UPDATE: BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS! I submitted the same review on Google and it lasted less than 24 hours before it disappeared! Before I submitted my Google review, there were only 3 Google reviews for this business. After I submitted my one-star review, within 24 hours, another 9 five-star reviews were submitted, and my review disappeared. Highly suspicious!!!!!! USE THEM WITH CAUTION! If you express any dissatisfaction about their service, they have an attorney and might threaten to sue you!!! Timeline : Prior to the cleaning: Daria: The estimate for the move-in/move-out cleaning for your apartment is two cleaners for 2.5 to 3 hours. Day 1 of the cleaning: The cleaners came in at 1:10 pm (appointment was 1:00 pm). I opened the door for them and left for work. After cleaning started: Daria: The girls looked at the apartment, and decided 2 hours was not enough. They would need the full 3 hours. Before 4:00 pm: Daria: The girls said the apartment was in bad shape so the would not be able to finish today, and they need to leave at 4 so if you want them to finish the cleaning, they will have to come back and cleaning it for another 1 to 1.5 hours. Me: What are left? Daria: The kitchen and the floors. After 4:00 pm: Daira: I know you are confused about the extra hours. We are not trying to keep adding hours so we can charge more, but your apartment is in really bad shape and we want to have the job done. Me: What if they still don't finish after adding 1.5 hours? Daira: They will work until they finish even if they exceed 1.5 hours. Me: Will I be charge for even more hours beyond the 1.5 hours? Daira: No. Therefore I scheduled the extra hours with Daria for the next day. In the evening: I visited the apartment and found a few things that are not clean that are supposed to be cleaned according Daria, including the bathrooms and the closets. I texted Daria about those. Day 2 of cleaning: The cleaners came at 8:10 am (appointment was 7:30 am. Daria called at 7:30 am and told me they would be there at 8:00 am). I opened the door for them and left. Daria came to the apartment at 9 am and I showed her the things that have been cleaned by them but are not clean to my eyes. In the evening: I visited the apartment again, and found the things that I showed to Daria are still not clean. In addition to that, the kitchen cabinet doors are still greasy and full of oil drops. The microwave and the oven are still completely dirty. Afterwards: Daria: Have you received the invoice? Me: Yes. But the apartment is still not clean especially the kitchen. You mentioned your team would do the job until my satisfaction. (Note that at this point I HAVE NEVER MENTIONED THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY HER.) Daria: My attorney will be contacting you soon. I will be sending you a demanding letter. I will be disclosing the pictures of the apartment before and after cleaning. Me: I never said you didn't cleaning the apartment. I said your cleaning was not to my satisfaction as you promised. Daria: The microwave and cabinets are still greasy because they didn't have enough time to do the proper job! (My comment: remember that Daria promised that she would not charge more beyond another 1.5 hours if they had to take even more time to finish the job.) End of timeline. My thoughts: 1. I was fooled by all the 5-star reviews here. I did see some reviewer-posted pictures showing stuff being dirty, but there's no review associated with them. It was strange to me but I didn't think too much about it. Now thinking back, maybe the review associated with those pictures is really bad and was magically removed. 2. I never said to Daria I was not going to pay her. I just mentioned that she should keep her promise and finish the job. That triggered her having her attorney to demand the payment from me. 3. Who would have an attorney at hand that's always ready to deal with clients that are not willing to pay in time? I can only imagine how many unhappy customers they got! I believe that says something about the quality of their service. 4. I used a cleaning service not because I'm rich or too lazy. I'm neither. I used a cleaning service because I believed they were professional and would clean the apartment better than I would myself, and so I could have a nice and clean home when I moved in. I was wrong. I found that for the things that they didn't clean properly, I could easily clean them after my own experiments. The attached photos were taken after their cleaning, and show that lots of dirty things they left behind could even be wiped off with wet paper towels. 5. I understand cleaning service is a tough and underpaid job because I'm working class myself. That's why it was never my intention not to pay her. 6. If you just need regular house hold cleaning, please ignore this review because I haven't used them for that. They are probably fine for that according to other reviews. read more

Daria and her team at D&M are wonderful! I've contacted them for cleaning off and on for over a year and have always been impressed by their thoroughness and professionalism. The past couple of weeks were super hectic, and I needed help getting my condo in order. Daria responded right away when I contacted her, and Veronica fortunately was able to come the next morning. She was friendly, right on time, and sweet to my barking pup. I didn't realize how much love my place needed until I returned to a spotless home this evening. What a relief! Thanks again, D&M! read more

I must express my gratitude for Daria and her ladies, who leave my home feeling like a hotel every time they clean. The house FEELS clean and light, and my stress is immediately gone after every session. The ladies work hard and provide a detailed, thorough clean. They are the only company I have used where I don't need to re-clean afterwards. Daria takes lots of pride in her company and is easy to communicate with. So grateful for them! read more

Daria was responsive and scheduled Veronica immediately and to attend to a broken glass emergency. In addition she recommended a company she knew to do the repair at a reasonable price. I could not recommend her and her company more highly. read more

I have three small children that I homeschool, and both my husband and I work, so we don't have a lot of time to clean. The ladies did an amazing job on our house when we moved out. The bathtub looked new and the spots were gone from the ceiling! When my husband checked on them while they were cleaning, he could tell that they were working very hard to scrub everything as best as they could. I know that it was a tough job. I was pleasantly surprised, and sad that I would not be living in such a clean house any longer! Daria and D & M Ladies, thank you so much for your delightful service and affordable price! read more

Daria and her crew are fantastic! Not only was my home perfect- clean, organized, and exactly the way I like it- but she was prompt with communication, easy to reach, and personable. Before they left they asked me to check over everything to make sure it was to my liking and I could not have been more pleased. Definitely going to become regular customers and recommend D&M to those looking for an efficient, affordable cleaning company. **My favorite part is that they do most of the cleaning BY HAND- no fancy mops/brooms. They literally brought knee pads and HAND WASHED the floor just like I would.** read more

My wife and I recently purchased a new house, and were looking for a cleaning service to help keep things tidy. We were referred to D&M from my parents who have been satisfied clients for years, and were very impressed after our first cleaning this weekend! The two women who came were very thorough and efficient; they had our 4 bdrm house spotless in 2 hours, and at very reasonable rates. We've already signed up for monthly service. read more

I found D&M Cleaning when I was looking for a service to clean my apartment after I'd moved out of it. Daria sent two women, Ana and Marcela, to clean my place. They were extremely thorough and pleasant--and even arrived early! I strongly recommend using D&M. Daria is friendly, professional, accommodating, and has very reasonable rates. I thought it was time to give an update as I am 3 years into using D&M and still so very pleased. I've moved from a 1 bedroom 800 square foot unit to a 2000 sq foot home and the girls still nail it when cleaning my home. Did I mention that they are so efficient and fast too? I feel so lucky to have finally found a reliable consistent company that does a phenomenal job each and every time. read more

EXCELLENT service. Hubby and I both have joint injuries and we have not been able to clean our condo as it should be cleaned. I finally called D&M and Daria was so accommodating. They were very hardworking and I could not ask for better, in fact, they cleaned more thoroughly than I expected since I had never had anyone clean for me prior to this. read more

I called Daria with a last minute plea to clean our just vacated apartment while I tended to a family emergency. She and the two person team she was able to send gave us simply spectacular service. Since the building is slated for rehab we didn't need a "deep cleaning" but that's pretty much what we got. Thank you Daria. Wish we lived closer to you! read more

I contacted Daria on the recommendation of a friend-of-a-friend, as our current cleaning service has degraded greatly over time. When Daria showed up for the estimate, she pointed out several areas that clearly hadn't been cleaned in months and assured us they would be cleaned as part of their standard service. With all they were planning to do, I thought they might be double what our current service was charging, but I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable her rates were. A few days later, Daria and one of her crew showed up, and the attention to detail was remarkable. They didn't just straighten up and surface clean; it was clear they really got in and scrubbed areas that desperately needed it. Not only did they clean every nook and cranny, but they also did some extras like folded the laundry that we hadn't gotten around to putting away. I knew our past service wasn't great, but after Daria was here, I didn't realize what a difference a quality crew can make. read more

I live by myself in a South Loop condo and was told that my place was beginning to take on the feel of a "bachelor pad". Although I tried to keep my place clean, over time I just could not keep up. I was referred to D&M through a friend and could not be happier with the services provided. I walked in and immediately felt the sense of clean without being socked in the face with harsh chemical odors. From top to bottom, wall to wall the girls did an amazing job. I shopped around a little before hiring D&M and the pricing is on par with the industry. They were on time, provided an exceptional service for which they were contracted for, were trustworthy, and absolutely got the job done! Overall, I give D&M 5 stars, would recommend them to anyone looking for a cleaning service, and plan to have them continue to be my choice for home cleaning services for the foreseeable future! Thanks, Daria! read more

We were given a cleaning session as a gift recently, and we were very happy with the job D&M did. The two women who came were very thorough and took care of a lot of those little details that other cleaning crews often miss, like wiping blinds, getting the baseboards, vacuuming the couch, etc. Granted, our townhouse is not enormous, but I was still very impressed with how much the two were able to accomplish in just 2 hours. What a treat to have a spotless house! I hope we can find a way to have them come again, because now I'm feeling spoiled! read more

I have always been hesitant to bring someone into my house to clean, but I finally have in. I have a 3 bed 3 bath house and two women were in and out in 2 hours. My house has never looked so clean!! They were respectful of my things and seemed to have a great system. I will use them again for sure! read more

Daria and her crew did a phenomenal job on my apartment. I am a very meticulous cleaner and have been disappointed in the past by hiring cleaners who do a half-assed job. Daria's surpassed all my expectations. They did a truly thorough cleaning, without missing a spot. They were professional, sweet, and accommodating. Will definitely use them in the future! read more

We have been using D&M Cleaning Service on a weekly basis for well over a year now and they are fantastic! The two woman cleaning teams that have been sent here are knowledgeable, hard working and very nice. Daria is delightful - I highly recommend her company D & M Cleaning ---- try them, you will like them. read more

I've been using D&M Cleaning Services for years. They clean very well and are extremely neat. Daria can always accommodate whatever cleaning needs I request. She is honest. Daria is very hardworking. After she cleans I am so happy. read more

I want to start off by saying, Daria was a very nice owner when we first initially met. I used her cleaning service with the same 2 girls for a few months. I have a large home and the first time the girls came, I was told they would be here for a good 6 hours. They were and did a good job, especially since I hadn't had a maid service in several years. I knew for a 3 hr job for 2 women, that they likely wouldn't get through my entire house. I had no problem with that. The girls would come every other week. I think I was pretty clear and understanding to Daria and the 2 girls that 1 week they would do just the upstairs only and the next time they would do the first floor and basement. Not to worry about anything but the upstairs one week and then the 1st and basement the next time. After the 2nd time the girls were at my house, they left 15 min early. If I am paying $125 for 3 hrs and not even expecting my entire house to be clean, then I expect, at the very least, that they stay the 3 hrs. The only time they didn't leave early was the first 2 times. It was ridiculous. I explained it to Daria after they did this 3 separate times. Daria said she would talk to them. The very next time they came, my husband said they left 45 min early. I called Daria who was out of the country and she said she didn't understand why they kept doing that. She asked if I would give them one more chance and I told her I would think about it. I assumed Daria would contact me in a few days when she got back to the US. She never did. Bad business practice. I know I could have contacted Daria myself when she got back, but it sort of "sealed the deal" when she didn't care to apologize or call me when she got back home. Its not like this was a 1 time thing. It happened all but 2 times in about 10 different times the girls came. I do not think having 2 girls for 3 hours clean just 1 floor of my home would be difficult, let alone leave early. I would not recommend this service at all. Daria not calling me back when she got back to the US was extremely poor business practices. read more
