We used to travel to Southern California or Nevada to go to these discount stores. So glad to have them much closer nowadays. We checked all of the standard items we love and actually found some new things. We bought some half rulers so they could fit into the desired size of box we use to send these to children at the holidays. We are huge into Lego bricks, so I, of course, bought us a few of our favorite larger than a shoebox plastic storage containers. Definitely worth stopping in to make some purchases when you are in the area. Terrific products at a great value and friendly, helpful employees to help you.

This was a whimsical visit after enjoying lunch at Panera Bread. Curious about this Japanese company I sauntered inside I saw a bright new store with vibrant colors and numerous well laid out long isles largely running front to back. Lots of things to take after a gaze and for a photo. Then there were the kitchen wares, a new set of four chopsticks for work, food products, Roman's, noodles, drinks, candies that interested me. I ended up with some kitchen drawer organizers, a few drinks, some candy to try and my chopsticks. Value 4/5 It is hard for me to compare to the fantastic variety of quality big box Pacific Rim grocery stores and malls we have in the east valley where I typically buy in bulk. But for a neighborhood convenience market it's probably a good value. Service 3/5 Fast & Friendly service. For a newbie first visitor someone could have welcomed me and introduced me to their store. They were completely out of bags for bagging your purchases so off I went juggling what I did buy. You neighborhood Japanese store my friends-SYOY!

I always say I'm just going to look but always end up buying something. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted which was very nice and there was a coffee and tea sample section. I decided to sample Harney & Son's invigorating peach flavored black tea. I'm not a tea person but it was so good! I could really taste the sweet peaches with each sip so ended up buying some. Samples never fail haha. I love the wide variety of furniture, home decor and gifts throughout the store. My favorite section though is their amazing food and snack section from all over the world. There is especially an insane amount of Asian food, snacks, and condiments. Chances are pretty good I will find something I've never seen before like the Korean Ramen Crate that has 8 different types of Korean instant noodles with 2 pairs of chopsticks. How cool! I did refrain from buying it as I kept telling myself that's just a lot of unhealthy carbs:) It was still fun to discover it. They also have 2 kinds of memberships so you can save money. The explorer membership gives 15% off the first purchase and 5% back in reward points. Premier membership gives 30% off first purchase and 10% back in reward points which I think is very generous.

The only issue I have with the stores in general is the very small aisle room which leaves customers trying to shimmy around each other or dodging each other while also trying not to bump into anything fragile in the process. I was and am generally always happy with the prices as well, they're reasonable and much less than other stores. I see the wonderful Halloween things right away upon walking in and I was like a kid in a candy store. For me Halloween is my favorite holiday so my eyes light up like I am a kid again. Going down the aisles I could see that they were still stocking things and there would be more to come, but there was enough to keep me interested and scouring the aisles for what I wanted this shopping trip. The aisles were clean and clear, and the employees were nice whether they were in the store on the floor or at the cash register, which made the experience very pleasant. It's always so tempting with all of the ghouls and goblins and skeletons and pumpkins galore. Today I left with some cobwebs for my fireplace mantle for only $2.99 wow! What a deal!! We ended up leaving with a mantle decoration, but they already had everything from the giant skeletons and yard decorations to a few inflatables and plenty of indoor décor. The store was clean, easy to walk through, and the cashier was nice and friendly, which made for a pleasant checkout. Their prices are kind of a mixed bag. About half the time you find something and think, "That's a really good price," and the other half you're thinking it's a little more expensive than you expected. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because it seems like a lot of their larger decorations end up with some kind of damage. If you're buying one of the bigger items, it's worth taking a few minutes to dig through the stock and find the one in the best condition. Other than that, it's a fun place to browse, especially if you're ready to start decorating for Halloween way too early like we are.
