I booked an appointment for nano brows and paid a deposit, but ended up needing to cancel. I notified Vanessa the very next day -- and my appointment was still 3 weeks away (and she stated someone else would love to take my spot) -- yet she refused to refund the deposit, citing her non-refundable policy. What I found her pricing was excessive: $635 for nano brows. I've since booked with another highly reputable artist for $399, but was told by her that reputable artists would never charge that price, which simply isn't true. While I understand wanting to create demand and value for your work, there should be a line of reason, especially when many other experienced professionals offer excellent results at more reasonable rates. Overall, my experience left me feeling disappointed, and I would encourage others to be fully aware of the deposit policy and to compare pricing before booking. read more

Well, my original plan was really get my eyebrows done. I supposed to book an appointment for microblading by Vanessa when I saw a "permanent jewelry" service. Out of curiosity, I searched about it and even watched videos of it from youtube. When curiosity turns to want, I right away booked it instead of microblading. I searched for 2 years for the perfect microblading artist. I was nervous and scared to get something I didn't like. I have small and thin-ish brows. I found Studio V on Instagram (@studiov_beauty) and I immediately loved her work, but I waited. I waited for about 6 months before I made an appt because I was scared of the possible pain. I'm no stranger to microblading and it was time for a refresh, only I wasn't overall impressed with my prior eyebrow artist. After a little research, I stumbled upon Vanessa. We chatted back and forth about my options as I am super oily and I have psoriasis that pops up in my eyebrows at times. We set up my consultation, which went very well and she instilled confidence in me to book the microblading appt with her. She worked around my fun schedule and even added me onto a day that she was already booked for (thanks so much again!!!) so that I could be well healed prior to my upcoming trip to Maui. The appt went very well. She spent a great deal of time with assessing how she was going to blade my brows in. The process itself is very slightly painful but nothing to complain about and she applies a topical anesthetic prior to the procedure. I stumbled upon Vanessa's Instagram page after seeing a previous coworker's IG story and amazing eyebrows. I loved what I saw and went for a consultation and then made an appointment. She is very good at what she does, so she has a waiting list for appointments. Do not put off making an appointment! My consultation was in July and final appointment in mid December. You know you've found a good one with that type of waiting list but I knew it would be wort the wait! I was very nervous about the process because I didn't want anything "overdone" or not me. Vanessa is great with listening to what you want and works with your bone structure and facial features for the perfect look! There are many different options when it comes to microblading and shading and she's very helpful in figuring out the look you want! She is such a friendly person and very professional. She gives you detailed instructions on what to do and not to do weeks prior to your appointment which is very helpful for the healing process when the time comes! Everything is very clean and she even gives you a take home kit with detailed instructions for after-care. The entire process, to me, was relaxed and there was minimal "pain." She uses a numbing cream during the process and I honestly didn't feel much. Getting my eyebrows threaded actually causes me more pain. As far as after-care, I followed her instructions and did not have any peeling, itching, or redness (a little initially the first day). She follows up with an appointment after 6-8 weeks of healing to make sure you are happy with the final result. I'm very happy with my current results and have already had so many compliments. First off, It had been quite a while since my initial appointments, well over a year, and my brows were still keeping their shape. Faded? Yes. I take on a lot of sun and fun in the lake. Still looked like brows? Yes!! Take it from someone who has almost no brows at all...that's a MAJOR WIN! Second, I was very impressed that Vanessa has continued to refine her craft in brows, as well as learned new techniques in other areas of beautification that I had no idea existed in a non-surgical way(LIPS) Third, she also does old/bad BROW TATTOO REMOVAL!!!
