The space is welcoming and I really enjoy coming here. She was my waxer for the first Brazilian I ever got and I still go to her for how she makes the session feel!

The specialist I had seemed inexperienced, micro-aggressive, and overly personal for someone I had just met. I booked a Brazilian, and the first thing she asked was, "When's the last time you shaved?" From the start, I expressed discomfort, and she followed that by asking if it was because my period was coming soon, which felt inappropriate. Throughout the service, I felt she was touching areas incorrectly compared to other specialists I've had in the past. When the service was finished, there was still visible hair, and she acted as if she didn't notice it. When I pointed it out, she asked if I wanted to lie back down and said she didn't want to hurt me, which I declined. During the B-strip portion, she told me to roll toward the wall and open a butt cheek. I was taken aback by this and expressed my discomfort. At one point, she also burned me with hot wax and did not respond with any sense of urgency. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing, especially given how positive my past visits have been at this location. While the specialist was polite, it was clear she was distracted. The one star is for the very professional and kind women at the front desk.

I am going to share my experience of attempting to purchase. The Beauty Facials, which are $185, I…read morescheduled two appointments for the same day. One was canceled at 6:30am and another at 7:30. Both 4 hours before the appointment. I asked to reschedule due to the last-minute cancelation, but she never responded. One reservation was for someone who is on Yelp Elite, and the other person is heading back to the East Coast on Jan 2nd. Also, the refund of the two $25 deposits would take 5-7 business days. I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company and got the money back immediately. Moral of the story is eventhough you schedule your appointment window, pay for the deposits and put in requests to take time off from work, you're still at the mercy of the business owner and when she decides to work.

About an hour before the first appointment, I got a message that the masseuse was sick and we needed to reschedule. I felt that was very unprofessional, but I still decided to leave it as that. Then an hour later, my friend gets the same message. It seemed pretty odd that she didn't message us at the same time but basically we both felt like our appointments were replaced, or she forgot to close that slot and cancelled our appointments because she may have had plans. Even after all that, we still decided to see if we could do another day. The lady messaged us back saying if she feels better, she will reach out to us to set another appointment. Well, we never heard back. This was something that we were both looking forward to and for whatever reason, other than what was communicated, we weren't able to enjoy our Christmas gifts.

I'm so happy to have chosen this salon because I'm obsessed with my nails! I chose a very simple, natural color to have every day and Sophia delivered. She was very careful with the nail drill and when I expressed that it felt hot at one point, she was more cautious afterwards. Cuticle removal was also meticulous and not once was I cut. The gel polish was applied evenly and there were no bubbles or unevenness which I appreciate--being picky with my nails. The salon itself was very clean and spacious, with many spa chairs for pedicures and manicure tables. I paid a total of $51 ($40 for gel mani, $10 soak off--with service, and $6 tip but 10% off when you pay cash) which is quite reasonable compared to other places anywhere in the bay. I will definitely be rebooking with Sophia and recommend her to anyone just looking for a great gel mani.

So a basic pedi was $53 without tip. So with tip you're looking at close to $60. For polish. Honestly, for that price you can get gel and probably a tip included at other salons. Their prices are $13 - 20 higher than other comparable salons, I don't mind paying extra for a specialty/ premium pedi but this is not the case . I'm not sure what justifies this high price, but I will not be coming back. *edit after business response : high sanitation practices should be standard and not considered a luxury. The prices are still higher than other salons.*
