I have been getting my lashes done every month for the past 8 years and this was the most anxiety inducing lash appointment I have ever had. I recently moved to the area and needed a new technician, after reading the great reviews for Sina I decided to book an appointment. It started off fine, although the phone kept ringing and Sina kept answering, that doesn't bother me so much as I used to live in NYC and places there tend to be loud. What was horrible was the constant pulling on my lashes throughout the process and as the appointment went on it got worse and worse until she literally RIPPED off the tape from my under eyes ripping off lashes with it. I have been seeing Sina for my Lashes for almost 9 years. Compared to others out there she is one of THE best. I don't wear makeup so lash extensions are perfect for me, Sina's last me anywhere from 4-7 weeks (depending on the occasional crying or makeup use, :) ). Anyone who wears a ton of eye makeup will get less wear. I will always see my Sina. Her and her husband are great shop owners. Sina is the sweetest most professional esthetician ever! She truly loves what she does and is always learning new methods /procedures and getting top of the line products. This line of work is her passion and it shows in how careful and meticulous she is in her work. She takes her time and everything is soooo peaceful that you'll fall right to sleep. I went to Sina based on the Yelp reviews. That she was very nice, sweet and the salon itself was quiet and soothing. Wow, complete opposite! She called me into her room without even saying hello or introducing herself. That in itself made it awkward. She seemed like she was upset and was giving off very bad vibes towards me. She used regular tape to hold down my lashes on and top and bottom and layered it over and over. When she went to take them off after I was done, she didn't take them slowly and it hurt! Afterwards I asked how much and she said 180! I told her your sign says 150 and she yes but yours are dramatic. I have never paid so much for a full set of lashes with someone so rude and cold. I didn't even get a thank you or good bye. It was the most awkward service I have ever had. As far as everyone saying it's "soothing", sina and the lady that was doing pedicures on the other end of the tiny salon were speaking in their language the whole time. I have been going to Sina for ever 12 years no. She was the owner of Sina's nails and spa in Oakley but SOLD that business a bit over a year ago. She now opened another smaller salon just up the street. Her main focus is eyelashes which I've gotten done with her and her work is bomb! I've been to a few places to get my eyelashes done and some places time you (that's crazy) and others actually give u a number of eye lashes they're gonna use (what if I need more than someone else?) anyhow, everyone is over priced and the lashes don't stay on for long because mine are thin and short. Well, I decided to give Sina a try and I've been going to her for about 2 months now and I will never go anywhere else. Her technique is diff from others. When I first called to get pricing, I was told that mink lashes were $120, which is what I paid the first time I went. When I went in for a new set a few months later, I was shocked when Sina's husband charged me $150 at the payment kiosk. The first time I got mink lashes, they were full and curly. All of the other times since they did no look mink so I am almost convinced that I was paying for mink lashes but got synthetic ones (the difference is very obvious!) The most recent time I went, lots of lashes starting falling off after two days. I called Sina and she said she was out of town. At no point did she ask if I wanted to make an appointment or come back in so that she could redo them (and I was a bit embarrassed to ask). I just started feeling like the money was more important than me being a happy customer. I will not be returning. read more

I seriously LOVE Sina. I've been going to her for about 3 years for eyebrow waxing since she was at her old salon, and she's the only one that does them how I like them. Today I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and I had some acrylics from a different salon but I had broke one nail and I had asked her if she could fix the one and fill the rest. Today was the first time I've ever had her do my nails I used to just go to her for waxing but boy was I wrong for not going to her for nails this whole time. She is Very precise when filing your nails down and getting them to look PERFECT. She did an amazing job and made my nails the most perfect they've ever been. Seriously, not kidding or exaggerating.
