I had no idea how convenient and professional and affordable a mobile locksmith could be. I needed a 4button key for my 2016 Subaru Forester. I contacted the dealer and the price was over $340. I saw that Ace hardware store could make a replacement 4 button key but it would be a week before the key would be available. I called Advanced Lock and Key and within minutes the dispatcher connected me to the technician, Jim. At 4pm, just as he promised, Jim drove in our driveway and within 15 minutes I had a perfect 4 button key at a reasonable price. Do not hestitate to call Advanced Lock and Key; I'm so glad I did! (Attached is a photo with the new key in the middle and the valet and original key that Jim reprogrammed for us. They all work perfectly! I'm just blown away with how simple Advanced Lock and Key made this process.) Update: Can I give these guys 7 stars? Jim restored proper function to our valet key!! One key we got from the Subaru dealer a couple years ago was a valet key. It never seemed, to us, to work correctly. If we locked the car with the valet key and then unlocked it with the valet key, the alarm went off until we put the valet key started the car with the valet key. It seemed useless. We took the car and the key to the Subaru dealer, showed them the issue and their chief mechanic told us "It's designed to function that way." Please. Jim needed to reprogram all three of our keys, which he did quickly, and now the valet key makes sense: If you lock the car with the valet key and unlock with the valet key no alarm. If you lock the key with the remote, the alarm system is set and if you open the car with the valet key then the alarm sounds. Perfect. BETTER AND MORE COMPETENT THAN THE DEALER!!! This time I get a third person who doesn't know what is going on either. So, he puts me on hold for awhile so he can call the woman who hung up on me and then they both come back on the line like a junior high group call. All I can ascertain is that the second person I spoke with got confused or annoyed when I spoke with her and assumed the other dispatcher was working on my call. If anyone would have bothered to have some patience or customer service maybe they would have been able to sort this out. But, drama and hijinks ensued while I am sitting locked out in the cold. But, whatever, the next locksmith I called was friendly, more affordable and at my door in 5 minutes. So, thanks for being shitty I guess.

I needed to go to a funeral nearby on the weekend & wanted to go to the house after. I was very surprised to find the price for Saturday the same as the weekday. Their solution to timing the appointment was to give me the tech's cell & told to call as soon as I was ready to start for the house. Jay C. arrived less than 10 min. after I arrived. His truck was really well-equipped, ready for anything. My husband arrived about 10 min. later. Jay was extremely friendly & courteous. He was also really good, opening the house in less than 3 minutes. I also liked he wanted proof of ownership to ensure we were the legal owners, which explains the caveat given about when the tech would arrive. "He may be delayed if we get a call from the police or other emergency." This company's service is so good seems they're who the cops call when they need a locksmith. Plus they're careful about keeping things legal. They hit 5-star status when Jay, finding out we planned to change all the locks didn't try to dissuade us or to use his company. Instead he offered us excellent tips on putting new locks in old doors. We highly recommend this company for it's speed, friendliness, customer service & quality. I called Sam's Locks yesterday morning. Michael showed up and re-keyed one cylinder lock and one…read moredoor knob lock. I asked him to repair the loose doorknob. He said no problem. After awhile, noticed he installed a new cheap brass looking door knob. I asked him why and he said the old door knob was "no good" and that he couldn't repair. After finishing, he gave me an outrageous invoice for $300 For only 30 minutes of work. He said to write the check directly to him and Not the company. Very shady and dishonest cause I was quoted differently over the phone. When I asked why the high price, he said he would remove the new locks and leave. I gave him a check made out to himself, Michael Verbitsky, not the company. He said that he bought Sam's Lock & key and he was running the business now. I would Not use Sam's Locks again. He gave me excellent advice and had me follow up my request for him in an email. my job was not urgent but within two days he was at my place and called me to update me on his findings and what he recommended.
