Came by for a drink with my wife as we've been looking for a new boba shop to try. I ordered their signature fruit fusion tea and my wife had a classic brown sugar milk tea with boba. I would recommend getting reduced sugar as it seems like this place runs pretty sweet. I got the 25% sugar on the fruit tea and could not imagine what 100% tastes like. They put a lot of fruit in it which is quite nice and the flavor of the tea is quite strong which I love but I wish it were even less sweet. read more

I stopped by for some boba to satisfy a craving and ordered the brown sugar milk tea and the fruit fusion tea. I opted for less sweetness--50% for the brown sugar milk tea and 25% for the fruit fusion tea. However, the fruit fusion tea was still too sweet for my taste. The brown sugar milk tea, on the other hand, was pretty good. It had a stronger tea flavor, which I enjoyed, and the foam on top was a nice touch. Location: on state street - it's a Main Street but there's parking on the side. Inside is cute and lots of seating area. They have a public restroom. They have a cute wall with wings to take a pic. I got a strawberry plum with boba. Flavors came across very strong I can taste the strawberry and that was pleasant. Since I can never get enough Bubble Tea, just had to check out yet another tea bar while in Salt Lake City... Like most, this place also had some cute, gimmicky backdrops...like the colorful wings and the flowery backdrop. Perfectly instagramable! Anyway, this time I wanted to try something Tri-layered, so asked for a mix of Matcha Green Tea, Mango and Milk Tea...with Boba, of course! Although I loved the Green Tea flavor, not sure if it went too well with the Mango. Still deliciously refreshing (and instagramable!), but not the best Bubble Tea I've had. Ventured here for the first time as it had great reviews and I was in the area. Also, was curious because another Yelper said it was better than Kung Fu Tea (which I've never found another place better!) but I wanted to compare! I tried the brown sugar milk tea with boba, and got 100% sugar, which was recommended. The consistency of the drink was pretty good, but the sugar was way way too sweet for 100%. I've gotten this same concoction at other places and their 100% was way less sugar compared to what they served here. It was like drinking diabetes with the amount of sugar they put! So next time I'll do 75% sugar. And I'm a sugar kind of girl in my boba drinks! They also serve smaller ice here with the drink (closer to pebble ice size, so I would've liked to have added more ice in my drink. Next time, I'm also going to request more milk in the drink. The decor is pretty good inside - quite clean, but there are areas you can see from the lobby (that I didn't take pics of) that needed to be put together, tidied up, or make better as in presentation. Also, one complaint - their straws (at least the one they gave me with my drink) was a bit too narrow for my bobas to slide smoothly in. I've had to suction the straw pretty hard in order for my bobas to come up! They kept getting stuck inside the straw!! Overall - a good fist time experience. They do offer a frequent diner card. However the outside sign (and curb appeal (from the inside parking lot) was lacking. I'm hoping next time I visit that they actually have a more permanent, inviting, appealing sign to invite others in. read more

When they get busy they get disorganized as they try and serve the Pho Saigon Noodle House 2 first and then work on local line. Coincidentally both places are under the same owner. FINALLY a boba place closer to South Jordan! I eat at Pho Saigon next door all the time so I was pretty excited during grand opening of 7 Buddha. They do offer a stamp card which is nice considering how often my friends and I frequent this boba shop. I'm from Orange County, CA so I grew up spoiled with a ton of good boba shops at almost every corner. 7 Buddha is definitely up to bar with some of the boba shops back home. I like that there is plenty of seating and board games as well. My go to is always the pennywort coconut mung bean drink with boba, less ice, and 25% sweet! I love that they allow you to customize your drinks for the sweetness and amount of ice. However, just know that if you ask for less ice you'll notice they don't fill the drink to the top. I am used to boba shops back in CA filling it up to the top even when asking for less ice. I would have given them 5 stars, but their drinks are definitely on the more pricey side. My pennywort drink with boba is already close to $8, that's the price of a whole meal somewhere! One thing I like about 7 Buddha being next door to Pho Saigon is that while you're eating at Pho Saigon you can place an order for your boba from 7 Buddha and they'll bring it to you while you're eating. I think they might be the same owner or something so that's convenient! read more

They've got a lovely backdrop with a swing type of chair for an instagram worthy post, and solid cups! I really like their Pinky Lychee drink. It has a cream cheese topping, glass jelly, aloe and yummy tea that's not too sweet. You can even tone down the sweetness if you prefer and add additional toppings for an extra charge. As soon as I see a new boba place opened up, you know I will be there. This place is cute and clean little cafe. Everyone here is super friendly as well, but they do have a couple of kinks to work out like all new places. This is one of those cafes that have dedicated photo booth areas - kind of reminded me of those cafes in New York or San Francisco. The owner of the cafe also owns the pho place next door. So if you ever go next door to eat and order a boba drink, it's coming from the cafe. The boba here is good. I got the kumquat drink. This is where it got a bit confusing, cause apparently not all drink comes with boba, so if you'd like boba with your drink it's extra. They don't really have it labeled with one have boba or not, so if your drink comes with boba and you tell them boba they will add extra boba and charge you, without telling you. Make sure you ask before you say boba. My kumquat drink was good. It was sweet with a slight salty and bitterness from the pickled kumquat. We also ordered green tea egg waffles. It was good. The perfect sweetness to go with everything. Totally recommend this place to go hang out with friends and even study. read more

First of all, if you order light ice or no ice, expect to see a 4/5 filled cup. They intentionally leave room for ice. Fruit fusion is tasty. I do recommend it. Ordered light ice but still got 1/2 cup of ice. Smh. However, they still put decent amount of fruits. That's a bonus. Roasted oolong is extremely bitter. Ordered no ice but it came out hot..... Good thing is they use real tea. Downside is cannot taste the milk or non-dairy powder at all. Mainly the bitter tea taste. Instead of calling it roasted oolong milk tea, I think roasted oolong tea is more accurate. They two drinks we ordered do not come with toppings. Had to add boba for $0.5. Price is fair. Reasons I'm leaving 3 stars: 1) what kind of milk tea is it when you can't taste the milk? 2) do you really have to leave room for ice? Though I was born and raised nearby, I've lived in California for most of my life, and I have to say 7Buddha is one of the best spots I've checked out in the Salt Lake area. There's a wide variety of authentic tea options, toppings (especially grass jelly -- one of my favorites), and flavors. As someone who likes more fruity drinks, I had a lot of options I wanted to try, and I settled with the honey lemon green tea; the tea had great tea quality and perfect sweetness. I was delighted to see all of the dessert drink options (Che), which looked spectacular and a lot like what we get in California. Now, there are other staff members who make them and it's still really good! DRINKS: My go-to drinks are the Roasted Oolong MT and the Passion Fruit Fruit Tea. You can customize the amount of sweetness and ice to your liking as well. The Roast Oolong MT doesnt have a watered down flavor like some other places. TIP: Get a stamp card! Full disclosure; I am not an experienced, boba tea connoisseur. I have only had coffee milk tea a couple of times and that is the extent of my experience with any kind of boba drink or teas. Long story short, I was feeling a little adventurous one day and came out to 7Buddha with my highly experienced, boba tea connoisseur friend and because I trust her judgement more than mine, I asked her to order me something great. So, she ordered the brown sugar, fresh milk tea with flan cake for me. I was a little skeptical when I realized the flan cake would be inside the cup because I figured it might disintegrate and taste like milky, wet bread (if you are anything like me, wet bread is a TOTAL texture violation) but fortunately, the consistency of the flan was firm enough to hold its composure and distribute its savory, caramel flavor throughout the tea. The fresh milk in the tea seemed more like a fluffy, bitter foam. The brown sugar and the savory, caramel flavors that seep out of the flan perfectly balances the drink to taste like the most unique, caramel boba drink you'll ever try. Its ran by young kids who dont have the work ethic as most people. The supervisor or owner always seems to be chillaxing on his phone or walking around or at the Pho restaurant next door. The last time I came here I ordered a raspberry smoothie and it took them 20 minutes to make it, why you ask?. The kid ran out of raspberry flavor, instead of telling me or asking me if i wanted a different flavor, he stayed in the back with the other worker until the manager came back to figure it out.
