When workers do show up they do work that is average in quality, although in some cases mistakes were made or omissions to scope occurred, which took a long time to rectify. In some cases those mistakes or omissions were never rectified. Getting someone to come out to my property to do work was a huge challenge. Sometimes workers would show up unannounced, unsure of what it was they were to do. My requests for service, even for work under warranty, were often ignored by the office staff. I have reached the point where it is time to move on and find a company that has an acceptable level of customer focus.

Apparently they are unfamiliar with the fact that they are on Groupon so I had to call back when someone from the company was in the office to get on the schedule. They had availability for two weeks later. I wasn't in a rush so I don't mind the wait. I wasn't scheduled for the 12-4 time window. On the day of I had a work commitment that came up last minute. They were very accommodating when I called so I was pushed further back on the timeslot till after 3 PM so I could be home for the service. The technician Isaiah arrived and informed me what he was going to do. Afterwards he sent me a detailed report with photographs of my gutter system. Thankfully, everything looked good and I did not require any additional services after the cleaning and tuneup.

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. American Window undercut the estimates of the other two vendors by a substantial margin. We also really liked they only asked for a modest down payment. Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic. With new storms predicted over the next few days, I really needed someone who could patch up the exposed area to protect it from further damage. Anne from Classic Exteriors went above and beyond in finding someone who was available to do the job on short notice. (and right before a holiday no less!) Mike "Z" came out, assessed the situation, and offered to reattach the fallen siding instead of covering over the bare wall with Tyvek (which was what they originally planned to do). I was skeptical, given that the siding was damaged in places, but he got right to work and did an excellent job!! He reattached everything and used high strength waterproof tape to seal over the cracked areas. This is definitely more than I'd hoped for and I am very pleased with the results!
