Very knowledgeable serviceman who answered all of our questions. Very professional yet with a personal touch. Was truly interested in our specific concerns and questions. Did not take long to arrange an appointment. Offered suggestions on best way to set and regulate our furnace. After many years with another company that we've learned to distrust, a change was necessary and Donovan & Jorgensen definitely left us with a very good impression. read more

Just wanted a ballpark quote on my boiler that's working but acting up. To start they demand info like address and a phone number straight out the gate, I'm sure it's so they can harass me later with "do you still need" calls a week from now and when you give it you find out they charge $100 just for a diagnosis. Don't waist your time They clearly don't want the business. read more

Fast response - diagnostic appointment of AC unit scheduled for early next morning. Tech Kayla diagnosed problem quickly and explained options for fixing the AC unit quickly and clearly. Refrigerant was gone indicating it had one or more leaks. I decided to have the refrigerant refilled as stop-gap measure. The total cost for the appointment was $517. It was a failure on my end to not ask if I could have gone with less refrigerant to save money. In the end I'm only using the AC unit for 14 days before having it replaced. Kayla's estimate for repair was approximately $5000 plus a chance for it to be more based on the time it would take to find the leak(s). I decided to go with replacement of the AC unit based on its 11 year age and the approximate cost of $6000 to fix it. Sales person Steve contacted me later that day and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for replacement. I found him personable and professional and he gave his estimate promptly with the information I needed about it. I had 2 followup questions that he quickly answered. In the end I went someone else for the AC unit replacement, but more because of an option to include switching my furnace to have an electrostatic filter at the same time I did the AC unit replacement. The cost of the AC units were similar. Overall very good diagnostic and fix, as well as quick followup on providing an estimate for replacement. read more

I called for service on my AC unit on a Wednesday morning. The unit had failed on a Monday but we had to wait for our home warranty to give us clearance to use an outside contractor. The person indicated that they should be able to get to us before the end of the week. I didn't receive a call Thursday or Friday so I called in on Friday. They said they were still catching up and that it should be early next week. I didn't receive a call on Monday or Tuesday. I called Wednesday morning and they said they would have their scheduler call me. Of course I didn't receive a call from anyone at D&J. Finally I called another service company and they said they could have someone out by noon the next day. I called D&J Wednesday afternoon and they said they had a technician coming yet today. I don't believe this as they probably realized they screwed up and re-routed someone to my ticket having totally dropped the ball. I told them how badly they have handled my request and told them to cancel my service call. This is terrible service from a service company. I would definitely NOT recommend using Donovan and Jorgenson for any service, installation, or other. read more

A few months ago i asked for recommendations for furnace installer on the Next Door Neighbor app. Many people answered. In the end i tallied up what companies came up the most. And i got quotes from 3 of the top companies. The number 1 company was Donovan Jorgenson. I liked the furnace they offered with 12 year parts and labor warranty and replacement of furnace if the stainless steel primary and Secondary heat exchangers ever failed. I liked that it was 97% efficient and was a modulating furnace with variable speed fan. I liked their price. Frankly their warranty is the best i have found. I chose them and signed a contract in july but we delayed install till last week (1st week of September) as we didn't want to be without ac in summer. They installed last week. Donovan Jorgenson did a fantastic job. I was told they would arrive at 8:30. They arrived promptly at 8:30. They put down a throw rug over our floor between garage entrance and basement stairwell to protect floor from dirt or damage. There were 3 installers there that all worked on different tasks. An electrician came later to do the electrical work. They were all done at 1:30 pm. They cleaned up and left NO mess. They took away the furnace and other removed materials. They explained everything i wanted to know about the new furnace and new thermostat. I was VERY IMPRESSED! I can HIGHLY recommend Donovan Jorgenson. If you need a home furnace or air conditioning unit please give Donovan Jorgenson a call. Tell them Rick Scholl from Menomonee Falls sent you! They will take excellent care of you! read more

Doesn't seem to want the business - after multiple inquiries they just reply with a copy-paste template answer and do not address your specific concerns. Which is sad, since apparently they were the ones that installed the unit that's here now (prior to me purchasing the home) so there should be some excitement for the business. read more

We called Donovan & Jorgenson to do our annual furnace maintenance and could not have been more pleased. Our service was performed by Tony, who was not only highly professional but also extremely courteous and a real pleasure to work with. We will highly recommend this company to anyone who needs furnace or air conditioning work. Their commitment to service excellence and customer service is second to none. read more

Our experience was excellent. We lost our furnace in the Milwaukee floods a few weeks ago, and Phil was amazing at getting us a quote, helping us choose what we needed, and then making sure we were satisfied. We received our furnace sooner than expected, which was wonderful! The team they sent out was quick, friendly, and worked seamlessly together. We obtained other quotes, and while they weren't the least expensive, I felt very comfortable with the price. Highly recommend! read more

Called for heat being out on our residential hydronic boiler system. The technician misdiagnosed the problem as being a mercury flame sensor that is no longer made. He said a kit could be used to replace this sensor and several other required components. The cost of the kit would be $1900 plus several hours of labor to install. I called another HVAC company for a second opinion. This technician said the pump isn't running and that's what's causing the issues. He replaced the pump and was done in a little over an hour. He also purged the air out of the system. Now all the radiators are working, and the house is toasty. Lastly, I saved at least $1500 by getting another opinion. read more

I have lived in my house for four years. My drapes generally move slightly when I have the AC or heat on. Our heat stopped working, and Ross spent 1:45 working on the furnace.  My drapes are practically floating away now. And you gave us a fair price. And Ross explained things to us.  AND I'm damn happy and now toasty. Thank you for having Ross in your employ. He needs a RAISE. read more

We hired Donovan and Jorgenson to add mini-splits to our 1960's mid century home and they did an absolutely phenomenal job from start to finish! We worked with Adam on the sales side to get our project quoted. He went above and beyond to help us understand our options. He was very thorough and detailed in his quoting process, transparent about prices and was available for all of our questions throughout the process. He assisted us in coordinating with our contractor who needed to repair the exterior where the original 1960's A/C vent was being removed which made the entire process seamless and pain free. Their crew was very respectful and quiet which is important for my husband and I as we both work from home. When problems arose they addressed them with us ASAP. They did a really wonderful job at making all the units look very tidy and symmetrical and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them if you need any heating and cooling services! 10/10 read more

I am a AC contractor in the Florida Keys. My Mother in Law lives in German Town WI. This company has been servicing my in laws for 30 plus years. The recent smoke from the Canada fires has drifted to the Great Lakes area and my 90 year old mother in law was having a terrible time breathing due to the smoke. Mike in the sales department went out personally and installed the proper equipment to help her breath. She is so please and happy with this company. I spoke with Mike and they have amazing Customer Experience!!! Thank you so much for taking the time and the compassion. read more

We had a new boiler installed and had some challenges with consistent temps on two levels. They continued to work to resolve the issue, and now everything is working as it should. The staff from office to techs all the way to the president were great to work with. Will definitely use them again as needs arise read more

While I was house sitting the heat went out resulting in the inside temperature dropping to 48 degrees. On top of that, it was a Saturday evening. Oh boy I thought, here comes the emergency rates. I called the sticker on the furnace and that company told me they wouldn't be able to get to me until Monday. I wasn't chancing frozen pipes so I hopped on Yelp and looked for another option. Donovan & Jorgenson had some positive reviews and a claimed Yelp profile so I took a chance and called them. They picked up quick, were extremely professional, and could have someone out to me in the morning. Sold! In the morning technician Al called me and let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue in short order, made the fix, and showed me what the issue was. Now here comes the part I was dreading, the bill. To my surprise it was much, much lower than I had anticipated. Score! I am grateful for the prompt and friendly service and strongly recommend Donovan & Jorgenson. read more

Greg was very professional and knew his stuff about HVAC! Would recommend. Just typing a few extra words to meet the character minimum.

Called to ask about installing a whole home dehumidifier and the sales rep spoke very plainly and clearly to me about waiting to see if one was necessary. The honesty with Steve is phenomenal. I then asked about maintenance on the HVAC unit itself and they were extremely helpful in telling me about their annual maintenance plan where they'll come out every 6 months to clean the furnace for the winter, and the condenser coil for the summer. I just got my furnace cleaned with them and was very pleased with the before and after. The gentleman showed me all the parts that were cleaned, he was very respectful of my house, and even helped seal up a few air gap leaks along the duct work (which they didn't install, another company needed up and installed a leaky system). My only concern would be that they don't clean the A-coil when they do the summer AC tune-up. Otherwise, I'm on their annual maintenance plan now and will be very happy to see the results come time summer! read more

They promised to call back to send someone out for an estimate. I never heard from them again.

I didn't hire them, but I tried to. I had an appointment with Phil and he must have been way early, I wasn't there yet. He didn't call to confirm or ask if I was there. I tried to call him and got voicemail, not surprising and normal. However in spite of leaving messages and calling the office multiple times over the next week he never called me back. read more

This is a great company for your heating and cooling needs. We have used them for over 25 years for maintaining our systems. Last month they installed a new furnace and air conditioner. It was a downpour all day but the workers were extremely clean and protected our flooring. When they were done you would not know they were there. They were friendly, efficient and professional. read more

This is the second time I've used Donovan & Jorgenson. The first time my heat went out, this week it was my AC. Both times they were ready at the drop of a hat and beat the competition cost wise (especially given the unusual hours I've had to call). The repair man was extremely friendly (and knowledgeable) and helped me assess the most efficient way to remedy the situation without trying to oversell me. You don't realize how much you miss your heat/air until you don't have it! Grateful for the prompt and friendly service. read more

Donovan & Jorgenson came out to tune up my Grandfather's furnace just last week. The heat was working when they came. It was no longer working when they left. I had my air conditioner system tune up by another air conditioning contractor. After the tune up my system did not cool my home. I waited several weeks. I had same contractor come out and was told my system was in fine working order. Several weeks later I tried using my system to cool my home without any success. I then called Donovan & Jorgenson HVAC and James the technician diagnosed the problem. He replaced several parts and now my central air system is working to perfection! Thank you to Adam from Donovan & Jorgenson for an honest and informative service visit, and saving me thousands of dollars. I called them for a second opinion after I had a large company with flashy commercials with family and children in them inspect my furnace after it stopped working. That company told me I needed a new furnace and there was a danger of my heat exchanger leaking carbon monoxide any many other issues, they were selling fear and lies. Adam inspected my furnace and showed me each area that the other company said was an issue, and I quickly found that the other company had lied about all of the problems and my furnace needed only a small repair to be running fine. I have past experience in this field so it was easy to see what Adam was telling me was true and I had nearly been scammed by that other large company. Donovan & Jorganson is the company I will always call, Adam saved me from purchasing a new furnace from the scamming company. read more

Can't say enough about Donovan & Jorgenson. They answered the phone shortly after 7am with assurances that even though they were busy as it's summer time, they could resolve our issue. Our AC unit had gone out in the night and being new to the area we got lucky by coming across a glowing review. They asked us questions about our issue and called me back with updates on an ETA and the name of the Tech who would be arriving. John arrived promptly, and was more than courteous and friendly. He was efficient and went the extra mile to check if our AC unit was under warranty. Our dogs, who are excellent judges of people, absolutely loved him. There rates were very fair and stated up front. Thank you, John! read more

I Had a replacement A/C done on 7/6/2022. They did a great job. I had spoke with my Rep Steve & wanted a few more things done. He gave me his Card & told me to call him. I used them several years ago for an air conditioning repair. The service was prompt and reasonable for a Sunday repair. I called them in late summer, again for an air conditioning repair. My call was never returned. Today I called them for a furnace repair. I first sent an email, which was not answered. When I call I had to spoke to three office personal before I got an answer. The last person I talked to, Mindy, took all the information and asked if I had ever used them before. I guess that must be important. She checked and found my phone number and told me that the next available technician would call me back. No suggestion of setting up an appointment and seven hours later I have not been acknowledged by a technician. I know this may not be a big job and new furnaces are what make money, but repairs are important, too. I would never call them again. To not even get a phone call back the same day is just poor business practice. read more

We have used Donovan Jorgensen for years to keep our heating and air conditioning running efficiently. We discovered our air conditioning had quit on a hot and muggy day in September. My service request was handled with courtesy and expedience! Cost was reasonable. Repairman Jordan, was knowledgeable and efficient.

I woke up this morning very cold and discovered the furnace was not working. I called around for a furnace repair company and decided on Donovan & Jorgenson. Their reviews were good (on their web page) and my husband said "they have been around so they must be good". And he was right, our furnace is fixed but needs another part. The cost wasn't bad at all compared to other places. They will be coming back to replace the diaphragm with no added service charge. Our furnace was running by noon and my fingers are warming up. The tech was very knowledgeable and quick. Good Job Donovan &Jorgenson. read more
