Worst shop in town. Thief and poor workmanship, they are lucky they haven't been sued for negligence. Buyer beware!

We called ahead to see if they had a KTM SX-50 Factory Edition in stock and were really excited…read morewhen they confirmed they did. We completed the paperwork online, and a few days later made the long drive out to Santa Barbara (we're not locals). We arrived close to closing time, but the staff was still incredibly welcoming and helpful. They didn't rush us at all and even took the time to fully inspect the bike with us before letting us take it home. I don't usually have the best experiences at dealerships, but this one was genuinely a pleasant surprise. The whole process felt smooth, straightforward, and honestly stress-free--which is rare in my experience.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wheels in Motion of Santa Barbara. The issue wasn't…read moreabout the money--it was about integrity. I purchased a 2024 KTM 1290 Adventure R with the understanding that it included a 15% discount on the Tech Pack and heated grips. When I inspected the bike before taking delivery, I immediately noticed there were no heated grips installed. I asked Erik, my salesman, where they were, and he claimed he didn't remember us ever discussing them. After my test ride, Erik told me, "Let's load it up," and said he'd speak with his manager. When I asked again about the heated grips, he shook my hand and told me, "We'll ship them to you." I asked for something in writing, and he assured me to come inside because they'd take care of it. About 30 minutes later, he came back and completely changed his story, saying they never had that conversation and there was nothing he could do. I then spoke with Steve, the sales manager. He told me he could usually tell when his salespeople weren't being truthful and assured me he would make it right. He said he would contact Clawson Honda in Fresno to have heated grips installed and gave me his word that he'd handle it the next day. A few days later, I called Steve for an update. He told me he needed to speak with Carl, the general manager, and that Carl would call me the following day. That call never came. About a week later, I contacted Carl myself. He asked what it would take to make things right, and I explained that I simply wanted the heated grips that both Erik and Steve had already promised me. About 30 minutes later, Carl called back and said that "based on the facts," there was nothing they could do. The heated grips cost around $200. Instead of honoring the commitments made by both the salesperson and sales manager, the dealership chose to lose a customer over a relatively small expense. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. I wasn't upset that the grips weren't installed--I was disappointed that three different levels of management reassured me they would make it right, only to backtrack on their promises. If integrity and standing behind your word matter to you, I would think carefully before doing business with Wheels in Motion Santa Barbara.
