Well my friend and I came in at 11 am for a manicure having desperately needed one after quarantine. 3 hours later my pedicure is just decent and I hated my nails as she continued to file them till they were way too short then rushed my dip powder. My normal place isn't open on Sundays. Next time I will just wait. Update less than 24 hours after the dip powder went on my nail chipped. I'd give this place -5 stars if I could. read more

This place is the worst. My mom and I went on a Saturday at 11 PM and the place was empty. There were 2 workers and we asked for pedicures. One of the ladies said okay we can see you but sounded iffy about. (Kind of rude) I had my mom sit first and one lady started on my moms feet while the other worker went to eat. After she was done eating I thought maybe she would start on my feet but nope. Eventually another customer came in without an appointment and that lady started working on the new customer. So I guess she was too good to do feet and expected me to wait for my moms feet to be done to start mine?!? Furthermore she charged my mom $47 for a gel pedicure and nothing else. How did she even come up with $47. Bottom line customer service sucked, they were rude, overpriced and had poor management skills. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Ok so I just called up yesterday and needed an appt. fast Lotus Day Spa was booked to Friday. I hate having to wait because my time is very limited. I am military so I never know when I'll have the time to be a girl. (shh) Long and behold I called and bam had a 330 available yassssss!!! So long story short this time I passed out went to sleep and woke up to her gently caressing my fresh lashes taking her time for them to dry. When I opened it didn't burn like it did last time( I think a better glue and it was never nail glue it was just a different one I looked.) (Lmao) Well when I looked in the mirror they were 9so pretty and Natural and I have gotten fuller by her before and they were lovely too. I purchased a groupon for mink eyelash extensions and I've been thrilled! Today was my 5th visit for refills! When my lashes grow out too long she takes them off and replaces them. And for the reviewer who gave 1 star for using nail glue, I researched the glue extensively and Crystal showed me ALL her products...they are ALL professional/medical grade! Keep in mind... it IS still a chemical adhesive!! Crystal is the best!! read more

If I could give a zero star I would. I called and made an appointment for 12 and when I showed up they said it was made for 1. I made it for a pedicure, manicure and eye lash extension. They had just written down pedicure. They ended up still getting me in at 12 which is good.... First impression of this place is its dirty, they didn't get out clean tools. They had dark hair floating in my pedicure water. The chair is broken and doesn't massage or recline. She cut the same toe on both sides and rubbed my food so hard with the food scrubber it made a big red mark like rug burn. I asked for spa pedicure and all she did was put hot towels on my feet. No massage no sugar scrub. I'm pissed. Worst pedicure ever. read more

I just recently moved back to the area from out of state and tried "Lashes by Crystal" at A-1 nails a few days ago. After only 4 days, 85% of them have already fallen out. I spent $80 to get them done and am very familiar with the fact they should last roughly 2 weeks before even having to get a fill. (I've been getting them done for years and reality is, some places know what they're doing and others don't). I called Crystal this morning to explain my disappointment with the quality of the service and asked for a credit. I figured it wouldn't be worth it to have her reattempt the lashes if I know they don't last so I would have settled for a credit at minimum to get a pedicure or different service in the future. She refused to offer any credit or alternative other than me having to pay to get them done again. I WOULD NOT recommend getting your lashes done here. read more

Went to get my eyelashes done. I was pretty disappointed by the quality. I'm from Cali so I have high standards. I've gotten my eyelashes done in several states and so far VA disappoints me by the lack of eyelash techs in general. But anywho... After my i appointment I went home and had to remove several lashes that were going in several different directions... My eyelashes also look very clumpy. I will not return here. I will drive to NY if I have to. read more

The lady (I wish I had gotten her name) was very pleasant, and answered all my questions, since this was my first experience getting eyelash extensions. If you're planning to get lash extensions I suggest to check and see if there's a Groupon. Thank goodness I had one, its been 4 days srnse getting my extensions. I thought all was well but 4 days later I've had several come off and it's not due to natural lashes shedding. I think I could have saved that money and put it towards a professional estician.. The lady that did them was extremely nice and maybe they di nails better. All I have to say is, I would have been very upset if I didn't have the Groupon and paid full price.. I'm not sure if it's normal to be able to feel lumps of glue. I've also use cotton balls to pat my eyes when washing my eyes. Uggh.. you get what you pay for.. Seriously if anyone is looking for high quality NATURAL looking lashes then call Xanadu Salon in Chesapeake. They have an estician who does lashes. I'm picky but savvy and I would have rather have kept my $45 and forked out an extra $100. I only mention Xanadu due to the fact that my stylist lashes were amazing and never would have thought they were extensions. The other stylists also have them as well. I went there using a groupon for Mink Eyelash extensions. I was HORRIFIED to find out that they used NAIL GLUE to apply the lashes! My eyes burned when opening and I have made an appointment with my optometrist to try and get these horrible things off. They could've Damaged my eyes!!! The lady was nice but they need to know that it's not ok to is nail glue on someone's eyes! No wonder it was so cheap! Never again! read more
