I needed my heater fixed and called 911 Heating Cooling & plumbing. They have helped me out before and I was not displeased this time, either. They were called to do an inspection for our new home buyers. When they arrived they were not wearing masks when they approached my door. They banged on my door almost 3 minutes straight waking up both of my twins. They didn't need anything from me and instead said they wanted to confirm who I was? So unprofessional. I found about 911 when selling my rental home as it was the company used by the buyer's home warranty company. I thought they did a great job repairing the A/C unit (original unit when home was built in 2000) and at a reasonable price. Fast forward, we are purchasing another rental unit, the inspection comes back saying the A/C is not working. Our inspection period is coming to an end and I call 911 asking if there is anyway they can get out to do an inspection in the next few days. They say, we can have someone out there today! AC went out about midnight. Called at 0830, had technician at house by 1030, fixed by 1230. Capacitor bad in one unit, replaced both capacitors just to be safe. I was very satisfied with the availability and response time when I had an a/c issue at my home. The technician was very friendly and completed my repair very quickly. I did not give 5 stars because I found the repair to be too expensive. My a/c needed a capacitor which was marked up around 5 times and the service call was about the same price as the part. Bottom line, a 10 minute repair cost about $20/minute. However, I feel comfortable calling them again in the future. read more

Lately I have started all my reviews the same way "Once again my fellow yelpers steered me in the right direction." Well, they did it again. I needed a plumber for a few projects in my newly purchased home. 1. Install whole house water softener. 2. Install sink in laundry room where there was none. 3. Install reverse osmosis filter under kitchen sink. 4. Fix two sinks in master bath. Howard showed up as promised to make the site visit and quote. He was very personable and easy to communicate with. He explained well the options and we discussed the best way to go. i did not feel that he pushed me to a solution I was unfamiliar with or unwilling to take. The quote came in, not as a formal document, but as a text on my phone. I might have taken off 1/2 star for this, but I decided the pluses over came this minor faux pas. At first the quote overwhelmed me until I started looking up prices for the devices he included in the quote and I then soon realized the quote was quite good and I gave to go ahead to move forward. Howard's guys (including his son) showed up on the day as promised and got all the work done. The worked a solid 8 hours and I was able to trust them with the house and a checkbook. The cleaned up their work areas, left the appropriate documents and manuals and all is good in the world. Once again, I have met a small businessman who is doing a wonderful job providing quality technical service with great customer service. Howard was one of three contractors I had bid for replacement of my direct vent water heater in the home I own. His rates were the most reasonable. He always answers his phone. He is straight to the point and won't give you the runaround. His prices are good. His son came out and did the job. They pointed out in a diplomatic fashion some of the errors made in the original plumbing of the home and corrected them without an additional charge (it was an elbow that was installed backwards). I called today late morning, Howard returned my call within an hour and was able to be at my house within the next two hours. Thankfully!!! My son is having his 4th birthday this weekend and it's going to be a large gathering so we need all bathrooms in working order. I gave him background on what I thought it was. He tried to push the blockage through with his 6ft auger and no luck. With my permission he pulled the toilet up and he showed me the blockage he found. It was some sort of cylinder shaped filter that came from a shampooer I rented from frys. I remember hearing a thunk when I dumped the dirty water out from the shampooer... The toilet had never worked the same until today. Now I know something definitely fell out into the toilet. Howard removed it and went on to finish his business and replaced the wax seal etc. He was done within an hour total. Howard was efficient, honest, friendly and knowledgable. He even gave me some info that I hadn't known before. Thanks to his work, he completed the task at hand quickly and efficiently. I'm beyond happy with the service I received from Howard this afternoon and when I need help in the future I will give him a call. (I have 3 boys 4 & under, so I'll prob need his services again in the future.) The price was reasonable for what he had to do & his time. I don't feel like I was taken advantage of either. It's so difficult to get a company to show up when they say let along not take your savings. I used this company before to fix toilet excellent Wk great price. Sun came Hm and said let me call for a/c ck I actually got a live person on the phone at 9pm Set appointment for next day. Than after I hung up I realized my house was hot!! Come to find out a/c until wasn't working. Called back and the same person had a tech come out within an hr. REALLY?? Well it gets better... Guy shows up fixes my a/c replaced part to get a/c back running and didn't take me for a loop. I'm very pleased with this company. Their a needle in a haystack as they say. HORRIBLE communication on their end!!! I had 911 Heating, Cooling & Plumbing recommended through the inspection company I was using so I thought it would be okay. I was expected to get a sewer scope one day and found out through another source that they were to reschedule. Ummmm, were you not going to call me and tell me this? I had to call Scott to find out when he was going to come back. While on the phone with him he made it seem that I was inconveniencing him by calling. The day of the sewer scope there was no communication from him. I was expecting to hear after he had gone to the house, but AGAIN I had to be the one to call (inconveniencing him as well this time). I will definitely be using a different company in the valley should I need anything fixed as the professionalism from this encounter was 100% not there. read more

Scott was amazing. He showed up on time wearing a mask and worked very hard to get my drain unclogged. It was quite a feat since my kitchen had been renovated several years ago and a new downspout had been added to the inner pipes which is where the clog was. Unfortunately we couldn't know that until he opened up the wall and was then able to clear the clog for me. So one of the downsides to owning a place... you pay for anything that breaks! I had (what ended up NOT to be an emergency) for the kitchen sink. Right in the middle of cooking dinner, water starts coming out from the cabinets underneath. Great. I'm hungry and now I'm irritated... We actually called another handyman for a referral and he suggested we call these guys - specifically Howard. I wasn't too sure if I'd be able to get someone out right away, but Howard was the man and made it happen! We called him around 6pm and he showed up shortly after. He was very knowledgeable and really upfront about how much everything would cost. Howard came out and got the job done quickly and answered all my questions with a friendly attitude. The work was excellent and he even took some time to inspect some other items I was concerned with. Rather than offering to "fix" something that that I likely would have paid for, Howard was honest and let me know that everything looked okay and repairs were not necessary. Contacted Sean at Renaissance after doing a Yelp search for a plumber. I had a foul odor problem at my business and wanted a second opinion. Sean was able to swing by that day and take a look. We scheduled a time for him to return to do some additional diagnostics and Sean was communicative and on-time. Upon returning, he recommended to start small and replace the toilet seal and he was right, it was the source of the odor. The previous installers had used the wrong size seal. Not only did Sean replace the seal that day and fix my problem but he beat the other guy on price. No fuss, no issues, just a smooth repair, and best of all, no more odor!
