He arrived on time and he sent me a price within a couple of days. I know he's busy which tends to happen when you do good work so I told him, quote approved, let's make it happen! That next Saturday his guys did demo, gate door fix (our last landscaper did a shoddy job that Albert fixed for me), dirt and rock haul off, grading. Then couple days later, Monday his crews poured our driveway extension. Beautiful joint layout and great work. I paid 50% on day 1 and 50% after his guys finished. Professional level work too.

He tired to reschedule for later that day at 3/4pm but that didn't work for me so he said ended up coming out within the hour. He also told me he wasn't licensed which is a huge liability for the home owner. We are doing an entire backyard Reno with a decent budget so it wasn't that our job wasn't worth while. Updated: i'm genuinely sorry for the loss of your family member! I would hope though that communication would still remain open as a simple text message to update me would have taken less than a minute and much faster than the time you took to respond on here. - i'm not mad at all so I'm not sure why you put that in your response but when I was searching for other contractors, yelp, put your company right in front of me and asked me to review it. It wasn't something that I sought out. So I left an honest review of my experience. I completely agree with other contractors being licensed and having horrible reviews. Your reviews looked great, which is why I called you in the first place. Great craftsmanship/ reviews or not, a homeowner is still liable if someone on the job gets injured and that could have potential to ruin someone's life in a lawsuit. It Has nothing to do with the quality of work but just liability in general. The only thing that was questionable is how long you've been in business and are just now getting your license. That didn't really add up to me, but I wish you guys the best truly and sorry again for your loss

We purchased a renovated older style home, and when we were going through the motions of the purchase, the first thing we knew we were going to work on was the backyard. The house still had a chain-link fence in the backyard which was along an alley, only security we had were the 14 oleanders blocking the alley from my back yard and pool. I was looking at getting a 6ft, 75LF block wall installed. For a home job like that I was reaching out to many contractors for bids. Rod by far was the most realistic priced sub contractor. I honestly feel bad for anyone who calls everyone but Rod for a bid. When I say Rod's prices are fair I mean they are FAIR. 3x, 4x, even 5x times fair, if you get my drift. Without hesitation I gave the job to Rod and his team. Then a bunch of weird stuff happened, all on my part. But the main thing Rod kept in touch every week for a month until I was ready to go. They reinforced the base of our pool wall facing an alley that was crumbling and becoming unstable. We talked with other craftsman and decided to go with Jose because of his well-thought our solution and reasonable estimate. And they are really nice. They worked efficiently, and got the task done with a minimum of noise and disruption. Nine hours our wall is fixed - with a sturdy, rebar-reinforced bumper the length of the section. They cleaned up so nicely after themselves ... all I can say is WOW!! We would hire Jose every time we needed concrete or paver work done.
