They have boneless wings on Thursdays now! I swung by on a quick lunch break and picked some up to go. I took Jace's advice and went with the Hot Honey & Garlic. I got back in my car, and they smelled delicious! I couldn't wait to get back to work and open those up. They were absolutely phenomenal! Everyone at work kept coming back and asking what smelled so good... I definitely sent them your way! Thanks for all of the great food and great service, between 8te and Atlas's. I kinda plan my weekends around which one of your places I'm going to eat at. If I'm off work, I'm definitely looking at 8te and Atlas's first! read more

If you're in the mood for some solid comfort food, this is the place to go! If I lived closer, I would definitely visit on the regular. The shop is lowkey with a nice vibe catering to all ages. Folks order at the front, and you can see the cooks frying up chicken from scratch behind the counter. Shout out to whoever was on music duty, because the (mostly) rock tunes playing over the speakers were great! They specialize in fried chicken, and with so many great options it was hard to choose. We opted for the KT's Hot chicken sandwich, the 1848 2.0 shaved steak sandwich, and the Korean loaded fries. The sandwiches are massive and possibly a fork & knife situation. The chicken sandwich was crispy, definitely spicy, and loaded with sauce. By comparison, the steak sandwich paled a bit, as the meat was a bit tough and light on the yummy balsamic sauce. I really enjoyed the fries, which were crispy and very well seasoned. The loaded fries, however, were a show stopper and highly addictive. The ground beef on top was super tender with the most delicious kimchi aioli. The creamy coleslaw was made with a slightly sweet mayo and perfectly complemented the heat. I'm drooling thinking about these! We left full with leftovers for later. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

Food is spectacular with large servings. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about their menu.

My daughter and I were dropping off my son at college. We were traveling from Houston, Texas. He and his roommate's family decided to eat here and we joined them. The food was amazing! Worth every single dollar!! The service was fast! The menu is written on a chalkboard on the wall and you can decide what you want while waiting in line to order. Once you place your order, they take your name, you find a table and wait for your name to be called to let you know your food is ready. The drinks are separate and have free refills while dining in. This will be a place to go when we visit Quincy again!!! read more

This was a solid chicken sandwich! Savory, tasty, wonderful. The spot is nothing too special. That's not to be a slight. It's just simple. Large space, you order at the front and they call your name. But it was a *very* good sandwich! read more

Smashburger Friday! Had a Smedley Bulter burger and it rocked! Just the right amount of meat, heat, and sweet! ...and of course it came with their legendary (delicious) fries! Will have to come back and try their other burger combinations! read more

Loved trying 8te Open on my visit to Quincy! This is a great spot, staff were friendly upon arriving. We ordered a full order of the poutine fries which is plenty to share for 2-3 people. You can also get half orders. The sandwiches looked great, I'd love the try the chicken sandwich (Coach Wosman) next time, everything looked great leaving the kitchen. Plenty of indoor seating, my only feedback is to provide pricing on the menu as you walk in and I wish they had a microphone to announce names for indoor dining pickup- it was challenging to hear our name once called. Great addition to downtown Quincy! I hope they stick around! read more

Great food! Grilled chicken sandwich with southern white sauce was perfect, love the fries!

Coming back for a review now that they have been open a bit. This place is always hopping, come early, be prepared to wait. Located in downtown, with on-street parking and city lot down the block. Currently the menu is Wed, Thurs, Sat - Chicken options, poutine, salads, and a feature. Friday - Smashburgers and Lent seafood option. The fries might be the best ever! The food is always on point, hot, fresh. Love all the combos and twist in classics. There is a large shared dinning space, larger tables, and smaller tables. Seating can be a premium, please order first so folks aren't left with food and no seat. The staff is amazing and always accommodating. read more

Good food ,good music and atmosphere. Parking can be tough but if you don't mind the walk it's worth it

The place is clean, has large portions, and tasty food. You can't go wrong with any of the chicken sandwiches. Will definitely go back!

First time here, had the ""1848" shaved beef sandwich and fries Fries were some of the very best I've ever had !!! The sandwich was flavorful the Ciabatta roll was great. The arugula salad and the onion flavoring was spot on. Great meal great location. You can't go wrong with this place. read more

Best fries in town! I'm a bigger fan of the smash burgers than the chicken but, honestly, I'm a fan of it all. Can't go wrong with anything you get and service is always phenomenal. Love this place! Come hungry! read more

Update: the owner reached out via email to the groom the day of my review on Facebook. Additionally, the owner blocked me from his business page and his personal account. He deleted my comment AND removed the ability to review his restaurant on Facebook. If you are an honest person, you wouldn't be blocking people and deleting posts. Do not trust him at all. He stood us up on our wedding day. He promised to be there to make the wedding reception dinner (over a year prior). Jared even texted the groom that he would be there less than 2 hours before the wedding and never showed!. Do business with someone better please, save yourself the troubles. I've also included the texts showing he said he would be there and was 2 hours away. read more

Nice place. I enjoyed the perennial salad, but the ginger dressing was a little overpowering. It is the only vegetarian entree I believeThe menu is kind of small, but it looks like they change it often. You order at the counter and pick the food up there as well. The place is well kept and well staffed. I'd recommend checking it out. read more

Cannot explain how excited I was when 8te Open announced they were opening a restaurant! I first had their food when the food truck was at a local Quincy Market a couple years ago. After that, I always looked for their food truck whenever I was at a local market! I live in STL but am in town visiting family and have been wanting to try their Smash Burger Friday and today was my lucky day I ordered the Barney Style Smash Burger (Double Smash Burger, Cheddar Cheese, Pickles, Burger Sauce, Brioche Bun). All burgers come with fries so I was fine with the $13.75 price. I placed my order online and showed up at my designated pickup time. The restaurant was PACKED for lunch when I arrived so I thought for sure I'd have to wait a bit for my food but it was ready aside from adding fresh fries (which I appreciated)! The Burger: At first glance the patties looked like they might be dry, but I was pleasantly surprised when they were nice and juicy. I might have a different idea of what a smash burger is because these patties were thicker than what I typically associate a smash burger with, but thinner than a normal patty. The Burger Sauce was awesome and they didn't skimp on the pickles! The Fries: I am typically not a fan of thicker cut fries but these were beer battered (or similar) so they were nice and crispy with a yummy seasoning! Lots of tables inside! I'll definitely be back to try "dine-in" soon read more

This is a wonderful place with wonderful food. I had a chicken sandwich that was fantastic and husband had a steak sandwich. Fries were about the best I have had. The staff was very friendly. read more

Delicious food and friendly service. It was a very busy night and we had a great experience.

Wow! This food is next level awesome. Highly recommend!! I am excited to visit Quincy again to try more menu options.

Located on the corner of 6th and Maine, 8te open is the best new addition to downtown Quincy. They started as a food truck, and built up a loyal following. Some would call the food categories simple - chicken, burgers and bbq but the way the owner/chef comes up with the various combinations is masterful. The fries by themselves or topped as the disco fries are fantastic. Menu rotates weekly. The restaurant space is very open with multiple tables that seat up to 8, a few smaller tables and one very long family style table. You can order at 8te open and walk down to the brewery. If they aren't busy they will deliver your food. Street parking only however finding a spot is not normally an issue. read more

Great food, portions and great services. I am picky where I eat, and I have been a returning customer!

Was surprised that a place with a pig logo had few pork choices and a lot of chicken choices. Disappointed that it only serves soft drinks, would have been nice to have a beer with the order. read more

Food and service had been good in the past, but this Friday 7/18 it was terrible. Arrived and ordered at 6:20. Did not receive our food until 7:25. The food was not up to the usual high standards. Fries weren't crispy and quality of the sandwiches was fair. Please fix this. read more

Food here is amazing. It's a simple menu but so flavorful and even a little too plentiful in portion size. It's a popular spot so you may need to share a table. Counter service casual with accessible but elegant palate. read more

Pretty poor service and very odd for a place with burgers to not have a classic cheese burger. They were trying. You could tell they had food truck roots as the food was good, but the restaurant side needs a lot of work. read more

Disco fries and the Coach Douglas sandwich, were amazing! Definitely recommend, will be back!

Chicken sandwiches are great! Not a lot of menu variety, but when you do something focused and well, then no complaints. Fries are good too. (that may not seem like a big deal, but it's amazing that many Restaurants can't even get that right) read more
