A-1 Glass - The friendly installer putting in our windshield. - Windows Installation Near Me - Paso Robles, California

had a shower glass door installed by A1 Glass, and it was never installed properly. From the beginning, the door has never closed correctly. I gave them another opportunity to make it right and paid $350 for a repair. They sent Santos Plumbing to fix the issue, but unfortunately, the shower door still does not close properly. What's most frustrating is that A1 Glass will not stand behind their work or take responsibility for fixing the problem. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and making sure they stand behind their installation before doing business with them. In my experience, what seemed like a simple installation ended up costing me more money and still isn't fixed. read more

I used them in 2024 to replace my Toyota Highlander car windshield. They did a great job and everything works as it should. They also replaced my son's Tacoma windshield as well which was lifted and it all worked correctly after regarding the electronics now installed in newer vehicles. read more

I was referred to A-1 by the manufacturer of my double-pane glass windows. I needed a window replaced that had leaked. A-1 quoted me a price of just under $1000. Other companies were in the $500-$700 range. My handyman replaced the window for $210 ($58.00 for glass). Shop around unless you want the most expensive quote. read more

We hired A-1 Glass for a costly shower enclosure in Arroyo Grande in late 2024. The glass was installed in mid-January 2025. Within weeks, the gold color hardware began to tarnish and turn an ugly brown -- nothing like the high-end finish we were promised on the expensive starphirre glass we we ordered. We reported the issue in early February, and they returned on February 17 to replace the hardware -- with the exact same product, which failed again almost immediately. They had acknowledged in writing that the hardware was covered under warranty and would be replaced at no cost if it failed again. But when it did, we were met with vague sounding emails that gave the impression they were addressing it . Despite requests for managment to call us back and resolve this issue, they never did. As of mid-May 2025, the issue remains unresolved, and we're now having to pursue legal action against A1- Glass. This company claims to be family-owned? We gave them every chance to make this right. They didn't. Poor product. Poor service. No accountability. Last week we had several windows on our main house replaced from a neighboring glass company and had an incredible experience and breath of fresh air. read more

Wonderful people and fantastic, quality workmanship! From start to finish, A1 glass has been so wonderful to work with! They knew we were on a time constraint and worked hard to make sure our shower enclosure glass was measured, ordered , fabricated and installed prior to our travel date! I will only order any glass that I need from A1 glass! Thank you, A1 glass team! read more

This company is a joke had someone on the phone giving quotes that wasn't even qualified to do quoted us on a windshield for 7 hundred dollars called back to make an appointment to have windshield. Put in gentleman on the phone said, oh, she's not qualified to give quotes, quoted us at 1100, then called back later. And said 1600 would not recommend going there for anything read more

Excellent. Replaced my windshield, no muss, no fuss. Friendly staff. The best part... My insurance company recommended Safelite. A-1 did the job for less than half the price of what Safelite quoted and I didn't have to drive to Santa Maria. read more

This review is related to a frameless glass wall/door that they A-1 put into my shower. 1. They are super responsive (they came to measure within a few days of my call and came as and when promised) 2. They have very reasonable pricing (their quote was 50-60% of the amount of two other bids I got) 3. They kept me informed as to status of my glass order 4. They performed a very professional installation and it looks perfect All in all a totally positive experience, I would highly recommend them! read more

Jamie and John were easy to work with. There had been a problem with the windshield that was ordered, but John ordered a new one and put it in for me as soon as he received it. What an awesome company! They were the most responsive and reliable out of several companies that we talk to. They gave us a really good price for a broken window. The crew was respectful and cleaned up very nicely. We have babies in the house so it's always nice to have workers that keep the noise down to a minimum . Overall very satisfied with the job! read more

Jayden was a big help from the start getting the ball rolling on our window repair. She walked me through everything that needed to be done so I felt prepared and knew what to expect. Roger the installer was great, friendly, and just an all around nice guy. He was quick but efficient and did good work. My window looks great! The only thing that took quite a bit of time was the window coming in but once it got there they scheduled us quickly. I really appreciate them and would call them again if I ever needed glass work done again. read more

After interviewing many glass shops in the area, we went with A-1 Glass. Bryan was our initial introduction to A-1 Glass and he couldn't have represented his company any better. He was attentive and suggested several ideas for our deck glass. The pricing was competitive, but where they really shine is in their installation and customer service. The glass installers were incredibly professional. Most the time we didn't even know they were out there. We couldn't be happier with the end results. All the suggestions, installation, and customer service and follow-up exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend. read more

Awesome job A1 did on a windshield rock chip. I waited in the showroom with estimated wait time of 20 mins and it was done before I knew it!

This business saved me from a nightmare situation with Masons Tint. I bought a BMW and originally took it to get all the windows tinted at Masons because that's where my family has gone for years. I was extremely unsatisfied with the lack of quality work Masons performed so I took my car back to request them to remove my tint and give me my money back... well the owners were so rude and unprofessional that I left without either. I had already set an appointment with A1 for them to tint my windows and I had to call that morning of my appointment to let them know my previous tint was still on the car. The women assured me that they would still take care of me regardless of the situation and she was so understanding. When I got my car back the tint looked fantastic! No bubbles, no new scratches on my car if windows like that other place left. Just clean work! I am appreciative not only for the quality of work they did but how they turned a really crappy experience for me into a great one. Needless to say I will be taking my next car here and always highly recommend them. read more

We had some water leakage due to the rains. A-1 came out to inspect the windows that had water damage and explained what they believed to be the problem and the different repair options. I appreciated their experience and integrity, as they didn't just tell us to replace the windows but gave us less expensive options as well. They scheduled their work crew out the very next day!!!, Wow!! Thank you A-1 for taking care of us! read more

This shop is amazing. Alot of places say "no job too small" but good luck getting them to show up. I have a 100 year old house with single pane, double hung windows. Most glass shops will just say they don't do that but A-1 lived up to their name. They were on time, as scheduled and were efficient, fast and clean. I've had 3 windshields replaced there, as well and I would drive 50 miles out of my way to get to them for service. They are simply unrivaled in their field. read more

A-1 has been a champ every time I bring my car in. They are organized and responsive. We've brought cars in for auto glass but. Is they offer windows, shower enclosures, patio glass, French doors. They have a beautiful showroom, plus the auto glass. Every time I've been in, they are transparent and honest. Make an appointment or stop in, they are super helpful. read more

Charges the same cost ($570) of just replacing the wheels on the sliding door as is the same cost from the local Lowes to replace a sliding door window. Absurd. They get paid upfront - now I know why. Note: They have since called me back and will not be charging such an exorbitant amount. I'm still on a waiting list, so I'll wait until the actual job is done before I adjust my review. Finally finished up putting the wheels on the slider. In the end, the job was done - with greasy fingers and all for $270. You have to press them for service, but overall, they eventually did the job. read more

I met one of the owners of A-1 Glass by chance. As serendipity would have it, I was needing a glass company to come out to my vacation rental to stop the water from the multiple shower heads from leaking out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor and also get the shower door in alignment with the two glass panels next to it. Roger and Roy were very punctual. They both were very nice and personable, too. Roy and Roger worked beautifully together. Roger, who has many years of experience in this field, made sure any gaps between the panels were as closed as he could get them. He siliconed areas that needed it and did a beautiful job. From here on out, I will be using A-1 Glass because they are truly an "A-1" type of company! I'm giving them 5 stars because they are that good! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. My car had a cracked windshield. I came to get it replaced and the next day it cracked again, they replaced it again and a week later when it rained my car was flooded with water through the windshield they replaced. My headliner is ruined and my windshield leaks and this company won't pay for their mistake. I have been trying for months to get them to make this right and they refuse. They won't answer my emails anymore and won't let me talk to the owner when I call. They do faulty work and won't pay for it to be fixed. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. read more
