They're usually pretty accommodating, but when I drove in for my a few weeks ago for my online appt, they told me that it would take about 3 hours before they could get to it. Since I couldn't wait that long, I scheduled another appt, for today (20 days later), at 2pm, and they said they could get to it right away and be done in an hour. The actual service here is okay (not great), but they're fairly proficient in expediting the service, once they get to it. One thing that shocked me, was how much the showroom degraded. It used to be a rather clean and convenient place to relax in the past (for a tire service shop). I can't believe they let the floors get this bad. They were covered with dirty scuff marks, and they removed the little coffee table, and the TV wasn't working. Just from a business standpoint, as a customer, when I see how dirty the sales showroom is, it makes me wonder how much care they put into their actual repair service. I'm glad I'm just here for a safety check.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the inconsistency and customer service here. Yesterday, I came in…read moreto buy two new tires and spent over $500. While I was making that purchase, they were more than happy to accommodate a walk-in safety inspection for that vehicle at the same time. Naturally, I thought I'd bring my second car in the very next day to get its safety check done as well. Despite having just dropped over $500 with them less than 24 hours prior, I was completely turned away and told they wouldn't take me as a walk-in for just an inspection. It leaves a really bad taste in your mouth--it feels like they are only willing to magically find the time to "squeeze you in" if you're spending big money on parts and labor. Loyalty and returning business clearly don't mean much here. It's a shame, because I was ready to make this my go-to shop for both of my vehicles, but they just lost a returning customer over a basic safety check.

I had a very poor experience at the Firestone on Hamakua Drive. I paid Firestone $449 for a power…read moresteering service and $148 for a coolant exchange. Shortly after, I found power steering fluid leaking onto my driveway. When I brought it back to Firestone, they attempted to quote me an additional $900 for a new power steering pump, which I suspected was inaccurate. I brought my vehicle and the Firestone invoice to TENN'S on Keolu Drive for a second opinion. They correctly diagnosed the issue as two leaking power steering hoses, which they promptly replaced. My steering is now perfectly normal with no leaks. Furthermore, TENN'S inspected my coolant system and realized Firestone had failed to refill the antifreeze after flushing it. TENN'S pressure-tested the system and correctly topped off all fluids. I am sharing my experience in this post to prevent others from being misled into paying for poor or unnecessary services.

When I got home, I noticed power steering fluid leaking onto my carport and saw the fluid level was at the absolute minimum. I went back to Firestone, and they told me they hadn't actually changed the fluid, but rather replaced a leaky hose. They then claimed the low fluid was due to a bad power steering pump and quoted me an additional $900 to replace it. It just didn't sound right, and I felt they were being dishonest. I took my car to Tenn's for a second opinion and showed them the Firestone invoice. Tenn's quickly found the real issue: two entirely different power steering hoses were leaking. They replaced them, and now my steering is perfect with zero leaks. On top of that, Tenn's inspected my coolant system and found both the radiator and reservoir levels were dangerously low because Firestone failed to properly refill the antifreeze after their flush. Tenn's pressure-tested the system and topped off the fluids for me. Mahalo to Tenn's--they are honest mechanics you can actually trust!

I've tried saving money by going to Discount Tire and other cheaper places, but within a month or two, I'd end up running over something and getting an instant puncture. These two tires have been a completely different experience. They're extremely strong and durable, seriously, they feel like hammer status! They're a little more expensive upfront, but the quality is absolutely worth it because they're built to last and don't feel nearly as fragile as the cheaper tires I've purchased elsewhere. If you're tired of constantly replacing cheap tires and you're ready to actually invest in a quality set that can last, I highly recommend getting your tires from here. Sometimes spending a little more upfront saves you a lot more money and headaches in the long run!

Did my lift here years ago, also this event happened years ago. (review is very late, but started…read morethinking as I saw ads for them on Facebook regularly, people need to be aware of their practice) apparently they didn't tighten the steering knuckle lower 2 bolts on my Tacoma, clearly before I left I saw a thread sticking out on the lower control arm bolts, didn't say anything as I'd thought they'd honor their work, and thought they possibly even messed up the threads on that bolt that was loose which is why it didn't go all the way in, (as a mechanic I'm not going to touch something I'm afraid will break which would turn to my fault, liability is pretty important in the automotive service industry) they reassured me before I left that everything was perfect even though the skid plate wasn't installed as well until I said something, then within less than 6000 miles down the road and within less than a 6 month period, lower control arm came loose and went straight to the floor, took it back to them with a tow truck and they charged me for the labor to replace a lifetime warranty part from rough country as well as a CV axle that got damage due to collateral damage from the bolt coming loose. Clearly they didn't tighten the bolt with their response as "we loctite everything" well loctite only goes a long way when the bolt is torqued with a torqued wrench. A real shop would've comp everything and own up to their mistake and repair it for free due to technician negligence. But that didn't happen, rather just down another couple hundred dollars, around $800-1,000 to fix their mistake. But I mean the lifetime part was free which was great, one company at least honored something. Never coming back here again, neither will ever be involved with this shop ever again. Still have my receipt and can easily warranty stuff yourself on rough country website. Wasn't going to argue with these guys in person as they're pretty intimidated and aggressive when you put them on the spot. So it's easier to result in online reviews and let people know their practice as they're also firm with whatever they say with no room for talk or solution unless I'm guessing legal action is taken or a harsh review is made. They honestly just hungry for money, made the victim an even bigger one.
