle since I switched to here as my primary mechanic. He is honest, fairly priced, and respectful to customers. You can tell he cares a lot about his business. Thanks, A&G! read more

Charlie is the only trustworthy, competent, plus affordable mechanic I've found in LA. I've gone through at least 4 in the last 3 years and I was getting sick and tired of throwing my money around, fixing problems that didn't need fixing. Then I went to Charlie and he finally got down to the bottom of the it. He even managed to do a few free favors. My car no longer stalls and it runs smoothly for the first time in 3 years. read more

Charlie had my car up & running in less than 5 hours. He only charged for the work I requested and called promptly with an accurate estimate. On top of replacing my spark plugs, attached wiring, gas filter and ball gasket cover, he also noticed that my side mirror was dangling from my car (stupid fence around my driveway!) and reattached it for no extra charge. He also replaced a fuse for my cigarette lighter (yay iPod in the car again!) for no extra charge. He explained exactly how he fixed everything and showed me how to make minor repairs myself so I didn't have to run to him for every little problem. My car is running so nicely now, but if anything were to go awry, I'd go back to Charlie in a heartbeat. read more

Came here to get wheels and tires mounted onto my car. Awesome, clean, fast service. Thanks Charlie and A&G Auto!

I went here on accident actually. I got a flat tire, put on a spare and was planning on going to my usual guys in Burbank on the weekend. Two days later my spare blows out (well pretty much deflates) thanks to the lovely pockmark riddled streets of Los Angeles. I had to get somewhere close, and fast, and A&G Auto it was. They were super efficient and affordable, and friendly. No hassle, no weird reproving commentary I've seen time and time again. The guy even put air in my flimsy excuse for a spare tire "just in case." I was done in less than 20 minutes. read more

Kudos to A&G for turning down work. I bought a trailer hitch on line and scheduled an install with A&G. Charlie called me and told me that the hitch would not fit my car, even though Amazon and the manufacturer told me it would. I cancelled the order and bought everything through UHaul, and am having them install it. I really needed this hitch to work as we are moving furniture to New Mexico, and our schedule it tight. If Charlie had not called me personally, the whole project would have blown up and been very bad for my family. Thank you A&G. If I can send business your way, I will. You are the good guys. Much appreciated. read more

This the best auto repair place I've ever visited, and unfortunately I've visited a lot. They are fast, friendly, honest, kind, reasonably-priced and great at their jobs. He's got a wonderful demeanor that makes the whole experience easy and even, dare I say, pleasant. read more

Absolutely the greatest place to go! A friend had been taking his car there for almost 2 decades and I ended up buying a car from Charlie ... got it under Blue Book - tax, title out the door ... Charlie took care of everything & the only thing I have done other than maintenance is replace a tire coming up on 2 years. So now my car is there for regular maintenance and like my friend I am recommending other friends. You can't miss here and definitely found a place that does great work, you can trust and has great prices. What else are you always looking for in a repair shop? read more

I have been dealing with Charlie and A & G for many years and find them to be very good. Prices are always very fair, repairs are competent, and above all they are extremely honest. They have gone out of their way to be accommodating on numerous occasions throughout the years in a variety of circumstances. No mechanic is perfect, and there will always be customers that are unhappy about issues that arise after their initial repair; A&G has always been very good about following up and completely honest about making things right. read more

After passing on numerous mechanics who attempted to take advantage of me and overcharge for simple fixes, I was lucky enough to find Charlie at A&G. He was very upfront about the price to change my battery and offered great advice. I was in and out of there in no time! I recommend giving him a call to discuss your vehicle's needs - he's an honest and straightforward man that won't give you the runaround, which is tough to find in this industry. I'll definitely be returning! read more
