Great deep tissue massage. Staff was friendly and place was very clean. Downside is that the spa is loud and I did not get a full hour.

He's better now but hey, it gets tougher being agile and strong enough to outlast a toddler as one gets older There is plenty of parking and it's easy to find as it is part of the shops and restaurants in the Regal Plaza. The waiting area is calm with huge mural in the center. Each end has a service desk so you can be helped more privately. The space is long and narrow, but doesn't feel closed in as it wall to wall windows and north facing so even in the dead of summer it is probably pleasant. If you need a quick energy and hydration boost I noticed a small refrigerator where you can purchase some drinks and snacks. Craig Maxfield is a therapist that I saw many years ago and I was grateful that my daughter (who is also in the profession) found he works there about three days a week! What a God send! He took absolutely amazing care of my particular aches and pains. This professional knows how to approach and read the body and stays in open communication while he is treating you, to make adjustments so that you are always comfortable. The therapy room, bathrooms and circulation are laid out efficiently and appointed in calming colours and decor to set the intention for healing and restoration. The temperature of the room and the table were also very comfortable. I will definitely be going back!

I've consistently had great experiences here, which is why I've continued supporting this business for so long. The therapists I've worked with have always been knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely attentive. They take the time to listen to my concerns before each session and tailor the treatment accordingly. I always leave feeling significantly better than when I walked in, and that's why I've remained a loyal customer for so many years. Unfortunately, I recently learned that IMR is now charging a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, and I have to say, it really annoys me. In today's world, paying with a credit card is the norm, and accepting those processing fees has traditionally just been part of the cost of doing business. Seeing that expense passed directly on to loyal customers--especially members--was disappointing. I truly enjoy supporting this business and would much rather continue my membership, but this new surcharge has honestly made me question whether I want to keep it. It's unfortunate because the quality of the massages has never been the issue. I sincerely hope they reconsider this policy, because it's the one thing that's making me think twice about continuing as a member.

I had an absolutely terrible experience here and will never be back. I came in experiencing a great…read moredeal of pain and was barely mobile. My girlfriend was kind enough to book and prepay for a 90-minute deep tissue massage for me, and decided to book one for herself at the same time. The first 45 minutes were spot on. The original masseuse found the knots in my back, neck, shoulders, and left hip and went straight to work. But midway through the session, someone else entered the room and took over without warning. First off, her hands were freezing. Second, she was completely worthless--zero pressure, no deep tissue work at all, just loads of oil and light rubbing. She "worked" on my right leg, but did absolutely nothing to address the muscle tension. By the end of the session, I was drenched in oil and literally walking with a limp because my left leg had been properly massaged by the first person, but my right leg received zero actual treatment. To make matters worse, when my girlfriend (who had the same masseuse for her entire session) approached the manager about why my therapist was switched, the manager's excuse was: "Oh, because it was her turn." No apology whatsoever. The manager just casually said, "When he comes back, he can request the full session be with the original masseuse." There will not be a next time. Terrible customer service, zero care for a client in pain, and completely unprofessional management. I would never recommend Thai Spa on Eastern Ave.

But fo' really tho'.....you want a high end massage without getting a WWE style smackdown(Refer to my Best Foot Spa Review) Thanks to Regina, we had a very relaxing day! Kevin is really great about explaining to you what's gonna happen, step by step so there's no surprises. He first has you face down and then you inhale a scented oil to get your senses going, Then he goes to work checking on you periodically to ensure that a comfortable amount of pressure is being given making sure your body is at ease during your session. Oils are also used on your body which are very soothing and smell great. One of my favorite parts were the hot rock treatment. Rocks are heated to 170 degrees then cooled to the proper working temperature of 140 degrees and Kevin uses them to work your entire back region. After flipping around, Kevin did some work on my arms, hands, legs, and feet. Upon completion, Wifey and I swapped places, and I went in to finish off with a steam/shower...AHHHHHHHHH!!!! Personal lockers, a robe, and flip flops are provided, as well as complimentary water, and with very competitive reasonable pricing, we definitely will return! ALOHA!!! From my experience I am going to list pro & cons; CONS: 1…read more This massage club is not for the budget minded individual, 2. Listed prices on the wall is not what will be quoted to you (don't know why), 3. Be careful where you want the masseuse to concentrate, they tend to overdue it ( but you asked for it), 4. Medium pressure must mean something entirely different to the Asians (be careful) PROS: 1. Masseuse was friendly and did concentrate on areas of concern ( my case neck and lower back), 2. Time limit was adhered to without cutting out any time, 3, Decor was pleasant, music soft, room temperature good ( not too cold or hot), I hope this helps some of you, strictly my opinion, thank you

This is an upscale Japanese (not Chinese)/Asian massage spa. Nice decor and upscale dressed staff…read more This was my 2nd time there. The massage that I had was great! The table was very comfortable (most Asian massage tables are too hard for me) and has a head cradle instead of a hole in the table. The staff that I met was very nice. The negative comments that I have read seem to be from people that are not knowledgeable about Asian massage spas. To address some of the negative comments: Almost all Asian spas that I have gone to ask for a "tip" upfront. It's why the advertised prices are so low. The $ that I paid, including the upfront tip, for a 90 minute massage was appropriate for an upscale place like this. If you are polite the people you talk to are nice to you too. From my experience with just about every Asian spa that I have visited they say "we are busy" when they don't have any availability at that time. It's because of their limited English, not because they are being rude. Most Asian spas don't have a receptionist. That's how they keep their prices low. It is common for your massage person to have to answer the phone or door during your massage. The only negative thing is that their advertised price, including what they quote over the phone, doesn't include the mandatory tip. If you walk in to make an appointment for a later time they tell you the full price upfront. As a Japanese Asian spa they do not do reflexology foot treatments (massages) From my experience in Japan it is customary for female staff to only massage male clients and male staff to massage female clients. It's not sexist. It's cultural.
