I cannot believe that this 711 location is still here. I am like the other Yelper Alex G. I have been coming to this 711 since I was a kid too. I went to Emerson Jr. High School right behind the Mormon Temple right before you get to Santa Monica and Overland. After and before school, I'd stop here with friends for a slurpee, or any kind of junk food we wanted lol. Anyhow, I was in the area recently, and I stopped by to grab some snacks, They actually moved this location a few streets up behind the trees. Because they were off of Overland ave and Santa Monica for many years. Clerk I ran into seemed cool I guess I didn't run into the rude one. I have been going to this 711 for 50 years since I was a child, earlier tonight when I pointed out that the discounted ,posted price of a drink was misleading I was met by the employee with extreme rudeness. The while entering my number for another discount this rude employees seemingly hit enter while I was still inputting a necessary code to get yet another 4 drink for $9 deal,, this would have cost me nearly double had i not noticed. I walked out mid purchase and this child called out in a high pitched squeal Bye . A pathetic attempt to taunt me. I have never had a single other issue at this location ever in my life This unprofessional, unhappy childish clerk ,cost all future business from a kifelong customer. This is a great 7-11 location. The coffee is surprisingly good, especially if you use the bean-to-cup machines in the back. They keep it clean, the staff is cool and they recognize you when you're a regular. They also make sure to take care of customers even when they're busy with stocking late at night. read more

This is the best 7-Elevens I've ever been to. The store's always clean, shelves are stocked, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. You can tell they actually care about the place and the people coming in. Parking is easy, which is rare for spots like this, and the area just feels safe and calm--none of that sketchy vibe you sometimes get at other convenience stores. I always go out of my way to stop at this 7/11 for coffee even though there are closer ones to where I work because this location is always clean and safe. Management is always around to make sure everyone's getting helped and not bothered by anyone who could potentially be on the street or near the store. It's a solid go-to! They always have the best coffee flavors. Highly recommend this location if you're nearby. Always a good experience. read more

This 7-11 has an unusually high rating and deserves it. Has the typical sketchy nonsense outside any LA 7-11, but the managers do an awesome job of keeping it feel safe. They often have pretty good specials so it isn't that expensive for a convenience store. read more

I actually I love 7-Eleven chains. It's a special culture out here not for the faint hearted. This place brings in all kinds of people from all walks of life. My advice is to come during the day time if you are a lady and just appreciate different people and their culture. Who knows - talking to a homeless person (myself included as I'm situated in LA - not homeless in SF) might bring you more knowledge than you would read in a book at a University. This location is super clean and friendly. I never have to worry about being harassed. I'm always greeted with a smile and by a welcoming employee. The consistently have great deals and to be honest it's probably one of the cleanest locations I've seen. They've also done wonders cleaning up the stragglers that blow that way. If I come at night or there's loiterers, the employee working walks me to my car. Doesn't get better than this store. read more

This is a superior 7-Eleven. 50 cent bumping like it's like 2005. I got a fountain soda and the ice cubes were pristine and perfect size. They have Coke Zero which is hard to fine. Cannot wait to come back. read more

When I think convenience stores I envision a quick stop, suiting a purpose, but not necessarily a 'customer service' heavy visit. I don't expect much. This 7-11 is far from that usual cold, lifeless stereotype though. From my guess it's family owned and operated, and the people there are just so damn nice. They remember you, chat you up. They joke around with customers all day and with each other, it adds such warmth to an otherwise carbon copy 7-11. They sell the same cheap items every other 7-11 does, but it's the service that makes the location pop to mind. Just the other day I watched them send two little kids on their way with a free slurpee (or slushee, whatever those things are called). What nice surprise, the kids had two drinks and the cashier said hey, take that one from us and enjoy. I've never seen that kind of "ma and pa shop" touch at a chain before. The kids were thrilled! I'm just giving credit where credit is due. There may be a billion 7-11s out there but this one is clean, it's convenient, and best of all it's got the warmth of a corner store from back in the day. That type of service plus a Redbox outside, why go elsewhere? read more

Quick and dirty: Pretty dirty and rundown 7-Eleven. Never any fresh hot foods. There are always homeless people waiting outside and the scene at night can get a bit creepy at times. Nitty Gritty: There are a couple 7-Elevens in this area and they are both run down and in poor shape, but this one is a bit better. The other location is up closer to Wilshire on Westwood Blvd. This location see it's fair share of homeless people and it can feel a bit unsafe walking in and out at night. But I can't say that's not typical for most 7-Elevens on the westside. This location never had fresh looking food in their hot case but they don't really give you a hard time if you ask them to put something in the turbo oven. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I have come by a few times in the morning and things just didn't look appealing and there was no coffee smell. They have the same selection of candy as every other location, an ok icee machine (when working) and good selections on the fountain soda. Your basic everyday 7-Eleven. read more

Oh wow. I do not post reviews but don't come in the store. This has to be the worst 7-Eleven I have been to - twice now. The last time I came in they didn't have any coffee made because they stop making it after the morning. Now this morning I found out that they don't even make the exclusive blend which is their brand lol. I'm also realizing my second time in that it is filthy inside. Not only did the food make me sick they overcharged me and when I asked and showed them why and how they started talking between each other in there native tongue so I couldn't understand whaat was going. I was in the area for work, it was early in the morning, Santa Monica Blvd was empty and I had the urge to play me some lottery. I often vibe certain numbers and before they leave my head I must find a place to play those numbers and that is how I found myself at this 7/11. I pulled into the parking lot just about 6:00am and found the parking lot to have quite a few transients hanging about. It was no sooner that I exited my vehicle that I was approached and asked for money. As I walked through the parking lot toward the 7/11 I observed it to be littered with trash and debris. As I approached the doors leading into the 7/11 I observed the glass doors to have quite a few smudge / hand marks as if they had not been cleaned in at least a few hours. As I entered the 7/11 itself the smell of transient filled the air. If you have ever smelled the funk of transient you know what I am talking about, if you haven't continue to thank your lucky stars. I walked around the store and selected bottled water from the rear refrigerator, it was cold and that was the only nice thing I found about this location. I walked around this 7/11 for a few minutes as construction workers pilled in to pick-up food / drink for the day, shocked that anyone would consider it a good idea to eat anything that was prepared inside of this smelly dump. I was shocked as I walked around and the state of cleanliness of this business. Not only were the floors dirty by the walls, the coffee condiment section and the shelves were just plain nasty. I finally had enough walked up to the cashier to pay for my water and to finally play the lottery. I guess I should not be shocked that at the time of my visit the lottery kiosk was not working. I paid for my water and left never to return. As I walked back to my vehicle I was once again approached by transients (plural) and asked for money. I entered my vehicle and got out of dodge. There is no chance I ever stop by this location again. If you live in the area and visit this 7/1 for anything I would suggest visiting during off hour and see if that changes your mind. read more

Young Cashier is an Asshole, wouldn't make a Pizza for me, I wanted to buy 2 slices, said there's no point in making A whole pizza just for two slices. They were going to make a whole pizza anyways and sell the slices separately. Yes there were customers behind me but they could have been all checked out while the pizza was in the oven. Are they waiting to sell just one pizza knowing the better deal is by buying two. Bad customer service. I pass through here every day. Its the first time I stop at this 7eleven. Never had this issue with any other 7elevens. I was going to talk shit to him but there was kids present with other customers so I just walked away. But fuck that young cashier!!! On 9/14/15 around 7:30, the register an Indian guy started to make some racial jokes to an Hispanic person. This is the kind of comments that a person never say to a customer regardless of his/her background. This is becoming my main 7-Eleven. The one down the street in the strip mall recently closed when they demolished it. This one is a bit small, but it does the trick. There are only about 5 spots in the parking lot so it can take some skill to park with everyone coming and going. Once your inside you have everything you need, including beer and wine. The people that run it are friendly also, so that's a bonus. read more

I've never felt compelled to the point of taking the time to leave a review before, but the customer service I received was truly ideal and justifiably worthy of the effort of taking a moment to leave a review. I just honestly never thought the first place I'd get the inspiration to review would turn out to be a 7/11 of all places. Especially given that I often stop into dozens of 7/11and often don't think much of it. Well, this place just had that genuinely helpful and willing to go out of his way employee that went above my expectations yo make sure I was happy with my visit. I feel I should also mention the store was very clean and fully stocked with some of the item I've recently not found on the shelves at every store I've been to recently. Bought a Big Gulp and a king size Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Suppose to get 75 cents off the candy when I bought the Big Gulp. Guy at the counter rang it all wrong at first. Asked him if he applied the discount. He re-rang it again, and it was somehow 50 cents more than the original price he gave me. At this point a line was forming behind me and I was pissed.
