I started a yelp account just to give this guy 5 starts. Let me give a quick breakdown of my experience with Paul: 1.GF loses only key to her car 2. After searching a bunch of locksmiths which turn out to be way too expensive and time consuming (next day service at best) I call Paul 3. When i get on the phone with Paul I am taken aback at how too the point he is. asks me where i am what kind of car and within minute he tells me he'll be there by 5 (it's 1pm now) and quotes me a GREAT price, much better than all the other shops. 4. Paul is there by 3:30. 5. The key needed a chip and it actually turns into a much bigger hassle because of certain issues with the car. Even though Paul spent an extra 30 dollars to get the info to activate the chip and im sure spent at least an extra 45 minutes of his time because of this issue which is really our fault, he does NOT try to change his quoted price!!! 6. He is finished in an hour and 15 minutes, and with the issue that we ran into I'm pretty sure no other locksmith would have been able to do what he did. 7. I pay him the extra 30 dollars for the software cost he ran into AND A TIP because he was so professional and did such an amazing job. Also the main thing is he did not change the quoted price even though the job was much more expensive for him than he originally thought because of an issue on our side. In essence I gladly paid him extra without him asking because of his professionalism and amazing service. DO NOT CALL ANYONE ELSE, there is no one that can beat his prices OR his service. read more

Paul is one of the most easy going people I have ever met. Impeccable customer service, and high-quality work. Clearly passionate about his career and also kind with helping others. I needed to replace my car key as I was stuck using my spare and I had dealt with a locksmith in the past with the prices advertising as low as 39 dollars and the bill coming out to 100 dollars, so when I called Paul, I asked him the price, he gave me a very reasonable and cheap price, 1/3 than a dealership and he didn't charge for the mobilization of his work station to come to my home. He gave me a price, he stuck with it. I called he said the number, and boom, that was it, not hassle, no stress. He is a genuine individual, I'm very pleased with the services he has provided me and I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends, family and colleague if a delicate situation like this were to happen. Being in a hurry today I accidentally left my keys in the ignition. I googled a car locksmith in San Jose and immediately got 24HourLockSmithSanJose on their way after being told technician would give me an estimate upon arrival within 20-30 minutes. 30 minutes came and went, when I received a call from a technician saying he was on his way... (By that time I had already looked up other locksmiths on yelp and had gotten a really good estimate from Paul)... So, I told the 24HourLockSmithSanJose technician, that I had been told he would arrive in 20-30 not be on his way after 30 minutes and still no estimate from them! So I told him he could cancel my service request. I didn't waist anymore time I got on the phone and called Paul back and told him I would be needing his services. Paul arrived on time and had my car unlocked in no time. He also has the equipment to make keys so I went ahead and got an extra key for my car. There's a reason why he's been in business this long. Paul is absolutely fantastic! I had just closed escrow on a home and was worried about the flimsy locks. I needed a locksmith asap and was able to get a hold of Paul right away. He asked that I email him photos of the current locks and emailed me back the same day. He told me to call if I had any questions so I did, at 8:00 at night! He took my call and explained the shortcomings of the current locks and what he would like to do to make my doors more secure. This is exactly what I needed since I know nothing about locks and making doors more secure. On the day of the appointment, Paul arrived early, explained everything to me, and was very professional. Wow. What a great service. Paul is the best. I locked my car and left my only key in the ignition, and He came out to Sunnyvale where I work and before I could even meet with him he had found my car (2001 Corvette) and opened it already and was in the process of making a SPARE KEY which was no extra charge! Wow, no one ever offered that before, which saved me another hassle. His Van was very well equipped including key making machine and with every tool imaginable. He was very nice and professional, and was done in less than 10 minutes. He inherited the business from his Dad he told me, and is very knowledgeable. I was very impressed and told him so. I highly recommend him to all my friends, coworkers, and especially family. You can't go wrong with Paul- he'll take care of you after you mess up. My 98 Corolla ignition was stuck. The keys were badly worn and the ignition damaged. Paul came on time and did a superb job. First, he took the key code off of the door lock to make a couple of new keys. Then he took out the ignition cylinder, repaired it, and reinstalled it. And he did all that within an hour! The quote I got from my mechanic for this kind of repair was around $450, but Paul charged me less than 1/3 of that! Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with this experience. I will follow this review up with an update in a couple months to see if everything still works smoothly. Forgot to add an important detail yesterday: Paul is very honest. Paul is friendly, efficient and fair. His prices and service cannot be beat! I moved here very recently from up north and I came without a spare set of keys (how silly, they're so cheap to make), or a AAA membership, so when they fell out of my bag and I locked them in the car, I really had no choice but to call a locksmith. He seemed to have wonderful reviews and very happy customers, so I gave him a call. I checked other prices nearby and everyone else was charging nearly double the amount. He was over here quickly, and was able to open my door and hand me my keys in less than 3 minutes. Absolutely phenomenal! Decided to check out locksmiths on Yelp, as we have had several "lock" issues at work that have needed to be addressed for some time now. So when we decided to go ahead and get the locks changed, we thought we would go ahead and take care of these other issues as well. I called A-Able Locksmith and Paul answered. It was around 10 am and I explained what we wanted done. He said he would be over around noon. He showed up a little earlier than that. We showed him what we wanted done and he immediately went to work. He addressed every issue we had and even went beyond the call of duty by fixing the lock in my office as well at no charge. I chose A-Able Locksmith because it had 5 stars and read through the these YELP online ratings feedback. All had positive ratings and feedback, so that put me at ease. I called A-Able Locksmith and Paul answered the phone. He was able to come out the same day to re-keyed our entire house under 1 hour. What we looked for in locksmith is someone we can trust and is competent to do the job right. Paul was that person. His demeanor was professional and a good person you can trust! Locking myself out of my car sucks, calling around and getting quotes for 80 to 125 bucks sucks even worse, but not A-Able locksmith. i decided to to search yelp and after reading some reviews thought i would give them a call, i talked to Paul i believe and he was very nice over the phone gave me a quote of 50 dollars. i was shocked since everywhere else i called to unlock my car was 80 and up since its a vw and it has electric locks that no one wants to deal with, but he accepted and said he would be there in 30 mins which he was. Paul was amazing -- professional, quick and knowledgeable. Our car was stranded far away from home. Our key would unlock the door and fit into the ignition, but wasn't able to turn and start the ignition. All the other locksmiths in the area wanted to charge us more than twice what Paul's price was. We called Paul in the afternoon, and despite his busy schedule, he was able to come find us within the same evening. He took apart and repaired the ignition cylinder in half an hour. Paul promptly showed up in the afternoon and efficiently resolved my problem. Although we ran into a snag and had to take longer than expected, Paul never once raised the price he quoted me over the phone, which I thought was great to begin with given that it was the weekend. This was my first time to have to call a Locksmith to unlock my bedroom door. I've called different Locksmith's around my area that were too pricey, time would take long, and had horrible communication. Paul gave me the best deal and was very professional. Paul came on time and installed new locks for our front door. He is very professional, Patient and committed. We found that the latching plates were not positioned properly and so cannot use the old plates with new bolts and locks. It needed some adjustment in cutting small piece of wood to fix the new latching plates on the side of the door frame. Paul did it perfectly at no extra cost. This is something unexpected when scheduled for installation. Also he made two extra keys for the new locks and adjusted our front mesh door lock positions to close the entrance door with new locks comfortably. He is awesome!!! I absolutely had the best experience with Paul from A Able lock smith! We needed to have our company locks changed ASAP since we had let go of a employee. He was awesome he was able to come within less than an hour. Super professional. He even fixed the rusty door that was always getting stuck. He re keyed two doors for us and cut us all 8 keys in less than an hour. In and out and super inexpensive. He also was able to make some recommendations for us on better ways to keep the business safer. I will call him again next time we need anything done with our locks. Great service & communication! I called Paul early on a Sunday morning needing to get a lock rekeyed. He set an appointment for that same morning. He then followed up to let me know that he could come earlier than expected. This shows me his care and understanding of his profession and when people need help with locks, they don't want to wait around and just want to get the problem fixed as fast as possible. I am the manager at the South First Billiards in downtown San Jose, I called Paul this morning, and he was very helpful. I cannot say enough great things about my contact with Paul! I called Paul in the early morning and he came out to change all of the door locks in my house a few hours later! Once Paul was here, I asked him if he could install an additional dead bolt lock (and drill the holes in the door) even though I had not scheduled this when I made the appointment. Paul was very accommodating, efficient & friendly--and he had everything he needed on his van to fix all of my requests!
