Charged $704 and no cleaning. I was suspicious so i called our builder who recommended another company. As the other reviews on this page note, i was told by the 2nd company there was no damage and no need for any relining. To add insult to inury they tried to tell me that "relining" isnt as good as replacing the "whole chimney" for $35,000. The 2nd company said that there was no need for any repair but if there were, a relining was about $1,600. This is fraud. And if they say we aren't listed as a customer as apparently they do, I will post the invoice and the charge. Beware.

They said the motherboard was fried and we had to replace the whole system. If you are okay with calling them frequently for something to fail and waiting a few cold nights or hot days for them to get the part, this is the company you want to do business with. This business seems too shady. We called a different (Oak Creek Heating and Cooling) they were able to find the source and were able to fix it for under $90. Oak Creek Heating and Cooking seems more experienced and knowledgeable. I will be going with them from now on.

I called the morning after the recent Windstorm and the receptionist was polite and professional all business she told me someone would be over to my home to check out the damage in a few hours. Two hours later the owner Steve arrived to look over the damage he went on the roof to see firsthand the damage, he took the damage Chimney Cap with him and said he would try to get a new cap made as soon as possible and have it installed as soon as the cap was made he would try for a fast turnaround time. now this chimney is not the normal size cap it's around 40 x 48 located 40 ft off the ground. the company kept me informed on a timely basis on the progress of my repair. In about a day and a half I was notified that the owner Steve and the crew were coming over early afternoon to repair my chimney when they arrived they went right to work. While installing a new cap they discovered damage exhaust pipes inside the chimney they replace the damage pipes with new ones. The owner crawled inside the chimney and made sure the pipes were repaired and secured. They did install the Chimney Cap and Security in place they put the caps on the two exhaust pipes and then they caulked the screws and seems and they were finished the owner and the crew were professional courteous and thorough the owner Steve has a high level of Integrity. I had an appointment for a $179 A/C tune-up. We had been customers of 1st Choice for 26 years and…read moreregularly had "Steve" as our tech. He was knowledgeable and honest. He retired, the company changed hands a couple years ago and this is what happened. The new tech "Nick" arrived and immediately declared our existing unit obsolete. He never layed a meaningful hand on the equipment. Since it was 26 years old I decided to go with his advice which lead to cursory look at our furnace and a caution that "Carrier" was fazing out of residential HVAC equipment and they no longer sold it. He suggested that we stop right there before he did any "work" and have his brother "Dan" come in to give me an estimate on replacing both units. He said there would be NO CHARGE for him since he hadn't done anything. He left and Dan came an hour later and gave me an estimate for roughly $14,000. It was emailed to me. When I looked for it the first thing I saw was a bill for $135 for "Cancelling the Tune-up"! There was nothing wrong with my equipment so I called the "office" and this awful receptionist, Heather, immediately got defensive. She insisted that the technician should have told me about the charge and that she would have a lien put on our house if I didn't pay! She Hung up when I told her that she likely just caused her company to lose a $14,000 job. I called back the next day, hoping to get through to anyone who understood the situation. If they were going to charge me $135 for nothing, I wanted them to come back for the $179 tune-up. "Heather" answered again and refused to forward the call, and hung up again! I am a respected business man in the real estate and financial business for over 40 years. I have given out hundreds of referrals over that time. I would never recommend this HVAC company again if they were the last one on earth!

Just two minor quibbles that prevented five stars here: 1) After installation, the installers left behind some screws on the floor that I naturally stepped on in stocking feet several days later. 2) The electrician asked before using my bathroom, but did not feel the need to wash his hands afterwards.
