I usually fill my prescriptions at CVS, but when they stopped carrying Adderall, my doctor sent my latest prescription to this Walgreens. I have severe depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and Adderall makes a huge difference in managing these conditions. For two weeks, I've called daily to check on the status, hoping for a clear answer. Today, the pharmacist informed me they were out of stock, but what was most upsetting was their attitude: "Even if we did have it, I would prioritize our returning customers over someone new." I found this response to be dismissive and unfair. Access to necessary medication should be on a first-come, first-served basis, especially for something as critical as this. Struggling without my medication has already been challenging, and the lack of compassion from the staff added to the frustration. read more

Been at this Walgreen's many times since it opened. It's next to the Trader Joe's I usually go to. Get my prescriptions filled here. Joined their Rewards program and save money on many things. Yesterday used some of my Rewards money to save another two dollars on a purchase. Got my COVID vaccine booster here yesterday. Got my first two shots at UCLA hospital in February and March. For some reason UCLA Health was only offering boosters at their locations in Torrance or Redondo Beach, so decided to go to this Walgreen's. Made the appointment to get my booster online. Went in yesterday morning and quickly got my booster. The person who gave me the shot was very good. Since I had closed my eyes and looked the other way didn't even know I had received the booster until she told me I had. Just like the last two times, had no side effects except a little soreness around the injection site that began a few hours later and is already gone. Wish I could give Walgreen's extra stars for the bandage they put over the injection site. Unlike some bandages, it came off very easily. read more

The digital copy you can get is not the processed version which certainly wont meet government requirements. I'm literally sitting here in the store as I'm typing this review and boy am I heated. I came here to pick up some prints and it was oddly slow when I arrived so I thought it'd be an in and out type of deal. As I was at the photo counter, the Latina woman by the name of Angela was giving me a very hard time stating that the prints aren't ready and it'll take longer since I also ordered posters on top of the regular small prints. I said-- ok, no problem. I then asked her approximately how long and she said an hour. Mind you, my order online according to the Walgreens website says I maybe had 28mins left of a wait. Also, there was probably 3 customers total in the shop. Instead of going back & forth and wasting time, she could've just finished my order right then and there. But totally fine. Out of my control. Well, I gave her a few more minutes and started shopping in other aisles within the store to burn time--went back to the photo counter and she wasn't there. I had to find another employee for help and was told that Angela went to lunch. Well that's convenient! I then had to wait 15 more mins and then that's when she decided to work on my order. But wait, the job was still incomplete as they lost 1 out of 3 of my orders...... OF COURSE! So, it is currently 1pm and I AM JUST NOW LEAVING after having to RE-SUBMIT my order. Now, I will be late to my meeting. This has to be the absolute worst experience ever-- just one simple task. No apology or accountability from Angela whatsoever, but my expectations were extremely low at that point and I was ready to go. Management, I kindly ask you to reach out to me as there are a few things I'd like to discuss, including overhearing Angela mumble rudely about me to another employee. The review here is for the pharmacy. If you want to get vaccinations here, don't bother making a reservation. I have done both: made reservations online and also a walked in. Regardless of the reservations, I waited 30+ minutes to be seen. It is not frustrating to wait 30+ minutes when you walk in but with a reservation, you expect to be seen a bit earlier. The gentleman at the window also did not exhibit any form of customer service. Asked me to fill out a form, then took it, and walked away, not letting me know to wait at the window or wait at a seat. He took quite some time to come back with a receipt. I am NOT asking for over the top customer service...just wanting simple communication in a somewhat timely manner. The unfortunate part is that I will have to use this pharmacy again as the location is most convenient. Good thing I don't have to use the pharmacy all the time. read more

This Walgreens location has always been really convenient since it's located next to the TJs that I usually visit. Everyone at this location has been nice and helpful. With the pandemic, they have shown to be very concerned and conscious of people's well-being. Everyone wears masks and they have plenty of hand sanitizer available. The only reason for the drop of one star is that if you're ever there to pick up a prescription, it can easily take 15-20 minutes just to wait in line. Not sure if all pharmacies are slow these days, or if it is just this location. read more

I never shop here, but it is an excellent place to pick up Walgreens.com online orders. They are always efficient and courteous. Pick up your package in the Camera/Photo area. I recently found out that you can also have FED-UP packages delivered here for pick-up. A good idea in this area where package thieves patrol the streets. A nice size Walgreens. In the same building with Trader Joe's and shares a parking lot for one stop shopping. Super convenient. Shopped here to pick up some household items. Didn't use the pharmacy. Staff was friendly and helpful. I do wish, however, that the checkout line was more clearly marked. I liked how, besides the usual convenience store items, they also had cute Halloween and Dia de los Muertos decorations and super cool masquerade type masks (those are hard to find when you need them and I would never think to shop at Walgreens for that so, note to self). I highly suggest getting a Walgreen's card and adding the app to your phone and adding the coupons on the app so you can get discounts and money back. read more

After losing out on the Dia de Los Muertos decorations I wanted to buy at Rite Aid, lucky me, turned out they had them here!!!! YES! Decorative skulls - tea lights, mugs, wreath, hangings, etc. I got the tea light skulls & a garden stick w/a decorative skull - I tore off the stick and drilled a tiny hole, put fishling line through it and hung up on my front window! Same prices as what Rite Aid had them for, although I was wondering why the tea lights were a little bit pricey (they were small) $4.99 each? Oh well, still cheaper than those stores I mentioned on my Rite Aid review in SM. This store is large, clean and organized. Parking available, however it's roof top and you have to drive up a winding spiraling ramp to get to it and walk to the escalators/elevators by crossing the entrance a top and people haul ass up in there!!! There was an older gentleman directing cars in and out - but still the drivers weren't paying attention to him and kept driving like idiots in there...Why this goes on in parking lots is beyond me? What puzzles me more, is why people drive aggressively while parking? Lol idiots! It's conveniently located and connected to a Trader Joe's and across the way from that is a real nice Ralph's market. Joy! PS...don't forget to bring your own bags, I kept forgetting that almost all the stores out there in WLA charge for bags and I just have way too many, from purchasing in DTLA. read more

I've been a Walgreens customer for many years in the past but recently switched back after using a pharmacy in the lobby of my doctors office because it was more convenient. I like this particular branch. The pharmacist is nice and the people working there as well. They notify me via text when I have an upcoming refill which is great and I like the convenience of being able to pick up other items like vitamins or health aids while I'm there. The selection and prices are pretty good. My only gripe is that sometimes the pharmacy gets slammed and you have to wait or come back. I try to come at off times to minimize this. This feedback is for the FedEx drop off service at Walgreens in Sawtelle. I dropped of an express FedEx package on a Tuesday. I kept track of it on my phone the next day and saw that it said "DELAYED". I went to the Walgreens the following Friday to see if someone could help me figure out why it was delayed (I had theory...) and to my non-surprise, the package was still there, sitting on the floor with the employee's hoodie on top of it like it was some table to be used. No wonder it didn't get picked up, with the pile of crap on top of it. If you have a FedEx package, please take it to an actual FedEx and not whatever this Walgreen's was running. read more

They did not honor the store policy and instead of giving me cash or putting it back on my card they gave me a gift card. Yes, sometimes there is a line like many other pharmacies I have been to but the staff is no-nonsense friendly, helpful, and in my abundant experience, work hard to get us out the door. They have a tough job working with the general, highly probable ailing public as this kind of work requires patience and empathy. Don't blame the pharmacy. The people here are great. This location is especially nice because you can go to Trader Joe's to do some grocery shopping while you wait. In my frequent experience, the line has had 3-5 people ahead of me MAX. Of course it will be on the busier side if you go during rush hours (I.e. after work).. I got my Covid shot as a walk in here and there was no wait. Only one person in line after me. I didn't, and although tempting to save a few bucks, I and decided not to sign up, as I'm not really a Walgreens shopper unless I'm killing time in between West LA appointments. Store is huge, well organized, stocked with name brand OTC meds and cosmetics, greeting cards, seasonal decorations/items, toys even a limited selection of fitness equipment. Staff is pleasant and as efficient at answering questions as in during check out. Pharmacy offers various vaccines as advertised in the windows along Olympic Boulevard. No matter the time of day, the line for the Pharmacy here takes 45-60 minutes, just to check in. Even if there is no line, If you can believe that. Even if you've made a vaccine appointment for a particular time. The best part is that everyone working behind the counter ignores the clientele, doing oddly silent work on computers without making eye contact and, today, spending 10 min on the phone with another Walgreens employee speaking about shift hours for upcoming weeks. Ordered 3 canvases from this location, e-mail said they would be ready at a certain time. I never got an email confirming ready to pickup, so I called, and they said they weren't ready and to call back in the afternoon. I called back then, got put on hold hot-potato for about 30 minutes, then finally got ahold of someone who informed me they only had 1 canvas and wouldn't have more until probably next week earliest. Absurdly bad photo dept. I live down the street from this Walgreens, so sometimes, when the photo ink is low on my printer, I send pictures here for printing. Tonight, my son needed to collect about 20 photos to decorate his 3rd grade writing journal. My son picked a couple of Fortnite and Avengers pics from online, and I sent them over the Walgreens for printing, as I have done at least 10 times in the last couple of years. The prints were supposed to be ready in 1/2 an hour. After a while, I noticed I hadn't gotten a notification that the order was ready. The store was getting ready to close (10PM) so I called over and was placed on hold multiple times, for a total of about 10 minutes. When I finally got to a person, he told me he couldn't print a couple of my pics because they were from Fortnite, and that is a "licensed product." I told him that was absurd, and not only had I had similar pics printed with them the previous week, the pictures were for a school project, and not being resold. He said he still wouldn't print the pictures. After about 5 minutes of back and forth, I finally cropped the word "FORTNITE" out of 2 of the pics and reuploaded them, and he said he'd print and I could come pick up right then. When I got to the store, he decided that the 2 Avengers pics I included (that he had already printed out and had always been in my order) also violated this arbitrary "licensed product" rule. They were literally printed and in my order and he wasn't going to give them to me. After some discussion, he asked me to sign a pre-printed standard form saying I wouldn't sell the pics (which of course, I was never planning to do) and let me take the pics. If there was a pre-printed form, why would he make such a big deal about the Fortnite pics in the first place, instead of just asking me to sign????? Either way, not a positive experience and I am fairly certain it was just a single worker who wanted to cause trouble and show a customer he was powerful. Absurdly stupid and from now on, I'll just drive the extra 5 minutes to go to the other CVS or Walgreens down the street. read more

I was trying to get my medicine. Got an override from my insurance company. Yet, they said there was nothing they could do. It is a controlled substance. It's still an insurance company issue if they can't give you the medicine or a bridge because you're almost out. But they were really rude to me. Wouldn't even come to the counter and help me. Also my doctor talked to them and they wouldn't help me then. I later on found out that, apparently, the pharmacist who talked to my doctor claimed I had extra medication in my purse. I take a lot of medication because of my health not because I am a drug addict. I understand the laws are strict but judging someone by looking at a bottle of pills? I had two days worth. And I take it three times a day. And they're going to judge me on sight? It's just preposterous. read more

Do not order photo prints from this store. I ordered canvas photo prints for same day pick up & it wasn't ready. They said they ran out of the canvas and could have it ready by Wednesday at 10am. I called before I came to pick it up and they said it was ready. When I came to pick them up, there was a scratch on the canvas. The quality is terrible! I can't believe they were going to have my pay for it like this. Now I'm waiting AGAIN for them to fix the print and make it right. I will not come here again for photo prints of any kind. Absolutely astonished at how disrespectful and uninformed the staff at this Walgreens was. I just spoke with Gustavo, the pharmacist on duty yesterday about refilling a prescription. I explained that the pharmacy I usually use does not have it in stock and my medication is highly regulated, therefore, my doctor will not send it to multiple locations to check if they have it in stock. My usual pharmacists advised me to call a variety of locations in the area to check if they have my prescription in stock. The informed and helpful pharmacist at the Walgreens on Beverly, kindly told me that they do not have my prescription in stock but the location on Olympic does. He advised me to call them to confirm. Gustavo, not only refused to check if they had it in stock until the end of the call when I kept repeating my question, but he also told me to come in person to ask. All professionals are advising EVERYONE to STAY HOME and handle everything by phone if possible. It is absolutely inexcusable for him to recommend that I come into the pharmacy just to check if they have the medication in stock when he can tell me this information over the phone. Then he told me they did not have my medicine in stock and hung up the phone on me. I called the pharmacy back 5 minutes later and Joanna was able to provide me with all of the information I needed immediately. They did have the generic brand in stock. Pharmacies cannot tell you what shipments they are getting but they can tell you if they have it in stock. They cannot guarantee they can fill your prescription because they are getting requests every day. However, if they have it in stock, that is a good indicator that they will be able to fill it eventually. During this time especially, it is vitally important to get the right information from our healthcare providers. I hope everyone holds their healthcare providers accountable for delivering the right information and assisting you during this critical time. read more
