We had a scenario with the septic backing up. Obviously, that's not a "We can get you on the books in two weeks" type of incident. I searched Yelp and called American (I figured anyone that uses a poop emoji for their business, must have a sense of humor, at least). The woman who answered the phone was very polite and friendly. She said 'Wally' is the expert and asked him a few questions. Took down my information and said he would call back within a couple of hours to tell me when they could come out. When no one called back by 5pm I emailed them just to make sure they had the right information. Nothing. 24-hours later, still no call from 'Wally' or anyone else. Maybe the poop emoji was a sign they don't take their business seriously? I've lost a day addressing a serious problem and now we're headed into the weekend. We have been using this company for the past couple years to service the septic tank. This review is based on the most recent appointment. There was a sewage backup on all the toilets/shower/tubs at our house on a Monday night. We called the next day and Walley was able to fit us into the schedule on the same day. Mike was the technician who came to rescue- he was knowledgeable, professional and had a sense of humor. He was efficient and kept everything neat after opening the septic tank and cleaning the filter. Luckily, our nightmare stopped within 24 hours! We will continue working with this company. read more

Mike came out to fix my outflow baffle. It could have cost more but he came up with a cheaper solution. From the first phone call, to the quick response time to the service and clean-up, these guys are by far better than anyone I have ever used in the past. I will never use a different septic service company again...better prices, more experience...and honestly...you could tell that Mike LOVED his job. People like that take pride in their work and really perform. WOW!.... What a GREAT Experience! I was selling a home and had pressure from the potential buyer to identify the septic and assure proper working condition ASAP! ... I first called a company in Goodyear and talked to their representative, Kailey. She seemed very knowledgeable and I could tell that she knew what she was talking about! The problem was, that her company could not do my inspection for 2 weeks, so unfortunately that would not work for me. I then tried a highly rated (Yelp) company in Phoenix, but their representative did not seem educated in the process and I could tell that she was unsure of herself... I could not justify using them primarily based upon that 5 minute phone interview (too bad!) THEN, I called A-American (found on Yelp) and got ahold of WALLY WITHAM! He was TERRIFIC!... VERY knowledgeable, VERY Professional, and Understood my sense of urgency... He agreed to do my inspection the SAME DAY! I got my report the next morning and Wally even contacted my Realtor and I a few times for follow-up questions. There is nothing scarier than a septic back up and the fear of what's to come next! AAmerican Septic was very responsive and sent someone the same day to evaluate our concerns. No upsells or taking advantage of our lack of knowledge on septic systems, the gentleman who came out cleaned the filter, coached my husband on unplugging the main pipe causing the problem and gave us a time frame for maintenance to the system in order to avoid future problems. Worst decision I made in my life was hiring this company. They first over bid the job and over charged. My accountant caught the discrepancy on the books, upon discovering this I brought it to All American staff. They at first honored the "mess up". They said they would make it right but their accountant lady wasn't in until next week so I would have to call back next week when she was in the office. That seemed to be a run around tactic because two months later I still haven't heard back from them and Everytime I called they would either hang up on me or tell me their accountant lady wasn't in the office. I ended up having to get the BBB involved and talk to my attorney which solved the matter. Never the less they lost my business and I tried multiple times to get them to do the right thing. On top of all this headache and hassle they didn't even drain my septic fully they left more than half the septic full of waste and they were paid for a full drain and cleansing of the system. Plus their employees were caught drinking on the job by the tenants and were rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend using their servicees to my worst enemy. They also said at one point they weren't responsible for the over payment and it's the way they do bids so they don't owe me anything. Worst septic experience I have ever had and I deal with lots of septic companies being I have lots of properties in many states. read more

Today I called and recounted the conversation as best I recall with a salesperson named Tim who chuckled at me and told me I would be wasting his time and my money. I just had my septic tank pumped out by Mike, and it was a pleasant experience,he had to do so much work just to gain access and he did it with a good attitude and like a super professional. Employee pumping my septic tank on 3/13/15 scammed me into believing I had additional problems that would cost me $300 or more to fix. He offered to perform the work for $150 on the side, which amounted to him adding water to the tank for 10 minutes and pumping it out. This did not completely "clean" the tank as I was told was required. I called the office manager (Wally) that same day who told me to mail a copy of the cancelled check and they would send me a refund. To additional letters mailed to the company with proof of the payment and no response whatsoever. On 4/10 I reached the owner (Tim Ransom) who denied I had ever been promised a refund and that "if you paid $150 you got a deal". This is a total scam and rip-off of the consumer and I would never recommend to us this company for septic pumping. read more

They presented a lower charge over the phone which made my decision to go with them. And once they arrived at the property the driver/operator tried to convince me several times that our septic tank is larger than it is in order to attempt to charge us more. The service provided was rushed, incomplete, rude and unprofessional. Even though I have proof with previous service receipts from 3 different Septic Pumping Companies reflecting the size of our tank this Co. did not want even consider that information but instead "eyeballed" the size of the tank and charged and processed the order accordingly. What's more unbelievable and another example of extremely poor customer service the driver advised me that next time we need a septic pumping service that we should contact another Septic Pumping Company vs them.
