If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. To start with they were able to fit us in with very short notice. The job before us ran a little bit later than expected but that worked out OK because it gave us more time for the last minute packing. When they got to our house they stayed until everything was moved even though they finished at 10 o'clock at night. They all seem to remain in a good mood even though it was so late. The move started with a scene out of sitcom. The movers knocked over a post holding up mine and my neighbors mailbox. The crew did an okay job moving items but took a few breaks during the day but had the audacity to charge me for break time and time it took to "repair" the post. They didn't even apologize or offer to fix it. Had to call a supervisor at their main line to have them address it. And by address it, they dug a hole and put the wooden beam sheared off into the ground. Lastly, I found some damage to furniture after getting a closer look. First time moving using a moving company, and I was really impressed. I'll never do it myself again. From the very beginning I got a quick quote with prompt responses throughout the entire process even though I was a bit needy. I had some issues with the closing of my new home and Jessie in the front office was so quick to handle all of my needs. Five stars from start to finish. I started by calling the office and spoke to Maria who is so easy to work with. She was warm, knowledgeable, and provide a quote to me quickly. Their pricing was also good as well. Don't bother shopping around wasting your time with other people giving you a lowball initial offer and then having it much higher in the end. I have done many many moves and have encountered that, but not with 925 Movers. 925 Movers instead give an hourly price and was much more honest than any other mover. Before the move they emailed asking which large pieces we needed to be moved to go ahead and gauge the equipment needed for it. Julio and is teammates are professional and were exceptional in every detail of our move from San Francisco to Sacramento. They showed up on time, prepared and energetic. The move was about 12 hours and they kept the same attention to detail (moving up to a second floor apartment) at every moment. I had a VERY different experience than the rest with this company, and I'm sure those reviews were before they cut ties with part of their management team. Like others I had researched moving companies and received quotes from several of them. I had felt reassured by 925 Movers when speaking with Cirilo & describing my move, going over items, sending pictures, and then receiving a quote and confirmation for the date of my move over 3.5 weeks in advance. This was a local move from one single story house in Livermore to another in Livermore, not complicated, but we had a lot of big items to move. Two days before my move I sent an email to confirm our move and time frame (Saturday between 8-8:30am). The following day I received a call from their secretary Jessie to ask me if she could push my time to 1-2pm because they were overbooked. I was not comfortable with that because I was quoted 6-7 hrs for our move and that would put us well into the evening that we'd be done, she agreed and said the crew would be there 8-8:30 am as per my booking. About 30 minutes later I received a call from Gerardo who said he was supervising my move, trying to explain to me over spotty reception that Cirilo had messed up the system and had overbooked for that weekend and they would not be able to come out until 1pm. I then called the main number to 925 movers and reached Cirilo who sounded inebriated and confused as to what was going on and said he would figure it out and hung up. About 45 minutes later I received a call from Jessie the secretary explaining that Cirilo was no longer with the company and that they were indeed overbooked and my time would need to be pushed back to 1-2pm but reassuring me that I would be taken care of, that I would receive a 4 man crew instead of a 3 man and that Julio would be there overseeing as well. At 26 weeks pregnant and overwhelmed with this back & forth news, I just needed someone to show up to move our home. The next day was the day of our move and the movers didn't show up until 2:45, Julio was not there but we had 4 men. While I wish I could give the movers themselves 5 stars it was clear that they were tired from the move before and our move took a total of almost 8 hrs (2 truck loads and 2 round trips) and did not finish until close to 10:30pm. When it came time for payment Gerardo told us Julio would be charging us the non cash rate because we were originally quoted for 3 movers at the cash rate and received 4 movers so the 4th mover was being discounted. At this point my husband and I were drained and it wasn't worth questioning, even though we were the ones being completely inconvenienced due to their poor management, so we paid in cash and were done with it. After all it wasn't the movers fault, it was management. I felt for Gerardo and his team, because my husband and I calculated they must have easily worked an over 15hr day. The only positive thing that I can say is they did show up, they worked as fast as they could, they covered our furniture and protected the entrance of our brand new flooring in our new house. Having been a longtime resident of the Tri Valley/East Bay Area I wanted to support a local business, but it's clear that I will not be recommending them or use them again for future moves. I never once received or had communication with Julio who apparently is the sole owner/manager now and that speaks volumes to me about the way this company is managed. I'd definitely reconsider using 925 movers. read more

These guys were fantastic! Cris, Ambrosio, and Marvin showed up promptly within our arrival window and got straight to work wrapping up our furniture. They took great care in making sure everything was protected from damage with pads and plastic wrap. The last movers we used before 925 literally just carried my bedframe up the stairs, banging into each step! Not these guys though! They treated our home as their own. They literally rolled out the red carpet for us (to protect the floors). They were quick and efficient and only just went over our minimum time limit. My partner and I were marveling the entire time at how good these guys were, especially since they were the most affordable option we found. My experience with 925 Movers was absolutely perfect, and it was all because of Chris and Ambrosia! They deserve so much recognition here, and I hope they are being compensated extremely well. I may have underestimated the amount of stuff I had when I called in the job, and so they sent two men when there should have been three. I also underestimated the weight of many items, but nothing was too heavy for Chris and Ambrosia, who I later deemed "the magicians." First of all, they arrived right on time and gave a courtesy call about 20 mins beforehand, they were very polite, very careful with my items, extremely efficient, and extremely good at packing items into small spaces. They literally filled all 26 feet of their truck ceiling high, then did the same when they unloaded everything into my storage unit. I thought many of the items should have required a forklift or 4 men, but they moved everything, up and down stairs, and with no complaints. Literally, giant steel file cabinets completely full, large dressers completely full, large appliances, etc. They only took two 10 minute breaks to eat as far as I know, and ended up working for me 10-11 hours, then went off to return the truck, etc. And again, no complaints, just a positive upbeat attitude. Lastly, I'll mention that even though I gave them a scatterbrained explanation of what went into storage and what went into our temporary apartment when they first arrived, expecting they would forget everything and ask me a question every 5 minutes, they remembered EVERYTHING. Not a single item ended up where it wasn't supposed to be. I could go on but I'll stop here and just say that I'll definitely be recommending 925 Movers to all of my friends and family, and will of course be using them again in the future. Kudos! read more
