This company lies about interest rates they change them whenever they want . They refused original documentation. I bought a car from here and on my way home the check engine light came on and I found out the transmission needed repairs along with the engine . They charged me to fix this even though I was under warranty . They refuse to speak in person and avoid communication. They lie about the "aag capitol bank" saying it's a real bank but there's only one person to communicate with and refuse to provide contracts . DO NOT TRIST THESE PEOPLE . There are plenty of car dealerships that are honest and will provide documentation and follow up with good customer service . They give different amounts owed and when asked why the amount has changed they lie and make up some excuse . I've owned several cars and this has been my worst experience . In my experience these guys are honest and not looking to up-sell you. The first time I went, they underbid the next-highest body shop by about a thousand dollars. Buying a car here was our biggest mistake!!! We bought a 2007 Lexus IS 250 here last October who was supposed to be in quote " Looks and drives great. In excellent condition. Everything works as it should." First of all I pay my taxes straight to the dealer who seem to not have reported it to the DMV because they didn't let me register the car days later without paying sales taxes a second time. Took me 3 weeks and many texts and phone calls to get my double payed sales taxes back. 3.5 weeks after buying that car that was supposedly in EXCELLENT condition 3 different engine lights came on one of them was the catalytic converter having to be replaced!!! Kidding me much thanks a lot! Ok ever since the car was 5 times only for codes alone in the shop and also the brakes were down to 2mm!!!!! when we bought it and that replacement isn't even counted in the 5 times we took the car to the shop. The servicemen were super helpful when I came limping in fresh off of the freeway with nooooooo spare tire. I mean really? I pride myself on being prepared for anything. Sheesh. They told me exactly what went wrong as if I wasn't kicking my self already, and they checked all of my other tires to make sure I wouldn't fall in hand to the same fate the following day. They were literally done in 15 mins. I happened to walk to the corner and grab a couple tacos. When I was finished my car was waiting at the gate. I'm super pleased. read more

Charlie is great. Went in for a check up on my car, knowing I would potentially need to overhaul some things (breaks, belts etc) and couldn't be happier with the service. Charlie takes his time and is thorough (though by no means slow). He explains every issue in a way that is clear, and lays out the potential costs in a way that makes you understand exactly what you're getting for everything you're paying. His pricing is more than fair. When I picked up my car he showed me the parts that were exchanged and explained what it was that made them faulty. My check engine light came on my 2008 Mazda3 about a week ago, I was pretty surprised and equally confused because I take exceptional care of my car and it is still relatively new. Every mechanic that I spoke with was going to charge me $100 just to figure out the problem, A&G quoted a lot less when I called so that is why I went. I was really nervous when I first pulled up, I am new to Los Angeles, and had never been to that part of town. Mike, one of the mechanics at A&G walked up to my car and showed me where to park and listened to what the problem with my car was. He remembered that I called earlier and was really attentive to the history of my car. He showed me the computer when he plugged it in, and told me that it was probably just the gas cap, he reset the light, and told me to drive around, if the light comes on, come back and then they will work on it, if it doesn't, then have a good day. He didn't charge me like anyone else would have! My check engine light isn't on so way to go for being an honest and friendly mechanic! I will definitely go here for all of my car repair. read more

I went to A&G Auto in February for a full tune-up. There wasn't anything specifically "wrong" with my car, it's just older and has a lot of miles (it's a 2001 Subaru Forester). After I dropped it off, they called and told me my driver's side axle needed to be replaced. I don't know much about cars, but I figured since they had high reviews I could trust their judgement. Everything ended up costing $805.99 (an amount that I was NOT prepared to pay). Cut to me a few months later, stranded at a gas station waiting for a tow truck. My car had been making a little noise when I was turning, but it didn't seem serious and I don't have a lot of money for mechanics. Then one night I turned my car on and it sounded and felt like I was dragging something underneath it and if I tried to turn it made this horrible grinding/screeching noise. It didn't sound or feel safe to drive. Turns out whoever replaced my axle didn't tighten it all the way, causing all the parts to rub together and damage to my front wheel bearing, front hub, hub seal, and front rotor (I took it to Legit Automotive, recommended to me by Caliber Collision). It cost me $564.33 to fix. I went back to A&G with both receipts and all of the damaged parts to try to get some sort of compensation. I wasn't really expecting anything, and as I knew, the man working there was rude and condescending. He told me that the parts only had a three month warranty and there was nothing he could do because I didn't call him. (I didn't call them because they already screwed me once--they're going to do it again) Long story short, they took advantage of me because I look like a young girl who doesn't know anything about cars and I ended up spending an unnecessary $1,370.32 on a car that is worth probably around $3,000 total. I took both of my cars to this place because it was recommended by a friend. At first I thought it was great until my car brakes started squealing--only one month after I had gotten both front and rear brakes replaced. When I took the car back, one of the mechanics told me that the brake rotars need to be fixed--why the heck did he not tell me that when he replaced both brake pads a month ago??? Another time, I had the transmission fluid flushed. It cost $130 at A&G but my husband took his car to Jiffy Lube and got the same job done for $99. read more

Charlie had my car up & running in less than 5 hours. He only charged for the work I requested and called promptly with an accurate estimate. On top of replacing my spark plugs, attached wiring, gas filter and ball gasket cover, he also noticed that my side mirror was dangling from my car (stupid fence around my driveway!) and reattached it for no extra charge. He also replaced a fuse for my cigarette lighter (yay iPod in the car again!) for no extra charge. He explained exactly how he fixed everything and showed me how to make minor repairs myself so I didn't have to run to him for every little problem. Charlie called me and told me that the hitch would not fit my car, even though Amazon and the manufacturer told me it would.
