I asked them to send someone else. I loved the second cleaner and had her for the longest time and she randomly stopped coming. They never even told me if they fired her or she left. I asked them to please not send anyone else besides her because she was the only one who did a good job. After a few times of her not showing up (they pretended she was just sick and kept sending other people) they had to fess up that she no longer worked there. Every person besides this one girl did horrible work. The company has so much turnover that I believe they also have bad working conditions. I think the owners pocket most of the money and pay their employees poorly which is why they cannot retain staff. I clearly wrote in the messages (screenshot attached below) that I cancelled service. They will do anything not to wrong their rights or help their customers. The cleaner literally admitted to me her vacuum was broken and the owner then claimed that was a lie and it worked fine. I then vacuumed myself with my own vacuum because I didn't want to leave my house so filthy after paying to have a poor job done. What pictures can I send if I already did YOUR job? You guys are a disgrace for a company LOL so go ahead and pretend that you cancelled me when you can see the text below showing I cancelled. Now I had to hire a new company which is very annoying but much better than dealing with the 2 rude owners of this place. Believe me-you can see all my reviews since I started using Yelp. It is very rare that I write a bad review and it is only with good reason. I would rather keep a cleaning company I have a multi year relationship with vs find someone new but they DO NOT care about keeping happy clients or employees. I feel bad for all the women cleaners who work here because they are underpaid and overworked. The ownership is AWFUL. Do yourself a favor and just find someone else. I have now hired Purific Cleaning Solutions and they are already 1000% times better at communicating than Get Clean. As soon as I use them I will write a review so you can see some other options. Get Clean is so rude and money hungry. Original Review: I am SO over this company. After 3 years I am finally cutting the cord. Anna and John are so unprofessional and do not care about customer service. All the workers are very sweet but they don't stay with the company due to the horrible management practices. I have been thinking about getting a new company for a while but it's been easier to just have them come biweekly. I had Ohla who was the BEST ever. She stopped working there and they didn't tell me until after sending someone to my house that I didn't know or approve. Today they sent someone new again and they didn't have a working vacuum. Mine was not charged so they couldn't even finish the job. I reached out to Anna and she said that they take care of their vacuums so it's not possible that the rug wasn't clean. I had to vacuum the house myself and asked them for a discount on my next service. She asked for photos and I said I already cleaned it myself when the cleaner left. I pay EXTRA to have them come with all the equipment and supplies. They just do what they want and do NOT care about customer service. Instead of calling me and trying to resolve Anna basically just said "okay cancel". After 3 years this is how you treat your customers? Okay I will make sure everyone in Chicago knows you guys have horrible business practices and treat your employees and customers like garbage. This is not the first time I have had issues with them but I have let a lot go. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Don't even care enough to pick up the phone and talk to your customers just cancel and be rude via text. DO not use this company. It's not worth the headache even though they do have a few employees who do a good job. (Must have left due to the owners) When I have more time I will be adding more screenshots of rude texts I have received from them.

They'll rush to finish and literally run out the door. They could care less about your satisfaction, their sole focus is how quickly they can finish and can maximize their revenue.

    Complaint Summary: I…read moream a long-term customer (approximately five years) of this cleaning service, Kulas Maids. I am filing this complaint to document a pattern of problematic business practices, not a single isolated incident. On multiple occasions over several years, the company has failed to provide adequate advance notice of scheduled cleanings, despite representing that customers will receive at least 24 hours' notice to allow cancellation or rescheduling. When this issue has been raised, the front-office staff has repeatedly responded defensively and attempted to shift blame rather than acknowledge the failure. In the most recent incident, a front-office employee behaved in a rude and dismissive manner and stated that the company would charge me for services not rendered. There is no written contract, no disclosed cancellation policy, and no authorization for such charges. Threatening to charge a customer for services that have not been performed, without contractual basis, is deceptive and coercive. I escalated the matter to senior management and requested a written apology from the employee involved. Management refused to provide one. As a result, I am terminating the service and filing this complaint so the pattern of conduct is documented for other consumers. Desired Resolution: I am not seeking compensation. I am seeking documentation of this complaint and assurance that customers are not threatened with charges for services not performed in the absence of a written agreement.

We just needed a deep cleaning for a move-out including appliances and cabinets. Realtors and buyers had come through the apartment for showings. No one had remarked on the cleanliness of the place as a major issue. Even new kitchen counters had been recently installed, so we weren't expecting major issues other than a good scrubbing of appliances. Thinking everything was fine especially for a smaller space. I left the apartment for 2+ hours - hoping to come back to a clean place. Unfortunately, I couldn't discern a noticeable difference in cleanliness of the kitchen. I ask the cleaner what's been cleaned in the last three hours - opening cabinets and pointing to the dust. After three hours, I just asked for the cleaner to leave. Gia's explanation was that the apartment was "pretty dirty and not brand new so it's just difficult to get rid of everything for the first time cleaning". I couldn't see though that much had been cleaned. Even the brand new counters looked dirtier than before. I ended up just wiping down the counters and picking up a broom - sweeping to see that there was still dust on the floor. The cabinets still unopened and items hadn't even shifted. The appliances had visible crumbs and dirt streaks/smudges. Definitely disappointed after shelling out $160 even after asking them to leave. It was more of a hassle to deal with scheduling the cleaner, leaving the apartment / picking up cash, and still to clean the apartment. After they left, neither myself or husband could tell what was cleaned. I'm just going to have to go through the expense of hiring another cleaner.

Before I submitted my Google review, there were only 3 Google reviews for this business. After I submitted my one-star review, within 24 hours, another 9 five-star reviews were submitted, and my review disappeared. Highly suspicious!!!!!! USE THEM WITH CAUTION! If you express any dissatisfaction about their service, they have an attorney and might threaten to sue you!!! Timeline : Prior to the cleaning: Daria: The estimate for the move-in/move-out cleaning for your apartment is two cleaners for 2.5 to 3 hours. Day 1 of the cleaning: The cleaners came in at 1:10 pm (appointment was 1:00 pm). I opened the door for them and left for work. After cleaning started: Daria: The girls looked at the apartment, and decided 2 hours was not enough. They would need the full 3 hours. Before 4:00 pm: Daria: The girls said the apartment was in bad shape so the would not be able to finish today, and they need to leave at 4 so if you want them to finish the cleaning, they will have to come back and cleaning it for another 1 to 1.5 hours. Me: What are left? Daria: The kitchen and the floors. After 4:00 pm: Daira: I know you are confused about the extra hours. We are not trying to keep adding hours so we can charge more, but your apartment is in really bad shape and we want to have the job done. Me: What if they still don't finish after adding 1.5 hours? Daira: They will work until they finish even if they exceed 1.5 hours. Me: Will I be charge for even more hours beyond the 1.5 hours? Daira: No. Therefore I scheduled the extra hours with Daria for the next day. In the evening: I visited the apartment and found a few things that are not clean that are supposed to be cleaned according Daria, including the bathrooms and the closets. I texted Daria about those. Day 2 of cleaning: The cleaners came at 8:10 am (appointment was 7:30 am. Daria called at 7:30 am and told me they would be there at 8:00 am). I opened the door for them and left. Daria came to the apartment at 9 am and I showed her the things that have been cleaned by them but are not clean to my eyes. In the evening: I visited the apartment again, and found the things that I showed to Daria are still not clean. In addition to that, the kitchen cabinet doors are still greasy and full of oil drops. The microwave and the oven are still completely dirty. Afterwards: Daria: Have you received the invoice? Me: Yes. But the apartment is still not clean especially the kitchen. You mentioned your team would do the job until my satisfaction. (Note that at this point I HAVE NEVER MENTIONED THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY HER.) Daria: My attorney will be contacting you soon. I will be sending you a demanding letter. I will be disclosing the pictures of the apartment before and after cleaning. Me: I never said you didn't cleaning the apartment. I said your cleaning was not to my satisfaction as you promised. Daria: The microwave and cabinets are still greasy because they didn't have enough time to do the proper job! (My comment: remember that Daria promised that she would not charge more beyond another 1.5 hours if they had to take even more time to finish the job.) End of timeline. My thoughts: 1. I was fooled by all the 5-star reviews here. I did see some reviewer-posted pictures showing stuff being dirty, but there's no review associated with them. It was strange to me but I didn't think too much about it. Now thinking back, maybe the review associated with those pictures is really bad and was magically removed. 2. I never said to Daria I was not going to pay her. I just mentioned that she should keep her promise and finish the job. That triggered her having her attorney to demand the payment from me. 3. Who would have an attorney at hand that's always ready to deal with clients that are not willing to pay in time? I can only imagine how many unhappy customers they got! I believe that says something about the quality of their service. 4. I used a cleaning service not because I'm rich or too lazy. I'm neither. I used a cleaning service because I believed they were professional and would clean the apartment better than I would myself, and so I could have a nice and clean home when I moved in. I was wrong. I found that for the things that they didn't clean properly, I could easily clean them after my own experiments. The attached photos were taken after their cleaning, and show that lots of dirty things they left behind could even be wiped off with wet paper towels. 5. I understand cleaning service is a tough and underpaid job because I'm working class myself. That's why it was never my intention not to pay her. 6. If you just need regular house hold cleaning, please ignore this review because I haven't used them for that. They are probably fine for that according to other reviews.

The past couple of weeks were super hectic, and I needed help getting my condo in order. Daria responded right away when I contacted her, and Veronica fortunately was able to come the next morning. She was friendly, right on time, and sweet to my barking pup. I didn't realize how much love my place needed until I returned to a spotless home this evening. What a relief! Thanks again, D&M!
