I stopped by to exchange my winning Lottery scratcher ticket. The cashier was very nice and talkative while he exchanged my ticket. The convenience store has all the popular goodies but I only came in for the lottery.

Very affordable. It always seems to have the best prices compared to the gas stations that are around the same vicinity. There is also more than enough pumps so you won't ever be waiting for a pump to be available. It's also very modern and clean so it'll always be a good vibe pumping your gas here.

visited 5/17/2017 I prefer to go to Arco because I think their gas is the least expensive, but when you need gas, you need gas!! Made a stop here before heading towards the fwy. Several gas pumps at this somewhat tiny gas station. What I liked the best is that they have a car wash!! Haven't used it yet, but I look forward to trying it out.

Maybe I am too critical but when I get my car washed I expect it to come out cleaner than when it went in. Not the case here!

This review is over a year overdue, but life doesn't always run on schedule, right?…read more Charlie is one of those rare people who genuinely cares more about helping others than making a quick dollar. He reminded me of the kind of neighborhood dad who looks out for everyone, and from the moment I met him, I felt like I was in good hands. I originally went to him because my car kept failing its smog check. Instead of simply taking my money, Charlie explained that I needed to complete a proper drive cycle and encouraged me to come back so he could check it again. In fact, he checked my smog twice without charging me a penny. When I still didn't pass the second check with him, he didn't just send me on my way. He suggested I buy catalytic converter cleaner from a nearby auto parts store to improve my chances the next time, since my catalytic converter was the reason I kept failing. The first place I went never mentioned that. Charlie also told me to drive it a little longer and come back the next day, and he was true to his word. He was there exactly when he said he'd be and checked it again at no charge. The reason I stopped at Charlie's station in the first place was because I overheard two women at a grocery store talking about how wonderful he was. After my own experience, I completely understood why. It's becoming increasingly rare to find someone in this industry who is this honest, patient, dependable, and genuinely invested in helping people. Charlie earned my trust without ever asking for it. In a world where it's easy to become skeptical, people like him are a breath of fresh air. I only wish there were more Charlies around. Every person in this industry could take a page from Charlie's book and prioritize honesty and integrity.

Usually, I tried to fill up at Costco because they had the least-expensive gas around; however, circumstances led me here. The company was founded in 1833 by Marcus Samuel when he decided to expand his London antique business to try and sell oriental seashells as well, due to their popularity in interior design at the time, that ultimately laid the foundation of an import-export business. In the 1880s, his two sons expanded into the oil exporting business. In 1897, his sons renamed the company the Shell Transport and Trading Co. (hence, the logo) and launched their first refinery. On April 23, 1907, the company merged with Royal Dutch to form the Royal Dutch Shell Group (noted as Shell's birthday). Over the decades, the company expanded globally, launched new exploration programs, and found innovations. In the 1980s, the company grew by acquisitions. Today, the company has been met with many challenges from climate change to increased energy needs as it focused to be an active player as the world transitions to a lower carbon emission energy system. Was I shellshocked by the price!? PURCHASE(S) 87 Unleaded Gas ($59.50): I was below the ¼-tank marker and frantically dealt with some last-minute errands before I left town for work. I was the only customer at the time, so I easily pulled into a pump and fueled up immediately. After 13.314 gallons of gas at $4.469/gallon, my CRV was full and ready to go. SERVICE Unless there was something wrong with the pump you were at, the machine was out of receipt paper, or the credit card wasn't working, it was all self-service. Thankfully, my pump flowed quickly and finished fast. If I went inside the food mart, I'm sure I would've seen some employees. All was good and straightforward - thank you! PARKING (N/A) None specifically for the gas station (why would you need one anyway?). However, there were a couple of spots near and behind the food mart - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located along the high-trafficked main drag Pacific Ave., this was a medium gas station with fairly wide one-lane aisles all with long lanes that allowed you to pass around cars. It had a total of 8 pump stations (4 gas lanes with two pumps each). They had soapy suds, squeaky squeegees, paper towels, trash cans, and air & water stations. The pump stations were completely covered from the elements unless a hurricane or tornado headed towards you. And, there was a food mart for any snack. There were a couple of ways to enter/exit the area which alleviated the potential for any traffic jams. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day and plenty of soul-sucking fluorescent lighting at night. There were no TVs or background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=V7Kit6r2uTuBWdNPChpI0A ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Shell's Glendale's Pacific Ave. location served its purpose with its relatively comparable prices, its proximity to the freeway offramp, and the food mart in case I needed any snacks. However, I wasn't aware whether or not they charged for air or water which many stations annoyingly did these days. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $59.50 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

There is limited pumps (only 8 in total) and space compared to other locations, but not bad at all. The gas is quality, not to mention a solid value in price per gallon compared to other gas stations nearby. Located just south of the 134 fwy on Pacific Avenue. It was a very smooth experience at this 24 hour Shell.

I really appreciate that I got such a quick response through the Phillips 66/76 company & although I cannot take down this review due to his current Assistant (who was actually the person I encountered during this incident, apparently he takes over after 3PM) still actively working here I am hoping that what was discussed over the phone today is taken seriously soon. I will keep updating this review whenever necessary. Also, I have changed the rating of this review from 1 to 2 stars just because it seems like this situation is actually being taken seriously & very quickly from Joseph. -- I recently filed a complaint concerning this gas station & it's *Assistant on July 7th, 2022 to the LA County Agricultural Commissioner/Weights & Measures as well as the official 76 company. You can read the extended & more detailed version of what I submitted below: "While I was filling up at this station today, gas started to leak from the fuel nozzle & quickly overflowed out of the side of my car. It did not automatically stop like it should have once the gas tank reached its maximum, which it had seconds prior, causing my gas tank to be over-filled. In order to stop the gas from continuously pumping I had to pull the nozzle out of the fuel opening of my car, breaking the lock holding up the trigger, which did eventually stop the gas from flowing out. To make things worse, the *Assistant (*not Joseph the owner who works before 3PM) of this gas station chose to immediately react aggressively towards me when I initially let him know what happened & did not at all consider taking responsibility for his clearly faulty pump. I asked if he could help me at all, suggesting he could give me something to clean the gas leak on the side of my car/on my foot & he said he couldn't do anything about it. He also said he couldn't leave the store when I asked him if he could do anything about what I believed to be a fairly concerning situation with my car's over-filled tank &/or his broken gas pump, but just as I gave up & walked back out to my car he actually followed me all the way out just to quickly argue towards me (not "with" but "towards") that there was no issue since he sees no gas leak. He repeated his "observation" of seeing no gas leak several times before walking back inside. However, this was only the case because the gas that leaked out of the side of my car had already evaporated. You could see on the floor, however, evidence that gas definitely leaked out. I also got gas on my left socked foot (I was wearing a medical boot at the time) & the strong gas smell was undeniable, both on my car & my foot. This man should not be (*working for) any business & this gas station (*does not seem) well maintained. I am not the only person who has complained about the *Assistant (please see other Yelp reviews for reference). I have already filed a report on this gas station/it's *Assistant through lacounty.gov, however it looks like this man has been (*working at) this station & along with that has also been complained about for years. I do believe he should not have this job & hope that this complaint, as well as all the others, will finally be taken seriously because this was a hazardous situation & I did not feel safe nor did I feel like said hazardous situation was taken at all seriously. I will NEVER stop at this 76 ever again just for the sake of my own safety & peace of mind (*unless circumstances change). I am also prepared to take my business elsewhere (referring to all 76 gas stations) if nothing is done about this particular incident right way. Either this station needs to be shut down due to its (*seemingly) unkept & potentially dangerous fueling stations or the current *Assistant needs to be fully replaced due to neglect & unfair treatment towards customers. Please consider taking this seriously, not just for the customers at this station but for ALL of your customers."

I had barely driven inside when, after the first soap application (which had almost no foam) and a quick rinse, the machine displayed the "GO" sign, indicating that I should exit. I was very surprised and assumed it was a mistake. I pulled out, parked, and went to speak with the employee who had given me the receipt (this time I had to pay at the register because the machine wasn't accepting credit cards). I explained the issue to the cashier. He tried to assure me that everything was working as it should, but I insisted, and he said he would check the cameras. A few minutes later, he returned and said he hadn't noticed anything unusual -- in his opinion, everything was normal. I pointed out that there were fewer wash cycles than usual, that I paid $15 for the top-tier service, but in reality received not even the basic wash -- but a poor-quality version of it. I asked why I hadn't been warned that the wash might not be operating properly, since I wouldn't have chosen the highest-priced option otherwise. He responded that what I choose is up to me. Still confused by the situation, I once again explained exactly what had gone wrong. He asked how long I had been using this car wash. I said about two years. He replied that a lot has changed in two years -- the soap is different, the cycles are different. I immediately responded that I had used this same car wash just a month ago, and everything was fine. He said that he believed everything had worked properly this time as well. At that point, I realized there was no point in continuing the conversation. He didn't seem interested in listening and kept repeating what sounded like a memorized statement about how everything was fine. I turned around and left while he was again insisting that nothing was wrong. I did not receive a refund. I did not receive an apology. I did not receive any acknowledgment of the issue. I will not be returning to this car wash. For management: the employee who assisted me was a man in his 50s.
