Today's shopping experience felt very unprofessional. First, one staff member helped me get the wine, but after a while she said she was handing it over to someone else because she hadn't rung it up yet--just a complete waste of time. Then a younger male staff member checked me out, and when I asked whether there were any vouchers, he said they have never offered vouchers for purchases over 99. Were the vouchers I received before just my imagination?!! Overall, the staff here seem very unprofessional.

Not sure if the date on the box indicates manufacture date, but 3/26/2025 definitely passed. Taken 8/12/2025

This is usually my go to 99 ranch supermarket as it always has consistent Asian food items that I usually look for, as well as some additional things such as a beef jerky and a small bakery. The pricing always seems fair and the associates are friendly enough, although I usually prefer to go through the self pay kiosk area since I usually have less than 10 items. The mango ice cream that's been going viral lately looked like the packaging might've been expired, which made me second-guess it a bit. Not totally sure, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. Other than that, everything else was fine and I'd still say it was a pretty good visit.

Parking can be a hassle. As for the actual store though, the selection here is great and everything always seems to be in stock. The layout is easy to navigate and it's easy to lose track of time shopping here! The staff could be a tad friendlier but it's nothing bad. They're just not as welcoming and jovial as I expected them to be. Especially during the holidays. During checkout, only one lane was open so there was a line. Thankfully they have enough self-checkouts that I didn't have to wait. Overall I had a pleasant experience here and look forward to visiting again!

2/15/25 I smelled this as soon as I walked inside the market (DURIAN!!!!) Now voted my newest, least favorite branch-- it is cramped (people giving me a close shave as they whiz past me), narrow aisles (too many boxes & other merchandise in corners making it more chaotic & cramped), staff (cashier not smiling or greeting me at check out, not even a thank you).... Overall NOT pleasant experience. At least she bagged my purchases though. Parking is plentiful but also smaller stalls. They get 3 stars for making the grade. Basic.

Self checkout without bags because they do not want to risk people taking a bag without paying the $0.10.

This location has hard to navigate narrow aisles and often lacking in inventory, but this not my reasoning for this negative review. The self check out process is atrocious and ridiculous. The scales are too sensitive to the point that if a single onion rolls off the scale the entire transaction is stopped for an attendant to assist. Once the attendant comes, they search through and scrutinize all your items. The attendants also constantly looks over your shoulder up close and do not understand the concept of personal space. This is all to make sure nothing goes unscanned. Adding the the frustration they do not offer bags. You need to complete your transaction, pay, and request a bag from the attendant. The explanation is they do not want to risk people taking a bag with out paying the $0.10 bag fee. Loss prevention is important, but do so with some more tact and dignity. If somebody wants to steal something they can just walk out in plain sight and the store is instructed to let them go, but they rather go out of their way to scrutinize honest customers at the shelf checkout and treat people with suspicion. If you don't trust your customers, open a few more registers and do not use self checkout. This store needs to learn to treat customers with respect and dignity. Stop embarrassing yourself and Asian businesses by presenting yourself as a cheap and lacking social etiquette.

This grocery market is located in a busy plaza with large shared parking lot. They carry variety of deli, fruits, meat, seafood, and other stuff, although the restroom is very gross and lack of maintenance.

We stopped by on a Friday before noon, originally just planning to grab some frozen black cod. But while browsing the market, we spotted sea bream, which is much harder to come by, so we ended up picking up about 1.6 lbs ($35/lb). Haven't tried it yet, but will definitely update this review once we do. This review is actually for the bar seating area, which I believe operates as a separate restaurant under the same owner. You get to taste sushi made from the same fresh seafood being sold in the market. Of course I can't talk about the food without talking about the prices. They have a Happy Hour menu (the green one -- see photos), and when we went, they were also running a BOGO deal on several items and one being black cod $10 for 4 pieces. Such a steal. The slices were on the thinner side, but the quality was still amazing, especially for the price point. Fresh, clean flavors, and you can tell the fish is high quality. I totally wish we could've tried more items, but we had just eaten lunch beforehand. The employees and the owner, I think, was really friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Between the market and the bar, this place is a win. I'll definitely be coming back, both for the fresh fish selection and for a sit down.

There's limited parking in the back of the building and only big enough for smaller compact cars. They have several buckets of fish sitting on ice chips, lining the middle of the store. When I was choosing my fish from their ice buckets, I thought they looked a little extra slimy but against my better judgment just gave it a shot anyway. I liked the single-serve salmon portions, as well as ready-to-heat-and-eat meals that Amazon Fresh had. Someone recommended that I check out Wild Fork - also on Brookhurst (at Adams) - so off I went! I stopped by on an early Sunday morning - so luckily, the parking lot was practically empty, as was the store. Immediately upon entering I noticed how bright and clean the store was, wide aisles, everything was organized in its own little section. I started off on one corner and just browsed my way through. Nina - one of the store clerks here - chanced upon me and asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her it was my first time - and she took it from there! Extremely friendly, warm and welcoming - she explained the store's color coded system, pointing out the exotic meats section (they have alligator/crocodile here!!), beef - including wagyu, pork, sausages (they literally have two freezer sections of sausage/chorizo), meals/appetizers, and my favorite section - seafood/fish. After I shared with her my sadness over Amazon Fresh closing - especially because I liked their single-serve salmon portions - Nina pointed out their salmon offerings, and mentioned that their salmon portions are also single-serve, flash frozen (so they stay fresh longer) - but showed me how they were individually wrapped within their own packaging. I picked up a few salmon entrees based off Nina's recommendations, and my own tastes. I know a few people have raved about their frozen pasta meals - so I grabbed a few of those boxes too. Checkout was a breeze - Nina helped me at checkout and shared that the store occasionally has BBQs on the weekends. Wild Fork is definitely a new favorite - hoping to come back and check out the other offerings depending on how everything I bought turns out!
